* TentacleRope: A variation of this trope involves dark vines summoned by [[Film/TheCrow Eric Draven]], which tie up [[Franchise/KingdomHearts Sora]], [[WesternAnimation/DonaldDuck Donald]], WesternAnimation/{{Goofy}}, and [[Anime/CowboyBebop Ein]] to corrupt them, though the Unknown Thief ([[spoiler:Nora Valkyrie]]) rescues them in time.

* NamesTheSame:
** In Japanese, there is [[WesternAnimation/BeautyAndTheBeast Belle]], and [[VideoGame/PokemonBlackAndWhite Bel]]. The second is named Bianca in English.
** When Artix and Black Jack tell Ruby that she is to meet someone named Tron, she assumes that they're talking about Tron Bonne. Makes sense, knowing Ruby's love of weapons.

* [[IllGirl Ill Boys]]: Both Sora and Riku become ill following the Slamwitch's rampage, with the former suffering from headaches and dizziness and the latter constantly vomiting (due to swallowing the gunge from the beast).

* RantInducingSlight: For Ratchet, it is seeing innocent Swablu be corrupted into mindless servants of the proxy.

* AdultFear:
** Imagine that you're off on your daily routine and then some twisted monster appears and corrupts innocent people into becoming his "proxy". Imagine how Tsukasa Kadoya, Eric Draven, Yugi (and Yami Yugi), and Jeff Hardy felt when they are freed in the next tale and realize what they were forced to do while being controlled. And how would they feel if their reputations are stained because of what they did while under said corruption. They were victims too, you know.
*** Imagine if one of your loved ones has become a crazy psychopath and you are helpless to do anything about it: you are now experiencing Matt Hardy's reaction to seeing his brother turned and that affects him in [[Fanfic/TheFriendshipAsylum future]] [[Fanfic/AtYearsEnd tales]] and he comes off worse off for it.
** Said twisted monster orders the kidnappings of young girls all over the pantheon so that he can find the Princesses of Heart and use them for his own evil actions. The fear that your daughter/sister/aunt/cousin/girlfriend could be one of these chosen ones is a major plot point in the pantheon. Said fear that the girl herself may think of herself as one is part of the reason why [[spoiler:Sora erased Edward's memories to prevent her from having a HeroicBSOD]].
** Your friends develop a serve case of food poisoning that sends them both to hospital. The one with cholera is kidnapped in a state of weakness, and expected to vomit at any moment. One can imagine the horror that Donald and Goofy would have if they saw the proxy's gloating video, which shows a critically ill Sora bound and gagged.

* IAteWhat:
** Defied with Goofy, who almost eats some of the stolen (and expired) food in Act Three before his friends grab him and burn the food.
** Played straight with Scooby and Shaggy in Act Two, when they discover it, much to [[WesternAnimation/AliceInWonderland Alice's]] disgust.
** Around the same time, Riku accidentally swallows the gunge while inside the Slamwitch. He develops salmonellosis as a result.
** Averted with several Alolan Muk, who are allowed to consume the expired food when Kyoko starts retrieving it.

* EverythingsBetterWithMonkeys: Inverted. The robot monkey that Edward and Ein encounter is EvilAllAlong.

* CoveredInGunge: Riku and Sora are both left as this after being eaten, and then vomited out, by the Slamwitch. [[RealityEnsues Both become ill from the contact]].

* RealityEnsues: Riku comes down with a serve case of food poisoning after he accidently swallowed some contents from inside the Slamwitch. And inhaling toxic fumes wasn't good for Sora's health, either; over a 24-hour period, he goes from mild-headaches and occasional vomiting, to an intense fever, a weak pulse, and a stomach that's about to burst.
** It's not a good idea to gag someone who is ill, as if they vomit, it'll choke the poor victim to death because their mouth is blocked. Gears keeps Sora like this after learning of his illness in a big KickTheDog moment.
** All of the Princesses of Heart react to them being targets in complete terror, with Cinderella even barricading herself in her temple, and Kairi [[spoiler:disguising herself as Nora Valkyrie]]. It is made very clear that [[VideoGame/KingdomHeartsI the first gathering]] caused them all to develop post-traumatic stress disorder.

* {{Squick}}: The Slamwitch ''eats'' Sora and Riku during it's rampage (like it did to the [=KND=] in [[WesternAnimation/CodenameKidsNextDoor it's franchise]]), and then vomits them out! Chapter 12 reveals that they both became ill as a result.

* FlashbackSequence: [[spoiler:When Tron is corrupted, a helpless Ruby is also forced to relive Penny's death through terrifying flashbacks]].
