* AlternateTimeline: The movie is set some time in June 1995, during game 7 of the 1995 Stanley Cup Finals between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Chicago Blackhawks. It was filmed before the 1994-95 NHL season even started, and the two teams that actually played during that season's championship round were the Detroit Red Wings and New Jersey Devils. The latter team won the championship and the series in only 4 games. Both Pittsburgh and Chicago made it to the playoffs that season, but were eliminated in the second and third rounds, respectively, Pittsburgh lost to the Devils while the Chicago lost to the Red Wings in five games.
