** This troper was pretty sure that was intentional. It made the family seem very jaded.

* [[WebVideo/BadMovieBeatdown Film Brain]] is out of character. This wouldn't bug me much - RuleOfFunny and all that (plus it's flippin' adorable) - except that the Nostalgia Critic appeared in Bad Movie Beatdown: The Jazz Singer as a BadBoss - and Film Brain was definitely not his lapdog in that skit. Can anyone else who remembers that make sense of the change?

*** Yes, it is. It's his website. Other people may run it, but he's the reason it exists. Insano made a sizable appearance, Yanki J storms Molossia, and Beary even gets a few lines. I've only watched some people's videos, but I don't think that many of the other contributors have multiple characters. Linkara does, but he had just come off their CrowningMomentOfAwesome at the end of the Mechakara arc, and probably wouldn't have wanted to use them for minor cameos. And Benzaie kind of does, but they're all pretty obviously supposed to be him. And really, what's the big deal? Chester had one gag in the charge, Ask That Guy had one quick joke about how he was a pointless cameo, Dominic was on screen for all of two seconds, and Spider-Smith was a reference to recent events. It's not like Doug's other characters overshadowed everyone else.

* [=JewWario=]'s costume during the Episode 2 battle goes from the trench coat and baseball bat to a t-shirt and Wario hat once he [[spoiler:falls in front of the train]].

*** FridgeBrilliance: [[spoiler: As a WA*RI*ON, [=JewWario=] has the ability to channel the powers (and personalities) of each of his predecessors--including Yanki J. This especially makes sense as he is unaware of his powers at this point and, as such, doesn't have any control over them.]]

** Perhaps he was [[spoiler:disarming the dynamite]] already.

* So, how did Cinema Snob [[spoiler: disarm the dynamite as he left]]? There didn't seem like enough time for him to [[spoiler: disarm the dynamite as soon as he was banished]] like he said.

* Yeah, another characterization IJBM... Why isn't Linkara more concerned about his close friend turning into his ArchEnemy and ''his life being in danger''? It's not RuleOfFunny, since there's no joke being made about it, so...?

** In Doug's commentary, he says he was afraid that the [[FanDumb fans]] would think the Jewish Guy was an asshole for not saying he believed in Santa Christ so he had his Guy Lynor character say it.

** Well, [[YouFailScienceForever he was holding the clipboard upside down.]]

** He could have walked up into Kickassia at any time and disarmed it. Kickassia is run by a collection of incompetent morons, most of which want to current government tossed out and like the Snob.

** One reviewer on [=RPG.net=] summarized it best: Doug is trying to encapsulate each reviewer's tone. Each character was a one-sentence synopsis of how they tackle reviews: Angry Joe is manic; MarzGurl alternates between excited and pissed-off; Cinema Snob can't believe he's putting up with this crap; Linkara thinks everything is stupid; Spoony is slowly losing his mind; Phelous is sarcastically suffering through it; Jew Wario is trying to keep positive and helpful; Film Brain is spastic; and Nostalgia Chick is far more talented than she's letting on.

*** Actually, in one episode of Spinebreakers (a podast that [=JewWario's=] a part of), he mentioned that Doug wanted him to keep the Yanki J. costume for continuity's sake. But then, [=JewWario=] said that Yanki J. as a character would not act scared in front of a train. [=JewWario=] however would. So it still kind of makes sense.

** His appearance in Psychonauts wasnt himself, but merely his psychic manifestation inside a dream or whatever. Bottom line- it was a dream. Kickassia on the other hand, was reality.

*** That makes it even funnier. Linkara and Critic live in the same time zome, and yet Spoony has the more accurate watch.

** I think he said that he disarmed it before he came in to confront The Critic, which would give him ample time to find the TNT and disarm it. Though if I am wrong, there isn't a feasable way he could have done it, as he was presumably banished right after the trial.

