* At Mt Gagazet, the Ronso promise to bar Yevon's path and give Yuna as much time as she needs to reach Zanarkand. They then say they will erect a statue in her honour. One Ronso then adds "with grand horn on head" and Yuna is so adorably pleased at this. It's also a nice little MythologyGag since in the [[FinalFantasyIX previous game in the series]], summoners did have horns.

After running away for a bit, Yuna refuses to leave him behind, giving us [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXt3Y4gsFwc&t=8m18s this dialogue]] that this troper found absolutely adorable.

* Several scenes, but especially the {{Cutscene}} "The Spring", in which [[spoiler:Yuna and Tidus kiss]].

** For this troper, the 90+ hours of plot, Sphere Grid-grinding, monster hunting, Chocobo racing, and Blitzball, were all justified by [[spoiler: Tidus giving Jecht a high-five in the Farplane]]. This troper even went out and hugged his father afterwards.
*** This Troper felt a CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming ''after the Jecht fight''. Yes, [[spoiler: Jecht dying and Tidus' "I hate you" is actually a Tearjerker]], but for some reason [[spoiler: Jecht's half-smile and "I know, I know"]] warmed the cockles of her heart.
*** Especially if you remember that Tidus' mother convinced him to want Jecht to come home alive by saying if Jecht didn't, Tidus could never tell him that he hated him. So technically the "I hate you" stuff was his way of confirming that [[spoiler his dad was back with him, if only for a moment]].
** While we're on the subject, the sequel, FinalFantasyX2, gets one in the good end. Seeing [[spoiler:Yuna jump out of the cargo hold of the Celsius and practically tackle Tidus as he walks out of the surf]] made the entire damn goofy game worthwhile. The dialogue may be {{Narm}}-tastic, but it's [[NarmCharm adorable]].
** This troper particularly had a silly smile fixed on his face while the good ending in which [[spoiler:Tidus doesn't come back]]. True, this isn't the happiest ending possible, but Yuna's happy face was priceless.

* Also, when Yuna learns that the plan in the works to stop the big bad involves yet more people sacrificing their lives, she states with heartfelt emotions that the plan SUCKS, and proceeds to wing it to a new one.
** That, and the similar, though decidedly less grandiose moment in X-2, convinced this troper that Yuna should find work as a consultant. She has a knack with detecting when plans suck.
* When the party reaches Mount Gagazet and Maester Kelk Ronso tells Yuna that the Ronso will make a statue for her and honor it, [[spoiler:even if the rest of Spira consider her a traitor]].
** Especially since they say they'll put a "great horn" on it, which is a very big deal to a Ronso. They're seesentially giving her a very high honour among their own people.
*** Which also doubles (unintentionally?) as a ShoutOut to Final Fantasies III, V, Tactics and IX, where summoners had a horn in their forehead (in the first three instances as headgear, in the latter as actual horns).
* At the end of Final Fantasy X, after you defeat the Big Bad of the game, Tidus tries to hug Yuna from behind. It's very sad and heartwarming at the same time because [[spoiler:even though he is vanishing, he still cares enough for Yuna to try and comfort her before he disappears]].
* Auron telling Tidus the truth about himself, and revealing why Auron continued to look after Tidus as [[spoiler: a promise to Jecht]]. What really sold it was Jecht giving Auron a hug while calling him "a stiff" yet that's what he liked about him!
* [[spoiler: Before Auron gets sent by Yuna]], this troper found the part where he gives Kimahri, the character he's interacted with the least, a friendly nudge before going really touching. The fact that his badass theme was playing helped.
