* ''Comments'': The whole thing is several times longer than the whole ''Literature/InheritanceCycle'', but don't let that put you off, because I enjoyed every minute of it. The author manages to take everything that was canon up through book 2, turn it on its head, and make the BigBad out to be TheHero and vice-versa while telling an engaging story. There's a lot of original characters, who are all well-realized and interesting. The series does tend to slant dark, and AnyoneCanDie, so be warned, but it can also be funny and genuinely touching just as often, and is definitely worth a read. Everyone is so in character, I keep having to remind myself that this ''isn't'' canon. Perfect grammar/spelling/punctuation, tons of fluff, and description so awesome I just can't- ''gaaaah I love this story.''

[[TheMadHatter something]], and is probably the best character in the story. Arya has been deconstructed to hell and back, and is made [[YourMileageMayVary even better for it]]. Roran is actually made quite enjoyable. Eragon is a bit darker than in canon, but I believe that the author may change that when she gets around to re-editing. And that's to say nothing of the Original Characters. Really, for someone who seems to specialize in mental instability, the background cast is incredibly sane, real, and solid. Like I mentioned, though, the beginning is a bit slow moving. It's definitely worth the read, though.

* Synopsis: Arya is captured by the Empire and it's up to Eragon to rescue her! At least, that's what he thinks. But this really isn't about Eragon, now, is it? No, of course it isn't. This is a story about Galbatorix's mentality, and Murtagh's problems, and their subordinates and staff, and all the somewhat normal people living in the kingdom- not to mention the [[DistressedDamsel princess]] [[SuspiciouslySpecificDenial who is most certainly not locked in a tower waiting for her knight in shining armor to save her]].

* Synopsis: Well, I'm not entirely sure how to describe this without giving to much of it away. A fairy tale story where all of the characters are insane, basically. Arya is a Princess trapped in a tower, while Murtagh is the Mad Kings feared right hand man who deals with the daily trials of running a war, going to political meeting, working with subordinates who hate him, and working for a man who's even more crazy than he himself is. Lots of character deconstruction, lots of lamp shading of basic cliche's that appear in the books. Be warned, however, that the story in rather slow moving and has many chapters that don't move the plot forward in the least. There are also a good number of beautifully crafted OCs.
