* TheAce: A great emphasis is placed on just how powerful Nova Shine is with magic. Twilight even makes a direct comparison to Starlight Glimmer to get the point across to Gleam. Star Swirl believes that Nova Shine can work wonders when he has even a modicum of self-belief. Sombra expresses disappointment that Nova fails to live up in a two-versus-one battle, but admits he underestimated Nova in a battle on even footing after Nova trounces Envy. Ironically, the only one who doesn't think Nova Shine is this powerful is [[HeroicSelfDeprecation Nova Shine himself.]]

The only problem is, it takes more than sheer power to ascend, and Nova flatly does not want to.
