* There's a dating sim for girls on Website/DeviantArt that, depending on which character you end up with, is a cross between FridgeHorror and BodyHorror. The dating sim in question is called "Wonderland Days Sim Date" and [[CaptainObvious it's based on]] ''Literature/AliceInWonderland''. Three characters (the White Rabbit, Cheshire Cat, and the Caterpillar[who in this is a butterfly]) are turned into [[{{Bishonen}} Bishies]] who would make the UsefulNotes/FurryFandom drool, and are datable characters. While only one TimeSkip out of the three shows the playable character and the datable one (the White Rabbit) having children, it's mildly disturbing to realize that yes, you can have little hybrid children. The prospect of having children with the Caterpillar seems especially scary.

* With how easily accessible personal information is nowadays (Especially given that people willingly surrender it on sites like FaceBook and Twitter), how many stalkers do you think tracked down someone? Or are ''able'' to? The FridgeHorror also continues knowing that there was a car taking pictures of your house or your car. (And in some cases, ''you'' if you were in the right place at the right time) and now it's posted on the internet. Sweet dreams!

* Every dating site ever becomes FridgeHorror when you consider that, of all the couples that hook up and have a fulfilling relationship, thanks to the site, a certain percentage of them are going to become living hell for at least one partner involved. Some people (and their children!) will suffer years of emotional and physical trauma, and may possible end up murdered. Of course, this happens without dating sites, but dating sites have a certain aspect of NightmareFuel: because of the way that the users "Advertise" themselves, a potential abuser can "shop" for exactly what he wants in a victim, and since they're corresponding digitally at first, may be able to present themself more convincingly than if they and their partner were making first impression in real life.

The main character Ross finds out why:[[spoiler: A deadly combination of gene-seeking nanomachines (It's unknown whether having the nanobots' gene code kills or spares you) and an (frequently firing through the afterworld) EMP which causes the nanomachines to go explosively haywire in anything they infected]]. So what happened to the fetuses who had the "dead men genes", and the "dead men genes" mothers whose babies didn't?!

** Abusers don't necessarily "shop". They just find patterns that "work" for them, and consciously or unconsciously seek out those patterns in potential partners. Sometimes not even that. People are still much more likely to end up in an abuse relationship that started IRL, since it's still the preferred form of dating. Pleasant dreams!

* The Nostalgia Critic has a few. [[RapeAsComedy in Spooning With Spoony 2,]] he said "this is just like my prom night!" The implication is that he was date-raped, [[RapeIsOkayWhenItsFemaleOnMale likely by a woman.]] Next, there was a childhood drawing [[AbusiveParents with his parents in it.]] I think [[JerkassWoobie he needs a hug.]]
** And there's even more on his [[Fridge/TheNostalgiaCritic fridge]] page. The character is almost ''made'' of this trope.
* Do we even '''''want''''' to know what happened to [[TheSpoonyExperiment Spoony]] to make him who he is? To wit: he's a proud and accomplished rapist, requires medication to keep him from [[HairTriggerTemper flying into a murderous rage]] (or killing himself), and makes frequent remarks about drug addiction. Oh--and he apparently [[InterplayOfSexAndViolence needs to kill someone in order to get an erection]] (once in a video where he was shown to have committed at least one murder in the past). When you factor in his seriously [[SplitPersonality fractured psyche]], it doesn't exactly paint a rosy picture....
** In his "Death of a Soldier" review, Spoony admits to having strangled at least 7 prostitutes. At this point, ''he has officially beaten [[CompleteMonster Jack the Ripper's]] record.'' Screwed-up doesn't even '''''begin''''' to describe it.
* ''{{Kickassia}}'' provides us with a bit of this as well. When The Nostalgia Critic calls Little Miss Gamer during Part 1 to ask her to participate in the invasion of Molossia, she declines because she's stuck inside a game in her NES. Since Lindsay Briggs left TGWTG shortly thereafter, that brief segment marked the final appearance of her character; there was no farewell video, and no attempt to "write her off" of the site. Ostensibly, this means that Little Miss Gamer is still trapped inside the game--probably ''forever.''
** During the Santa Christ scene the Mother Brain can actually be seen exploding in the background, so it's possible that she fulfilled her mission and was able to leave.
** Or maybe she stayed and became their Queen.
* ''DeadFantasy'' music videos. They say if one should want to maintain their appetite for sausages, they must be careful as to not being present when they are being prepared. The music videos, too, apply: the gentleman responsible for these impressive animations are said to have employed the technique of mocap-ing himself in order to capture the delicate, acclaimed movements. The subtle hip movements near the beginning of "[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFrlFeK8guY Obsessed]]" may lose their savour once a viewer learns of this truth.
* ''SurvivalOfTheFittest'' [[TwentyMinutesWithJerks pre-game]] can fall into a mixture of this and FunnyAneurysmMoment from time to time. A lot of threads come off as ordinary high school RP fare... until you remember this is only setting up characterizations for the [[ThereCanBeOnlyOne actual storyline]]. As a result, sometimes pre-game threads can become particularly cringe-worthy as the game goes on, especially once you remember that the cute, likable character you've been reading gets [[BreakTheCutie broken]] and then [[KillTheCutie killed]], or alternatively, goes AxCrazy and ''then'' killed (bonus points if there is any {{Foreshadowing}}!).

* BenDrowned practically runs on this trope. The most obvious example would be that OhCrap moment when you realize that by watching the videos, you let him invade your computer. NiceJobBreakingItHero.

He probably suffers from some severe dementia, psychosis or posttraumatic stress disorder caused by "The Great War" he keeps referencing. Some people (and their children!) will suffer years of emotional and physical trauma, and may possible end up murdered. Of course, this happens without dating sites, but in this troper's mind, dating sites have a certain aspect of NightmareFuel: because of the way that the users "Advertise" themselves, a potential abuser can shop for exactly what he wants in a victim, and since they're corresponding digitally at first, may be able to present themself more convincingly than if they and their partner were making first impression in real life.

Oh--and he apparently [[InterplayOfSexAndViolence needing needs to kill people someone in order to get an erection]] (once in a video where he was shown to have committed at least one murder in the past). ** In his "Death of a Soldier" review, Spoony admits to having strangled at least 7 prostitutes. ''At this point, he has officially beaten [[CompleteMonster Jack the Ripper's]] record.'' Screwed-up doesn't even '''''begin''''' to describe it.

** And then there's giving "[[DealWithTheDevil everything]]" to [[{{Satan}} Sage]] in the Care Bears II review, which probably means he won't be having any fun after he dies. No matter how assy he can be, he's still a fundamentally good guy who doesn't deserve that.
** And there's even more on his [[Fridge/TheNostalgiaCritic fridge]] page. The character is almost ''made'' of this trope.