* The death of Santa Christ (and the ensuing ClapYourHandsIfYouBelieve) just felt like filler.
** It may be leading to a MyGodWhatHaveIDone or HeelRealization for the Critic. But I won't complain about it, since I've never really found Santa Christ funny to begin with.
*** Oh so very much seconded, throughout the whole scene I was hoping that they wouldn't fuck it up by reviving him. Anyway, they were obviously going for an OverlyLongGag, where [[DontExplainTheJoke all that effort to bring him back to life was entirely pointless]].

* Okay, [[Tropers/{{hazzaboner}} this troper]] is going to have to restart the whole SarahPalin thing bugging mess. It's not that her accent or impression is bad, necessarily. It's that the whole thing is ''ridiculously'' dated. Sarah Palin hasn't been a huge personality for about a year and a half, and the TinaFey impersonation is just that old. Consider that, if there had been such a parody at the last anniversary, it would have been ''six months'' out of date. The reference is dated and it's already been done to death, and it ruins the great character of the NostalgiaChick with a one joke character whose joke isn't even funny.
** Ridiculously dated? You mean the joke about the crazy woman driving around America in a giant bus with her name plastered across it and possibly running for president? Oh boy, I bet someone here feels rather silly for making such a claim, don't you think so OP?
** I believe Rob said it best in his commentary when he said "People who say Palin is an old joke, how do you figure? She inserts herself into the media every single day. You can't go on CNN.com without seeing her face." If 'it's a dated reference' is the reason this bugs you, your finger is officially off the pulse of society.
** I think it makes sense in context. The joke isn't that she's Sarah Palin, its that she's trying to seem harmlessly incompetent, and when she thinks of harmlessly incompetent, she thinks of Sarah Palin.
*** It becomes a lot funnier when it turns into the Chick trying to [[TheStarscream murder N. Bison so that she can become president]] (as a riff on how many people thought that Palin could become president due to [=McCain=]'s health problems).
**** It also reminded me of RedAlert 1. All that was missing was her saying "I made it myself".
*** This troper thought that a lot of it was making fun of Sarah Palin trying to pass herself off as so sweet and nice, and that a large part of the joke comes from who the Nostalgia Chick is - a tough as nails gal who is very much the opposite of the Palin image, all while it's clearly a PaperThinDisguise that no one sees through until the end.
** I don't think it's meant to be biting, up-to-date satire here, just a gag. Beyond that, whether or not it was funny is just a [[YourMileageMayVary question of taste]].
** How are Palin references dated? She has considerably more influence now than she did in the election, especially since Fox started openly championing her.
** It doesn't matter that a Palin impression isn't up to the minute; she's a defined character like Bush or Clinton or Blair who will remembered for some time. (I mean, ''{{Futurama}}'' is still making jokes about RichardNixon.) It would made just as much sense if she'd deposed the Critic and turned into MargaretThatcher. Actually, that would have been cool.
** Late as anything but about the "ruining the Chick" thing, first off - let's face it - these are comedy characters and even while they're pretty consistent in the long-run, none of them are exactly three-dimensional. {{Kickassia}} is considered canon and, if anything, it makes them a bit more fleshed out. And secondly, while Chick is obviously held together better than Critic, you can't go through her episodes and say she's not pretty cracked herself. (And I love crazy people, so there.)

As the above noted, she is still very much in the spotlight, with her own reality show, appearing on the cover of ''Time'' magazine, etc. And she is ''so incredibly easy to make fun of''. For the left to not snipe at her would be for the right to not snipe at Bill Clinton's inability to keep it in his pants, or at the late Ted Kennedy's lack of resemblance to a normal human being. And like the above two left-wing targets, as long as general media puts her in the spotlight, she'll be the right-wing spotlight focus who is the easiest and best target for mud. To say there's no reason behind it is to be a hypocrite given how much the right-wing blasts the left-wing's high-spotlight persons of less than total respectability.
