The sequel pics up a few years from where the first left off, exploring how the investigation into Redd White plays out with the events of the first fanfic.
* ''Comments'': Building off a number of odd canonical behaviors to create a fully fleshed out background and characters for Pheonix, this fic does what few can: it makes Pheonix whump that is realistic, heartfelt, and (mostly)consistent with cannon. The fic has really strong characterization for all involved. There is Gregory Edgeworth/Tyrell Badd, and pre-Wrightworth, but it's background to the main plot of both fics. Really strong writting and plotting all round- definately worth checking out if you've ever wondered why Pheonix never mentions his parents in the games, want to see how Gregory would raise his son, or a well executed ForWantOfANail fic.

Not only does it give the Phantom some vary interesting, and at times surprising, character development, it keeps all of the other cast members (especially Blackquill) in character. This fic also examines the relationship that both Blackquill and ''Foolbright'' had after working together so closely for over a year. If you're worried that the Phantom is going to be [[DracoInLeatherPants leather pantsed]] don't worry; while this fic does an excellent job of making him sympathetic at times, it also establishes that none of the other characters have forgotten [[MoralEventHorizon any of the terrible things he's done]]. If you're looking for a very different type of fanfic, then this one is for you.

* Comments: Phantoms and Mirages is an epic 5-part series focusing on Simon's investigation of the events of Turnabout for Tomorrow, that quickly expands into a vast network of mysteries and intrigue to explore. The series blends original conflicts with various callbacks to elements of the Ace Attorney universe in the style and flavor of a well-written saga. The exciting twists and meticulous attention to character depth really drives the core engagement of the series to its fullest. (Shipping warning for the eventual [[spoiler: Simon/Bobby]]). Each OC is well-integrated into the universe, and this series takes care to delve into the moral greys of each character while ensuring they receive a fitting conclusion by the end.

Currently dealing with the first murder case, the victim and defendant being [[spoiler:Ema Skye and Lana Skye respectively]], with Edgeworth as the Attorney, and Phoenix as the Prosecutor. Also has a case in a similar vein to DL-6, and the incident with the Forged Evidence from Apollo Justice, this case not being know to the reader or to Phoenix at this point, but resulting in the imprisonment of [[spoiler:Mia and a non-psychopathic Dahlia]]. The Author also keeps a Court Record on her Profile page with sketched images for certain aspects. Contains an OC Attorney who isn't gifted at the trade, but instead is known as the 'Evidence Spammer' for presenting Evidence purely to buy time to come up with a theory, and hasn't got a perfect record either.

* ''Synopsis'': Phoenix Wright, defense attorney extraordinaire finds himself waking up in a universe where he is not a defense attorney, but a prosecutor! Meanwhile the Phoenix who became a prosecutor now finds himself waking up in a universe where he's an attorney! Join these two Phoenix's on a quest to solve mysterious on different sides of the courtroom, and how will they return home!
* ''Comments'': Despite the similar premise to A Complete Turnabout above, this fanfic is actually vastly different. Phoenix’s circumstances are extremely different waking up in this new universe where he is a prosecutor now. On top of that, the Prosecutor Phoenix of the alternate universe wakes up in the Canon Phoenix’s universe. Prosecutor Phoenix himself is an immensely hilarious character yet still tragic. There are so many different twists constantly happening in this story and it’s still relatively new. I highly recommend it. There is planned ship teasing between Apollo/Athena, and interestingly enough, Phoenix/Mia. Also Larry Butz is dating Lotta Hart apparently. Romance is not at all a focus and usually just small ship teasing or mentioned in the background, but this fic certainly has a lot of unique pairings cropping up. For instance, in the alternate Prosecutor universe [[spoiler:DL-6 never happened, Misty Fey was never disgraced and Gregory Edgeworth ended up meeting her and they got married. Doug Swallow never dies and ended up dating Iris and they even got married and had a little daughter. And Maya Fey is dating Simon Blackquill!]] And that’s just the tip of the iceberg of all the changes in the alternate universe! Everything is so interesting and the characters are all very well written! I highly recommend this fic to any Ace Attorney fan! Also it has a couple of minor character OCs in here that honestly feel like actual characters you’d meet in the game.

* ''Comments'': Perfect characterization, heart wrenching storyline and little to no appearance of the dreaded IdiotBall, [[spoiler: except for the possibility of channeling Trucy only coming up in the last 10 chapters of the story, maybe,]] make this Fic one of the true gems of the Kink Meme and definitely worth a read. While it features Phoenix and Edgeworth as a pairing, it is too downplayed to count as a Shipping Fic and can be ignored if you are not particularly averted to the pairing. The focus is clearly on Phoenix' relationship with his adoptive daughter. A Hurt-Comfort Fic with a lot of Drama but also Fluff.

