* At some point in time, Goofy was married, and his wife either left him and their son or (from the one reference made to her) she died. And, if she died, given Goofy's habits of causing "domestic accidents", one must wonder how exactly she died.

I agree (and have said so on the discussion page) but please Repair Dont Respond
* PJ stands for "Pete Jr." However, in at least one episode we find out that Pete Sr's male ancestors for at least two generations back were also named Pete, which should technically make PJ "Pete IV." This one COULD theoretically be explained if the two generations prior to Pete Sr. had different middle names, nullifying the line, but its a bit of a stretch. ** Pete has been referred to as Mr. Pete, so it is likely that he was referring to his ancestors by their surnames rather than their given names.

* It seems pretty weird that Pete would consider making PJ use a handkerchief to be unreasonably controlling behavior in "Axed by Addition." After all, that's a fairly standard rule of politeness. However, in "Puppy Love", he says "sleeves are only for wiping your nose." So Pete doesn't believe in the rule himself. What he was actually showing remorse for was, much more reasonably, an act of hypocrisy.

Natter, and that's a different continuity anyway
** He actually did have a wife, albeit offscreen, in the WesternAnimation/ClassicDisneyShorts. His son in said shorts looked, and acted, so different that I thought that Max was the Goofs' second son and that, however Mom left the canon, she took Juniorthat was what the son was called in those shorts with her. The scenario I thought most likely: car crash going to/coming from one of Junior's activities Irony while Goofy and toddler/kindergarten!Max were at home. - Donald the Potholer

I hate it when links show blue when there's no page behind them...

PJ's name is explicitly stated to be Pete Jr. in at least both "Queasy Rider" and "Lethal Goofin'," so removing uncertainty. Fixing a typo. Also, put another less-Fridge Logic-y explanation on the discussion page.
* It seems to be implied that PJ stands for "Pete Jr." However, in at least one episode we find out that Pete Sr's male ancestors for at least two generations back were also named Pete, which should technically make PJ "Pete IV." This one COULD theoertically be explained if the two generations prior to Pete Sr. had different middle names, nullifying the line, but its a bit of a stretch.
