* BileFascination: The absurdity of the the story, as well as the debate on whether the story is an intentional TrollFic or genuinely written by a 7th grader, has gained this fanfic some attention from readers who wish to know how far the fanfic goes.
* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: Eggman somehow tricks Sonic, Tails, and Amy (though seemingly no-one else in the school) into believing that prom is on Ghost Island. The resulting scene features numerous elements that appear nowhere else in the story, including spooky landscapes, the undead, safe cracking and most notably Eggman. The events have no impact on the rest of the plot and outside a mention at the start of the next chapter, are never brought up again.
* CrossesTheLineTwice: ...And then it crosses the line until the line doesn't even have a purpose for existing anymore. Every chapter is crazier than the last, until the final chapter, chapter 25, finally just goes all-out crazy in every single direction.
* CanonDefilement: It's a HighSchoolAU, so expect a lot of canon defilement. All the Sonic characters, no matter what their canonical background is, all live in the same high-class suburban community, and we also have the characters eating Chao meat sandwiches in one scene, despite the fact that Chao are supposed to be sacred in the official canon. You then have Tails being an elitist asshole to people who ask questions he knows the answer to, and then there's the fact that all the characters are wearing clothes.
* DesignatedHero: So long as one counts his emo phase, Sonic is easily the fourth least sympathetic character in the story, behind only the two unambiguous villains and Shadow who commits rape and several murders.
* EnsembleDarkHorse: The lunch lady is a big hit among readers, mainly for her rescue efforts during the school fire.
* {{Narm}}: Almost continuous from beginning to end.
* NarmCharm: Most of the story qualifies for many readers, but the peaks are the extremely elaborate similes and the sex scenes.
* SoBadItsGood: This is a fic where nearly every character is warped into an asshole, and it contains more than its fair share of typos, nonsensical plots, sex scenes, ToiletHumor, racism, and homophobia. However, the story also contains hilariously weird metaphors and similes like "[Tail's] face turned into a salad of anger, the devil, and lava." Meanwhile, the sex scenes are completely inept, including [[AnatomicallyImpossibleSex wildly inaccurate anatomy]] and "professional moves" that would be very strange or uncomfortable to try. The overall absurdity of the story makes for a laughable read.

''SONIC HIGH SCHOOL'' is a ''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog'' HighSchoolAU CrackFic[=/=]TrollFic created by fanfiction author [=DarkDoomFireMaster=]. The fanfic parodies stereotypical HighSchoolAU fanfics, with its usage of bad grammar, horrible wording, and lack of logic. 

The fanfic centers on Sonic going through high school, and for the year there, there is a lot of stuff going down, including scenarios such as Sonic getting diagnosed with a fatal disease, a classmate getting murdered, and a bomb accidentally going off in the auditorium.

* TheHeroDies. [[spoiler: Sonic commits suicide upon realizing that he punched all Amy's teeth out while intoxicated. He doesn’t stay dead though, thanks to the magic of the chaos emeralds.]]

* ArtisticLicenceExplosives: A bomb is used as a play prop. When something unspecified falls on it, it explodes.

* VoodooShark: The Body Donation, where "someone reaches a moment of such powerful love that they can choose to restart their lives as part of the person they love" is the explanation for [[spoiler: Knuckles becoming a baby]].

* WritersCannotDoMath:
** Rouge’s pregnancy is a severe case of either this or Artistic License: Biology, as her baby bump goes from unnoticeable to large in a single day, and [[spoiler: the baby’s born the next]]. Even the smallest bats’ gestation lasts weeks.
** Amy and Rouge get detention one day, and the next “had been in detention for days now.” As “they had not eaten or drinken at all” “they looked really skinny and hungry. It made their boobs look bigger but they also looked steps from death.”
