This is easily the best narrative LP I've ever read; the protagonist, Piotr Prokofiev, is a very well-written character who's far from a Marty Stu. The supporting characters are all expanded upon, given unique and interesting personalities, and the author has managed to actually bring Novistrana alive in a way that [[BetterThanCanon the game never could.]]

* ''Comments'': If there ever was a good novelization of a F.E.A.R. game, this is the one. The author describes the adventure of [[PlayerCharacter Sergeant Miller]] throughout the game's events, in all of its gory, disturbing glory. Some firefights are skimmed over and a few the author considered filler are completely scrapped, but the more notable confrontations are so vividly written they make up for the lost content. This doesn't apply to any paranormal events, some of which are even expanded to make more sense. Also, things that didn't make sense originally, like the incredible durability of the lightly-armored Nightcrawler Elites and the Sergeant's Slow-Mo function, are written out. All in all, a very nice read that should keep you busy for at least two hours.

* ''Comments'': A crossover between ''BattleTech'' and the works of TomClancy, this collaborative round robin-style work paints a compelling picture of how we might respond to this situation. Plus the nature of the work means it's harder to fall victim to DeadFic... One hopes. If you're game you may even want to add your two cents, but tread lightly, for the discussion threads show quite a bit of punishing the DanBrowned and ranting... [[FanFic/AnEntryWithABang Has it's own page]] now.

Cue complication after complication as she tries to return home, reclaim her humanity, and protect this new world from the other keepers, even as the people of the surface world try to hunt her down.
* Comments: Pusakuronu makes fairly impressive use of [[MagicAIsMagicA Magic A Is Magic A]], allowing Ami's intelligence to become an important edge...and one she [[ItGotWorse sorely needs]]. The update rate itself is pretty impressive, with a new chapter coming out every 3-4 days.

* ''Synopsis'': Parody of ''WingCommander IV: The Price of Freedom'', written with the idea of lightening up the ''[=WC4=]'' storyline.
* ''Comments'': Written from Blair's perspective, so some scenes that were in the original game were cut from the fanfic, like for example the opening scene with the attack on the medical transport. Most definitely have tissues or somesuch handy, you'll be laughing until you cry. The original was serially posted to the newsgroup alt.games.wing-commander over the course of the latter part of 1996, by the author.

* ''Comments'': Despite this troper being a strict Valeshipper, this fic is extremely well-written and makes the relationship reasonable and feasible.

* Synopsis: From the original summary: ''Natla of Atlantis is the mistress of genetic modification, as Lara discovers to her personal cost.''
* Comments: One of the older TombRaider fan fics around (it uses the Core-era characterizations of the characters, so anyone more familiar with the Crystal Dynamics-era characterizations will be in for a bit of a shock), it's one of the more surreal stories around. Lara gets genetically modified, has a (short-lived) relationship with her [[FoeYay archnemesis Natla]] and, well... it's one of those stories that must be read to be fully comprehended. I, for one, appreciated the unconventional take on Miss Croft's world. (The other stories in the ''Tomb In The Earth'' anthology are hit-or-miss and equally surreal as GM)

* Synopsis: Two years after the conclusion of ''Unwound Future'', [[spoiler:Clive]] is released from prison. Having nowhere else to go, he is invited to stay with Professor Layton, Luke, and Flora. Fighting his feelings is one thing, but what about fighting the gang's biggest threat yet? Who will survive the biggest challenge to stay still?
* Comments: This story (which is full of spoilers for ''Unwound Future'', of course) is the sequel to the author's one-shot piece "Almost, But Not Quite," which takes place during the events of the game. Although it's only a few chapters in, it has a very believable premise and the writing is quite good; the characters feel real and the narrator's attraction to Flora, which has lain dormant during his imprisonment, never feels forced or contrived. This is a fandom in which it can be difficult to find plausible, well-written fanfics, which makes this one stand out all the more.

* Comments: Complete Story. It's pretty amazing, seeing as there's almost no ''SpaceChannel5'' fanfiction. It has some pretty funny parts, and will keep you reading to the end.
