* LaResistance joining the fray as Link makes his way through Hyrule Castle is epic, right? A hawk snatches a burning arrow out of the air before it can hit Link, followed by explosions, and then the camera pans down to show who's responsible. It's fantastic. You've got Rusl in his armor with the hawk, Ashei in her armor with her rapier, Auru wielding a medieval bazooka, and Shad... with his book. Let that sink in. The guy ran to help with the fighting, no protective gear, ''carrying a book.'' We know from the ending montage that he survives unscathed, so he must be wearing some serious PlotArmor, but it's still really funny to imagine him taking down a baddie or two by smacking them with his giant Book of Sky Writing.

* The glitch where the game cheerfully tells you how much blue Rupees are worth every first after loading your save in the original release can, for some, end up as an OverusedRunningGag that manages to loop around to funny again.

** When the sages reveal that Midna is [[spoiler: the Twilight Princess]], Link has two funny expressions. First, his mouth just drops open in shock, and then he sharply turns to Midna with an expression that reads, "Why didn't you tell me?" Also, before the scene transitions to a flashback, Midna has a humorous ''disgusted'' expression, clearly not happy that her cover has been blown.

* Using your (strictly prohibited!) lantern in Barnes' shop. He wasn't kidding with those signs!

* One of the first things you can do in the game is go fishing with the rod that Colin made for you. There is a cat looking at fish in the river in Ordon Village. Catch a fish near said cat to gain its attention. Catch a second one and it'll run off with your fish. Link's expression says more than any words ''ever'' could.

* Any time Link talks to his {{Fangirl}}s after he won the STAR minigame. The amount of {{Squee}} is overwhelming.

** Also, in a similar vein, if you've reached the max number of rupees and get some from a treasure chest, it'll go through the jingle... and then Link puts it back.

* Unlike previous games, the staircases in Twilight Princess have each step collision mapped. People who are used to rolling up the stairs may find themselves instead bumping their head and falling back, though going down is still perfectly safe.

** Yet another, "Don't cast your lures at other people." The very fact that people have actually done this before, which is the only reason why it would be in the rules, is downright hilarious.

* Try sumo-wrestling Gor Coron without the Iron Boots. [[spoiler: He basically ''pimp-slaps'' you out of the ring.]]

* Sometimes the postman will come to deliver a letter while Link's in wolf form. He recognizes Link anyway, and doesn't bat an eye at Link turning human again to receive the letter. For added comedy, Midna still refuses to let you transform in front of him, even though he obviously doesn't care.

* Once you get the ability to transform between forms at will, approaching the Hero's Shade as a wolf in the overworld will prompt him to tell you to "take sword in hand and find me." It's the same thing he says at the end of howling duets and in the changed context is just a hint to assume human form, but it's easy to read as your exasperated grandpa telling you to take ''sword'' in ''hand'', swear to the gods...

** Barnes' reaction of throwing his hands up in disgust when Renado doesn't introduce him.

* In most ''Zelda'' games that have Cuccos, attacking them too much makes them attack you. Not so here: attack a Cucoo enough (in either form), and the screen will fade to black. When it comes back, ''you are the chicken'', albeit for a short while (This is not the case for the Golden Cucoo, or the Oocca.).

* If you talk to Jaggle a second time near the beginning of the game after he's pointed out the hawk grass to you, he says:

** After you defeat the Goron Elder in sumo-wrestling, talk to the Gorons. One speculates that ''they'' would've been sent flying! (Unlikely, but the mental image is amusing.) Another says something like "If I find out you cheated..." (Which you ''have'', but nothing comes of it.)

** It's also worth mentioning that this reaction causes them to drop actual hearts, which can restore Link's health. The fact that the only other time this happens is when Yeto re-affirms his love for Yeta after the [[spoiler:her boss fight]] makes it that much sweeter and more hilarious.

** Similarly, he can pick out a flower in another market stall, cueing the jingle... only to put it back, because no-one is manning the stall.

* Purlo's introduction. You enter a tent to find that it is completely dark. The camera pans sideways, and you see a silhouette. [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaMajorasMask A]] ''[[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaTheWindWaker familiar]]'' [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaTheMinishCap silhouette]]. It looks far too similar to a certain fairy-obsessed green-tights-wearing rupee mogul [[AmericansHateTingle that pretty much everyone outside of Japan hates]]. American and European fans every where all went "Oh no. Oh, don't tell me..." The music swells, the torches light... and it's just a normal man wearing a costume. A moment like that means that the dev team knew just how much foreign audiences weren't fond of Tingle, but still couldn't help but tease us all for a laugh. And it works!
