Slided isn't a word. You're thinking of the word slid.

** Probably disproved as of Chapter 45. From the fact Kanae can teleport to a known person's location, it was suggested that Kanae unconsciously tracked down Kyon's {{Alternate Sel|f}}ves whenever she slided into a new world.

** The one truly inexplicable thing that needed coverup was Haruhi's blatant telekinesis; remember, it wasn't merely the van behaving impossibly, but her making obvious gestures and motions to control and then squash it. As Koizumi observes, there weren't obvious force lines or giant glowing manipulators, but without the "movie" excuse, at least some bystanders would have put things together. Once she committed everyone to a "movie" explanation to calm everyone present, they really did need to fill in the holes in that cover.

* Dealing with Haruhi's powers here. After she got the idea for the harem, she's put a lot of effort into making it work. Said power is locked down by Yuki and Kyon, requiring approval from both to make her will manifest. But Haruhi's power has slipped past the power limiter before; [[spoiler:Koziumi's esper tricks were unlocked in reality without approval from either Yuki or Kyon]].
