After the destruction of the Ocean Palace, Magus meets with the heroes on a cliffside and tells them how to resurrect the fallen Crono and joins them [[HazyFeelTurn so that they can kill Lavos together]]. Later leading the charge on the Black Omen to kill his mother, Magus joins the rest of the party in fighting and killing Lavos after that, succeeding in his life's mission.