* ''Comments'': A really great fic that has had me laughing, crying and wanting to punch several characters in the face, then cheering when someone finally does. It shows a great relationship develop between Diego and Machi and really immerses you in their prison life. It's very well wrote and, even after a break of months from reading, I was able to get straight back into it. There are hints of a pairing - if you really squint - but mostly it shows a really great friendship between the two main characters, as they deal with whatever hell a jail sentence can throw at them.

* ''Synopsis'': Taking place during the Spring before the events of Devil's Attorney, and some time after Bridge to the Turnabout, Phoenix and Maya take the case of one Mike November, accused of murdering his Captain Janus Harvey on Harvey's Day of Absolution, his final day working as part of that unit. As of this writing, 5 chapters have been completed, and voiced and is said to be 1 chapter away from Conclusion.

* ''Synopsis'': Post Apollo Justice, spoilers for everything. Apollo is roped into defending Kristoph Gavin on a charge of murdering his cellmate...Diego Armando. Rated T for murder, violence and some strong language.
* ''Comments'': An amazing OriginalFlavour fic which reads like an actual case taking place after the events of Apollo Justice. It ties together characters from the Phoenix Wright generation as well as Apollo's cast of characters, showing a realistic take on the often hilarious interactions between them. The case is very well-written and logical, yet keeps readers guessing until TheReveal.

* ''Comments'': A heart-breaking AU, when after Engarde's trial, he decides that Phoenix hasn't been punished enough. It stars an ensemble of characters, and magnificently written. Some Franziska/Adrian, and Phoenix/Edgeworth, but they don't take over the storyline at all.

* ''Comments'': Yep, after some LevelGrinding [[TookALevelInBadass in Badass]] Iris became a prosecutor, plus Godot's back. Good thing is that author managed not to get overboard with Iris's character so while she's clearly tougher, OlderAndWiser than in canon she's still Iris(which is more than i can say about Phoenix in AJ). Another thing is that Author decided to go more in depth about after-effects of certain canon cases which games didn't really consider. The case itself is well done, starts simply and then SerialEscalation kicks in with quite a few good twists along the way. Not much bad things i can say, except maybe for ContinuityPorn that puts Bridge to Turnabout to shame, but it doesn't really get in the way. For shippers: Pairings involved are Phoenix/Iris and later [[spoiler: Apollo/Ema]] but both stay in background and don't get in the way of a story.

* ''Comments'': A fantastic story that reads just like a case from the games. Set post [=SoJ=] and brings in a bunch of the Invesigations crew and gives them their chance to shine, as well as tying into a case from all the way back in [=JfA=]. Phoenix is in rare form and it's a joy to read.

* Comments: A darker re-telling of Apollo Justice where the city of Los Angeles is just south of the Kurain Mountains, home of the [[FairFolk Winter Courte]]. This changes things...significantly. The broad shapes of the cases are left untouched however the tension is much much deeper when you know messing up could ebd with you having your soul stolen. The fey are a terrifying and ever present force, creating endless justified paranioa. This story also delves more deeply into the character dynamics that the series glosses over - special mention to the way it builds up Apollo and Phoenixs difficult interactions. It even successfully works in Apollos many backstories into a cohesive whole. It, and its sequal, are utterly fantastic. You are cheating yourself if you skip over it.

* ''Comments'': A fantastic story that reads just like a case from the games. Set before the Dark Age of Law, after Phoenix's disbarment and before Blackquil's arrest, this fic unites the Invesigations crew as a possible scenario of how Blackquil became under Edgeworth's protege.

* ''Comments'': Susato blows up at Herlock for hiding the fact that [[spoiler:Asougi is alive]]. The fic is well-written and portrays Susato's and Ryuunosuke's reactions to finsing out that Herlock his something so major from them.

It really captures Phoenix and Miles' relationship post-DD and how they understand each other, while also being a fun story about Miles showing Phoenix how much he means to him. Klavier is also trying to do the same for Apollo, who is trying to work on a case. Overall, this is a fun story that is in-character and builds up Phoenix and Miles' relationship, while emphasizing their past together.

* ''Pairings'' : Slow burn Wrightworth, quick burn Klavier/Apollo, past Kristoph/Phoenix, and Franziska/Maya
* ''Synopsis'' : Phoenix Wright is back in full swing and ready to take on the legal world once more. He has a family, as unconventional it might be, and his career is as stable as it is ever going to get. With the end of the Dark Age of the Law, maybe he'll get to have his much wanted normal life he'd been denied for so long. Of course, fate has other plans for the freshly reinstated attorney
* ''Comments'' : It feels odd to say that this is a shipping fic for those who don't like shipping fics, but whilst this is a beautifull rendition of romantic Wrightworth its an equally successfull plot driven character drama dealing with the fall out of Appolo Justice 1. In fact it's so good that it works as a perfectly believable sequal to that game. If you wanted to know more about Kristoph Gavin, his relationship to his brother and Phoenix, Edgeworths return to the states or the Lamoir plot be resoleved then this is the story for you.

