* Despite Vector and Blaze's [[TeethClenchedTeamwork clashing personalities]], they're able to put aside their differences and work together with Silver and each other. They save Cream from drowning, evacuate several innocent civilians, save a couple of G.U.N. helicopter pilots from a crashed chopper, and that's all before teaming up against the [[spoiler: Blackguard Pirates]] and their leader, [[spoiler: Captain Metal]].

* Just like Sonic, Big remains a FriendToAllLivingThings. After dredging a drowning stranger ([[ComicBook/SonicTheComic Johnny Lightfoot]]) out of a river in Chapter 16 (We Three Kings), the cat cheerfully agrees to help him get to Station Square to find Amy. When they run into Sticks, they're initially freaked out by her [[WildChild aggressive nature]] and rant-prone ConspiracyTheorist personality, but the badger shows a [[BruiserWithASoftCenter softer]] side when she [[spoiler: gives Johnny her own staff to replace the one he lost]].

* In Chapter 19 (Prismatic), Sparks- a surviving member of a Resistance from a war-torn future world that was conquered by the Eggman Empire- stumbles across a damaged [[spoiler:Shard the Metal Sonic]], who is obviously (partially, at least) Eggman Empire technology. He immediately sets about fixing him up, chatting to him, reassuring him that he means no harm even when he's [[RidiculouslyHumanRobots visibly freaked out]] by Sparks' presence and his own unfamiliar surroundings, and defending him from an irate Shorty the Squirrel, who's convinced that he's a [[spoiler: Metallix, the ComicBook/SonicTheComic version of a Metal Sonic.]]

* In Chapter 21 (Endangered Species), after Slate has had his ass soundly kicked by [[spoiler: Thrash]] a mysterious masked stranger (who is eventually revealed to be [[spoiler: Shade from [[VideoGame/SonicChronicles Sonic Chronicles]]]]) intervenes and saves him, leading to this exchange, which becomes Heartwarming upon the character's identity being revealed...[[ContinuityLockOut provided]] you're familiar with their character, of course.

* As ever, Sonic and Tails' [[BashBrothers brotherly friendship]] is this. The story's first chapter starts off with the plenty of banter between the two, with Tails good-naturedly observing how bored Sonic is without [[NoChallengeEqualsNoSatisfaction an Eggman plot to oppose]].

* In Chapter 21 (Endangered Species), after Slate has had his ass soundly kicked by [[spoiler: Thrash]] a mysterious masked stranger (actually [[spoiler: Shade from [[VideoGame/SonicChronicles]])]] intervenes and saves him, leading to this exchange, which becomes Heartwarming upon the character's identity being revealed...[[ContinuityLockOut provided]] you're familiar with their character, of course.

* In Chapter 24 (Everything), Amy is broadly treated like a member of her family by Vanilla, who comforts and encourages her as she laments Sonic [[HopelessSuitor not returning her affections]]. While all this is happening, Amy is sneaking [[BigEater Chocola]] cookies [[SugarWiki/FunnyMoments behind Vanilla’s back.]]

* In a nice aversion of LetsYouAndHimFight, Bunnie quickly warms to Tekno and Shorty in Chapter 28 (The Fighters), sympathizing with Shorty's experience as a Cybernik just as he empathizes with [[NotSoDifferent her own experience being Roboticized]]

* As ever, Sonic and Tails' brotherly friendship is this, as the story's first chapter starts off with the former visiting the latter in good humor, even as Tails notes knowingly, yet sympathetically, how bored Sonic is without an Eggman plot to oppose.

* Despite liking the large nature of an urban setting like Station Square, Cream retains her youthful appreciation for the smaller things in life, and would prefer not to live her life based on routine.

* Although the comradery among Team Dark is less visible than the friendships between Sonic and Tails as well as Cream and Cheese, it is still there as shown when Rouge asks Shadow about his status in concern when he has a headache on their arrival to Angel Island, and even when she lightly teases him, Shadow fights the urge to smile back to maintain his serious image.

* Despite clashes of personality between Vector and Blaze when they first team up with Silver and each other, they nonetheless work ably together to save Cream as well as several diners and G.U.N. servicemen from losing their lives and later in opposing the [[spoiler: pirate crew of Captain Metal]].

* In spite of Shadow's bad reputation in the BadFuture, Royce still speaks in honor of his alliance with the Emerald Network after his apparent death.

* Although Team Dark's first meeting with Relic and Fixit goes considerably awkward as the latter two expect the former three to already know of them, Rouge eventually sympathizes with Relic's feelings of inadequacy compared to the Master Emerald in Knuckles' view and decides to accompany her to the Hidden Palace Zone for her own protection as much as Knuckles'.

* While Sonic still mourns Emerl's passing, he strives not to hate either Eggman or other villains for the harm they've done, and instead stands up for Chaos' lack of popularity for the role he played in Station Square's flooding and the echidna people's extinction as much as he treats Fixit warmly upon first meeting him.

* Big remains an infectious FriendToAllLivingThings as ever. Upon helping [[spoiler: Johnny Lightfoot]] out of the river he found himself in, the cat sincerely agrees to help him get to Station Square to find Amy, and later, upon meeting Sticks, the badger joins their friendship circle by [[spoiler: giving her wooden staff for Johnny to keep it]].
