At the end of the episode, it's revealed that the buyer was just going to tear down the house anyway, so why did Pete have to get it painted in the first place, especially with a very specific shade of pink?

** And for a final one, a buyer would pay more for a fully-functional house than a wreck, even if they were just going to demolish it. Peg may have ben pulling her own devious plan and had the sense to keep Pete as far away from the inner workings as possible.
* In one episode, Pete builds his own RV and takes it to a convention. As he leaves the neighborhood, they have to repeatedly return to their houses because they forgot things. The last one is Pistol returning to their house to use the bathroom. So, Pete built an RV without a lavatory?
** The RV is for all an intent and purpose, a poorly made vehicle with bugs that are truthfully fatal. Pistol didn't want to take a chance that the toilet could send her to the moon.

** This is highlighted in "Inspector Goofy" as when Goofy inspects the rooms belonging to Peg, PJ and Pistol and declars them to be perfect but Pete is the sole exception. It would be RuleofFunny but Pete has shown he provides actually legitimate advises but didn't took them to heart while his family did which is why they succeed.

* Goofy's family explains many of the DeusExMachina in the show. Since two of his family members were scientists, they may have discovered or created the cleanest air in the world and gave Goofy one as a present. Also, his Great Uncle is military which meant that Goofy was taught some military training which in turn helped defeat the robbers in "Max-imum Protection" and "To Catch a Goof".