* ''Comments'': Despite being a shipping fic, the vast majority of it is a character study in disbarred!Phoenix and how his situation effects him and the people around him, including Athena. The relationship between Athena and Phoenix is really well developed, and there are a couple of nice touches which really strengthen Athena's characterization in the games. Also the reason for Edgeworth and Phoenix not being honest with their feelings touches on some really genuine difficulties that can arise in these situations. It does use second person perspective to a *meh effect, but if you like your angst with a whole heaping of fluff, this is for you.

* ''Pairing'': Edgeworth/Kay. Gumshoe/Maggie later on.

* ''Comments'': Yo, if the second Miles Edgeworth game came to the States more people would ship Miles and Kay, but since we are not that lucky this fanfic proves to a great intro as to how their relationship can work. The characters are flawlessly in character, the romance is in no way cheesy, the way an older and more mature Kay interacts with Edgeworth is fantastic, and the twists and turns keep ya trying to guess what happens next. The only flaw I can say about this fic is that there is something gets set up early on, but never gets a proper conclusion and the swearing some of the characters do has pulled me from the experience a bit (but thats only me)- thats hardly a fault when you got some of the best chemistry Ive read in a Edgeworth fanfic. Especially when [[spoiler: Edgeworth takes some cases in New York after he learns Kay has been seriously injured. He doesn't really know how to handle the stress of knowing she's in a coma and leaves to avoid the whole situation. Much to his dismay, it doesn't work.]]

* ''Comments'': DON'T LET THE PAIRING TURN YOU OFF. This story is truly amazing. The author somehow made the unusual pairing work. This is honestly one of the best fanfics I've ever read. The pacing of the romance is realistic, and the plot will keep you on the edge of your seat. It really sucks that it didn't get many reviews because had this pairing been more popular, this would've been one of the highest reviewed fics. I don't even like the pairing, and I still think it is one of the best fanfics in Ace Attorney. Like I said, they just made it work. Sadly, the story has been abandoned, but it's a great fic, nonetheless. You should definitely give it a chance, even if you don't care for the pairing. Also, consider PM-ing the author to continue. It's unlikely, but she might decide to continue the story if she gets enough e-mails asking her to continue (assuming she still uses the same e-mail). EDIT: She's updated it!!! READ THE STORY. It is friggin' amazing. Words cannot describe its awesomeness.

* ''Comments'': A lovely fic that manages to keep both leads in character while also fleshing them out and providing an interesting reason for Ema's dislike of Klavier. The relationship of the pair also develops from dislike/indifference to friendship to romance rather than starting out with Ema harboring a secret crush for Klavier(as many fics of this couple do). Furthermore the fic is also intertwined brilliantly with both the timeline and plot of the Apollo Justice game, so much so that any fan will be able to appreciate the thought, creativity and writing skills of the author. A definite recommendation for any fan of this pairing.

* ''Comments'': While most fics that attempt to pair these two tend to throw at least one of these people out of character, this fic in particular is very well done. Every character featured in here remains wonderfully in character, so much so that everything here could be lifted out of the game itself. Also, for fans of the series in general, practically every important makes an appearance, and there are more continuity nods than you can shake a stick at, such as the remains of Ema's schoolgirl crush of Edgeworth, Kurain village, and so much more. Definitely a good read.

* ''Comments'': An extraordinarily excellent, complex, and for some reason much overlooked fanfiction, using usually looked-down-upon concepts like songfic and original characters and making them ''work.'' Chapters are in AnachronicOrder since they are "memories", each one titled with a song to go along with it and lyrics inserted in the text only where they are appropriate. Places the Ace Attorney world in a very real-world perspective and talks about things like the unfair court system and hangings for execution in detail. But besides the considerable work and research that went into it, this fanfic is deeply emotional and [[SugarWiki/FunnyMoments laugh-out-loud hilarious]] moments are just as numerous as the [[SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments adorably heartwarming]] and the [[TearJerker unbearably tragic]]. Although the chapters are quite lengthy, the writing is intriguing enough that it's never a problem. This story follows the Ace Attorney storyline up until the end of ''Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney'' and mostly delves into the private lives of the characters and events behind closed doors in the storyline. Though it is quite long, ''Piano Man'' is an excellent investment even for those who usually would not read fanfiction and must be experienced to fully grasp. May or may not be complete. Also has some fun {{Shout Out}}s.
** Seconded. This story is absolutely sublime - going from a unique and interesting future!fic, to believably filling in what happened with the all characters missing from ''Apollo Justice''. The pairings are all written wonderfully, and it's all highly believable. This troper laughed, cried and cheered through the whole thing and would definitely read it over and over again.

