* Ahh nice specialized animal to clean up... [[http://www.zapcomic.com/2004/08/20060123/ GLASS SHARDS!]] Is it also expected to also eat that peice of glass too?
* ''OriginalLife'' is a comic with FunnyAnimals, so there are a few breeds of dog hanging around, and one is a doberman. With sheared ears.

** Also, consider the [[SeriousBusiness Muffins Arc]]. Besides one brief mention of the teachers not being happy with a student practicing vigilantism on bullies, there's no signs of any adult authority. The arc ends with ''a full-blown student riot'', as a kid is attacked and his muffin stand is torn down. Apparently this is a school where teachers just ignore things like that.

*** Well...yes and no. Recessions, in general, don't actually impact the demand for alcohol. [[TheGreatDepression]] was no exception to this, as the biggest dip in alcohol consumption during the Prohibition was during the first two years it was enforced, and then it just went right back to where it was, if not, higher than where it was. As long as the Lackadaisy staff could keep the place open to that point, they would be fine after Black Tuesday. It would probably get worse when the Dust Bowl hit in 1933, due to that striking a major blow to the argiculture industry, which in turn, would hurt Lackadaisy, due to a lack of raw materials to make alcohol, therefore decreasing the supply. Seeing that they can barely get swill in 1927, that would be the final blow. Though, Marigold would probably have a hard time at that point too.

(All of this, of course, would depend on Lackadaisy still being in business by Black Tuesday. At the rate they're going, they'll probably shut down before the depression even starts.)

* Speaking of JayNaylor webcomics, we all know ''BetterDays'', the AuthorTract it quickly became, and the MartyStu main character, [[AuthorAvatar Fisk]]. We see him become a secret assassin working for what appears to be a secret society working within the government. He doesn't really even think over why he would want to join them, [[FridgeLogic which is weird]] since he is still haunted by war flashbacks. As the AlternateCharacterInterpretation on the BetterDays page points out, ''this might very well be Fisk finally losing his mind.'' Think about it: everything he has seen, experienced, and been exposed to at this point. The sex he had at age eight, the incest he had with his sister, the fickle women he was with during his life, all the death he saw during the war, all this has led to Fisk becoming an emotionless monster, a creature not wholly a man, no longer human... and the most terrifying part of this? The worst part? [[OhCrap Heh.]] Fisk has a family that OriginalLife implies he is partially distant from. Irresponsible father? Or a man no longer capable of feeling anything at all?

*** Well birth control ''does'' exist in the OOTS-verse. Eugene mentions using a "protection spell" for this purpose in one of the prequel books. Sure, Tarquin is evil and has no qualms about murdering his wives, but then he has to go out and find a new one. Might be he's pragmatic enough to use a less wasteful method of avoiding procreation.

* From TalesOfTheQuestor: [[MadScientist Rosad Athair Beither]], a Rac Cona Daimh scientist 300 years ago, while helping fight off the many dark creatures of the world, came up with a startling theory: that the supernatural creatures of the world all sprung from a single source, the Patronum Monstrum. He spent years proving that all you needed was sufficient knowledge and skill with biomancy and lux craft to create the various horrors of the world, and to do so, he did horrible, horrible things, experimenting on both animals and people, and the things that he created... sometimes escaped. When he was caught, the High Council kept him alive for a year so he could collect his notes and sort them for future study, before he was finally executed for his crimes. The most terrifying thing about all of this story, even more than the lengths that he went to try and prove his theory is simply this: [[FridgeHorror NO ONE HAS EVER SAID HE WAS WRONG.]] Not a single piece of evidence, in-universe or out, has led us to believe that this theory is wrong. There's even the Fae, a race of nigh-invulnerable, incredibly powerful beings stated to actually have been created in ancient times as a slave race for a long extinct people. If it's possible for even a group of beings as powerful as those to have been created by people possessing sufficient skill and knowledge, then it's not so far a jump to believe that someone, or something, somewhere, is out there pumping out all the horrors of the world, simply because he enjoys causing suffering and misfortune to others.
