** Don't know that "protecting humanity" was a factor in their programming (though "'''EVERYTHING else is just a toy'''" was). And considering how quick the Commandos were to consider humans tangentially related to the Gorgonites as enemy combatants (even ''shooting Timmy in the face'' before he has a chance to "declare his allegiance"), any kid with a beloved teddy bear or furby might be at risk in that scenario.

* Do the Gwendy Dolls already have the same kind of mechanical endo-skeleton inside them as the Commandos? If not, how are hollow dolls supposed to move and see things around them without the same technology? Even then, if the Commandos built endo-skeletons for them, where would they get the parts to build that much advanced tech for that many dolls?

* The toys are all powered by Lithium-based batteries. Keeping in mind that Lithium is extremely flammable, why doesn't Chip Hazard completely explode when Alan puts him between the terminals on the power pole?

** This is explained in the movie. Bill Mars' assistant tells Larry and Irwin that he wants the Gorgonite and Commando Elite toylines ready for sale in three months, and Irwin tries tell her that it takes six months in part because of product testing, but Larry assures her that three months is fine. In other words, production was rushed and corners were cut as a result.

* What is the actual reason for the Commando Elite to be fighting the Gorgonites? Other then FantasticRacism, we're never given a motivation. Considering the Gorgonites are programmed to be meek and only searching for their homeland of Gorgon, what exactly caused this "war" to happen, lore wise? Did the Gorgonite Ship crash and kill all of the Commando's families?

** Same for the Gorgonites themselves. We are to assume that they reach Gorgon, so do they just "live" in the forest forever? I know that this involves thinking far more about this movie than anyone should but it's just a weird little quirk bugging this troper.

* So let's say that the Commando Elite actually succeeded in destroying the Gorgonites. What would happen next? Since that's what their programmed to do, would they simply shut down or would they remain sentient and start looking for other Gorgonite toys to fight?

** It probably wasn't extensive testing. They probably did little more than test the voice activation and articulation before turning them off and pushing production. Most of the issues were from long term activation. It's kind of like testing a device for functionality but not thinking to test for continuous or repetitive use.

* How did nobody manage to realise during the development of the toys that they were dangerous? Yes I know the CEO forced them to rush it so they said there wouldn't be time for testing, but they must have done some testing just to make sure they worked.

** The damage sustained by Brick and Freakenstein left their circuits 'open', and essentially harmless outside of the damaged systems. The mangling Nick got probably shorted out his circuitry instead, permanently ruining him.

** Kinda FridgeBrilliance. The Gorgonites are a more primitive race, without as much medical skill, while the Commandos are military trained, and Bazooka was really just disassembled They put him back together, with tape to make sure he stayed together, much like a cast. Nick Nitro, on the other hand, was SHREDDED. His legs were destroyed, not just taken off. Think chainsaw vs car for damage. Of course, It's been years since I saw the film, so I might be wrong. But it was my favourite movie way back, and I watched it a LOT.
** They didn't want to turn him into what they viewed as a "hideous beast".
** If you believe what Chip Hazard said, The garbage disposal didn't just slice Nick's legs of but also cut through the Lithium Cell causing the battery acid to leak out. Sort of a toy's equivalent to bleeding to death.

** The other Chip Hazards were probably left deactivated by the main baddie -- no point in confusing the chain of command. The Gorgonites? Fragged 'em all.

*** Looked like mostly just stuff from the hardware section.
** Forced rarity like that actually happens. Often because of low expected demand, it can be very likely that their might have only been a single Chip in the bunch. This happens a lot with team toylines like the ''Power Rangers:'' a shipment can contain a few dozen of the Red and Blue Rangers, and maybe a single Pink or Yellow, with almost no villains to speak of. The lack of Chip was something of the inverse of real life, but in the context of a single shipment, it does happen.

* Freakenstein (can't spell his actual name) gets ripped apart by the Commando Elite. Brick Bazooka has his lower half torn off. Both are repaired, Bazooka to full functionality. Why, then, does Nick Nitro "die" (for lack of a better word) when his legs are shredded? Freakenstein had to have been more damaged than him, they couldn't even give him both arms!