* ''Synopsis'': If he stopped and thought about what he was about to do in that moment then he'd straight up punch himself. But he ignored whatever sensible voice that usually was in control to the back of his mind...he wanted revenge. Justicykes oneshot fluff

* ''Comments'': This is the aftermath of AJ case 4. It's very detailed in the lives of the characters after Kristoph's second conviction. This story goes in the mind of the two criminals that have been accused of murder in cases 3 and 4 and what their motive is for getting out. The story mainly focuses on Klavier and slowly starts focusing on Apollo once he gets closer to opening the other's heart (who closed it off after Kristoph's trial.) The story will shift to Phoenix every now and then and his life after he regains his attorney badge and his relationship with Trucy. The OC characters are very realistic, fitting to the point where they can survive in the Ace Attorney world where they won't be accused of being a Gary sue. Also, I like how the character development is flushed out and how those close to Kristoph are deeply affected particularly Apollo who is a [[CharacterizationMarchesOn completely]] [[{{Tsundere}} different]] [[{{Wangst}} person]] for [[ItsNotYouItsMe justified reasons]]. [[SugarWiki/FunnyMoments You'll laugh]], [[{{Tearjerker}} you'll cry]], you'll want to bang your head against the wall for the [[WhatanIdiot characters]] [[TooDumbtoLive stupid]] [[DistressBall decisions]], and you'll be cheering for [[SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome your favorite characters]] doing the unthinkable...[[KillitWithFire especially Apollo.]] This tale is about love and betrayal and what lengths you'll go to save the person you love...as well as the external lengths one would go to keep the thing they love the most whether it's family, fame or fortune. It starts out slow, but picks up very fast. You'll be surprised at the ending.

** Seconded: I don't like secondary characters pairings but i know that Adrian [[spoiler: goes to live with Franziska in Germany after the second game and,[[HoYay for some reason]], [[WhipItGood Fran teaches Adrian how to use a whip]]]], so i gave this a chance. Just some chapters and i couldn't stop reading! Gumshoe and the others are, indeed, amusingly in character while the OCs are great and fit well. I think this is an unique relationship since, because of [[spoiler: Adrian's sickness]] and Franziska's guilt, both don't know if it's love or not. I suggest to give it a try even if you don't like the pairing, it takes some time but the fluff is more than worth. It's finally finished too!

* ''Comments'': An absolutely lovely fic, my favorite Maya/Phoenix fic. It really digs deep into their relationship and the Fey family past. You see Edgeworth and Kay, Iris and Pearl, and even a few original characters. Not only Maya, but it also tunnels into the relationship between Mia and Diego, starting with how they first met, and why Diego calls her "kitten". The romance is really sweet and contains lots of fluff, and the suspense and mystery tie in with it together perfectly. But the amazing part is that it's all possible, tying in with the Apollo Justice world as well. I highly recommend this fic for anyone looking for some Maya/Phoenix in their day.

It manages to balance the focus between a well thought out murder storyline (and the hoops Phoenix is forced to jump through to make his case) with the ever-increasing strain it puts on Phoenix and Edgeworth's growing relationship. Be warned that it ends on a somewhat [[BittersweetEnding bittersweet]] note.

* Comments: A super sweet story about two very different developing relationships. It's truly remarkable, and is complete with a happy ending. There's a few smutty parts, but you can skip them, and not miss anything important to the storyline. A must-read.

* Comments: What was supposed to be a kink request for Matt and Juan turned into an extraordinarily, well-written fic that turns everything you know about 2-4 upside down. We are taken through the remaining years of Juan Corrida as we follow him through his career, his short-lived romance with Celeste Inpax, and the strange and twisted relationship he has with his rival, Matt Engarde. All before he meets his tragic end at the beginning of Justice for All's final case. Certain twists in the story means you may not look at that case the same again. Among them the unspoken reasoning for Engarde's sociopathy, a possible new twist in Celeste's death. And most of all it takes 2-4's victim, an implied jerkass not much better than the actual villain, and turns him into one of the biggest tragic heroes this side of Godot. This is his story, and by God will it leave you begging for an alternate outcome.

This is the story of those cons and the influence they had on Simon during his transformation into the Twisted Samurai. Along the way Simon will pick up friends and enemies and a bad decision lover, get caught up in a gang war, pursue the phantom, and bond with his fine-feathered friend.

''Everyone'' gets their chance to shine here, but Apollo stands out for his commitment to doing everything he can to help his (unbeknownst to him) little sister. Hilarious and heartfelt, this fic was an absolute delight and this troper plans on rereading it a lot in the future.
