Creator/LiamNeeson is circling a deal to star. Creator/SethMacFarlane will executive produce.

* ImprobableInfantSurvival: PlayedForLaughs. In the opening shoot-out scene parodying ''Film/TheUntouchables'', multiple baby carriages coast down the stairs and fling several babies into the air. A guy behind Frank manages to catch all of them, then performs a touchdown victory dance and tries to spike one, but is interrupted by a woman screaming "Give me my baby!"

* HistoryMarchesOn: Mikhail Gorbachev is among America's enemies. Yet his role in causing the Soviet collapse soon gave him a HistoricalHeroUpgrade.

** Frank is swapping clothes with the knocked-out umpire. The janitor walks in and assumes something sexual (understandably so, since the umpire's ass is propped up on the table) and says, "Whoops. Sorry, fellas." [[SorryToInterrupt and backs out]].
** The "sexual assault with a concrete dildo" incident.

* MurderByProxy: Vincent Ludwig has a system that functions as MoreThanMindControl which will allow anyone to become an assassin under its influence, including trying to get Reggie Jackson to assassinate the Queen of England.

* SevenMinuteLull: [[spoiler:"[[ItMakesSenseInContext I haven't had this much sex since I was a Boy Scout leader!]]"]]

** Frank shoots at his own car when its brakes disengage due to some airbags that went off; he fires at the trunk, which explodes for some reason.

* CoolGun: in the opening, Frank wields a [=LaFrance=] [=M16K=], which was a relatively obscure conversion to the classic [=M16A1=] series of rifles from the Vietnam era, shortening them from a twenty inch barrel and a fixed stock to an eight-inch barrel with a collapsible stock. Because the carbine variants of the [=M16=] series typically require at least a ten inch barrel to mount the gas system, handguards, and front sight, the [=M16K=]’s gas system is reworked and the handguard cap is held on by the flash hider, with the front sight actually being welded into the carry handle on the upper receiver.

* EvenEvilHasStandards: When Tanya who is a nurse walks into a room of the Dillon's house [[EvilIsSexy wearing a bathing suit to flash her body to everyone there with]], Mrs. Dillon tells her "That's no way to walk around. Put some clothes on. [[BreadEggsMilkSquick And what are you doing in my bathing suit?]]"

* DepravedHomosexual: The big prisoner played by Randall "Tex" Cobb who tries to take advantage of Frank in the showers. PlayedForLaugh obviously like the resto of the movie.

* BrickJoke:
** "Hey, it's Enrico Palazzo!"
** The corpse in the meat factory reappears as a still-ringed finger found in the {{Big Bad}}'s hot dog.
** The villain of the second film is [[spoiler:taken out by the lion that had accidentally been released from the zoo earlier]].

* ButtMonkey: Enrico Palazzo is BoundAndGagged and impersonated by Frank, and then the TV captions display his name during Drevin's horrible interpretation of the national anthem, adding insult to injury.

** Also Nordburg at the very end of the film, when Frank's friendly backslap sends his wheelchair rolling down the steps of the stadium.

* OhCrap: When Frank accuses her of only having a romantic relationship with him because she was told to, Jane slaps him across the face... and then realizes she just slapped a police officer while surrounded by dozens of other cops. Fortunately, either knowing it was a heat-of-the-moment reflex, out of pity, or not wanting to make a bigger scene, Frank does not arrest her.

** As Frank's saying goodbye to Jane after she visits his apartment the first time, a wedge of cheese on top of Frank's fridge [[ItCameFromTheFridge suddenly starts moving]].

* FunnyBackgroundEvent: At the airport, when Frank addresses the crowd of reporters he's mistaken to be for him, a suitcase is seen being chucked from his plane, missing the baggage cart below and joining several others already on the ground.

* ''The Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear'' (1991) - Drebin meets the new man in Jane's life, who is involved in a kidnapping scheme.

** When Frank and Rocko escape from prison, they emerge outside an LA high school. Every student there promptly pulls out a gun and starts shooting at the pair.

* MoveAlongNothingToSeeHere: In front of an exploding fireworks factory.

* AccidentalHero: Frank has a habit of pulling this, especially in the second film: He responds to his award for "One Thousandth Drug Dealer Killed" by remarking that he [[DrivesLikeCrazy accidentally]] ran over the last two with his {{car|Fu}}. In a later scene, he unknowingly saves his colleagues from a crazed gunman. In the climax, he [[spoiler:defuses a bomb by tripping over and dislodging the plug]].
