* AcrophobicBird: Although she's very good at running, Sophie the Skarmory is incapable of flying, even though her species is normally capable of such a feat. It's speculated that her lack of flight may have come from being raised from a non-Flying Type Pokemon and that she could learn to fly given enough time, but she's killed before she is able to be teached.

** Somewhat. Generally it seems that the more power a person or Pokémon has, the more they abuse it. Case in point being [[spoiler:the Sinnoh Elite Four member Aaron]].

* DarkerAndEdgier: Pretty much the basis of the story. Most Pokemon are depicted as bloodthirsty, a lot of people and Pokemondie, and The Soldier goes through a lot of horror beyond the scope of the Franchise, including being raped and almost killed by two Gardevoir, in his attempts to save the world.

* NoNameGiven: To the point that even the supporting characters don't use a proper vocative. The most we've seen the main character being called is Soldier, as a joke.
** Averted at the end. It's [[spoiler:revealed in Chapter 58]].

From information given, it\'s a prequel

It now has a crossover by a different author with the mindnumbingly popular FanFic/{{Pedestal}} being written, found [[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7436255/1/Memento here]] (though it has since been discontinued), as well as a direct 'sequel' (it may not take place after the events of Regret) written by the same author, located [[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7599030/1/Transgression here]].

* DeathIsASlapOnTheWrist: Chillingly deconstructed. [[spoiler:There exists a spring that, if a Celebi's corpse is placed within it, it will be brought back to life. The amount of time this takes is equivalent to how long the Celebi had lived... the first time. The second time, it takes half of its total lifespan. The third time, it takes half of ''that''. One of them even says that after enough deaths, it only takes a few minutes for them to come back. The downside to this is that while they're recovering, their spirit is still aware, having fun in the Afterlife. When they come back, they're not allowed to go back until they die again, which means every time they die, they spend less and less time at peace. Eventually, they decided to start killing their newborns, [[CruelMercy since that would save them the tragedy later on.]]]]

* AxCrazy: Lacey. She starts off by [[spoiler:trying to murder the main character]], kills random Pokémon whilst still with her trainer or goes off on her own to do so, and as of the latest chapter, [[spoiler: massacred most of her former clan]]. Scar also seems to be getting this way when battling, and Erra, since Fallarbor (justified in that she was affected by some sort of toxin that keeps her in a sort of adrenalin overdrive).

Apocalypse Fic has been cut. Wasn\'t really sure how to reword that, sorry.

A DarkerAndEdgier Pokemon experience that starts off as an ApocalypseFic. The main character gets wound back in time 80 years to stop the BadFuture from occurring, with little more than a few vague pointers as to what he needs to do. Pokemon are depicted as dangerous, intelligent creatures, with people dying from ComMons such as Wurmple being a common occurrence. In fact, the author goes out of his way to create a vibrant, realistic world with little political, economic and day-by-day quirks that makes the world seem incredibly realistic and likely.

Removed outdated info. Added new info. Fixed bad tropes (e.g. no one in the actual piece of work calls him \'\'The Soldier\", and Scar wasn\'t a Morality Chain, (because Xander is more prominent in this aspect and repeated tropes are not helpful), and stuff like removing the tropes which just had \'Averted\' on them and no other real explanation.
