* This episode has two moments involving Tohru’s mother, who is usually known to be very hard to please, and always at odds with Uncle. First, she admits she is proud of her son because he substituted for Santa. Second, Uncle reveals that he actually bought her a Christmas present.

* It is somewhat hilarious, but Captain Black and Section 13 were willing to use all the resources they had to get Jade a video game she wanted is really special.

* The reveal at the end of the episode that the Chan Clan actually had a party planned for Jade's birthday attended by them, the J-Team, and a host of other characters including Section 13 personnel. While Jade falls asleep before learning this, its the thought that counts especially as it seemed the Demon Chi issue had distracted everyone from remembering her birthday.

* When Jade astral projects into Uncle's dream to get the spell for the Earth Demon, Uncle is very cherry and hugs her while stating the girl to be his favorite person in the world. Fridge Heartwarming when you realize that Jade screws up a bunch before and after this episode yet never receives Uncle's signature DopeSlap lending credence while Jackie (whom Uncle pretty much raised) has received it for just talking out of turn.

* Under the influence of amnesia, Tohru doesn't remember he's allied with the Chan Clan. What ultimately gets him to return to the good side is, when Valmont abandons him to his fate, Tohru warms up to Jackie for sticking with him and fighting the monsters with him. Also doubles as a SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome when he crossly calls out Valmont on not sharing Jackie's loyalty, despite claiming Tohru was his loyal henchman.

*** Think about that for a second...Unlce is trusting his liveihood (and thanks to his spell books what is essentially a nuclear arsenal) to man whose threatened his family multiple times and until a few hours ago was an enemy. You can't be surprised that by the end of the episode the big guy's found work and a home at Uncle's shop. Least of all an UndyingLoyalty to the Chan Clan for the rest of the series.

Later, when Wong attempts to blast off Valmont, the Enforcers suddenly throw their weapons at Wong, and levitate them mere inches away from him.
