* ShipTease: Izuku and Ochako share a lot from the moment they meet. Ochako immediately develops a crush on him upon their first meeting, and when he's exposed, she seeks him out only so she could talk him out of his goals. Izuku, in turn, has a clear soft spot for her, and deliberately avoids harming her when they finally face off in battle, privately admitting to himself that the thought of hurting her leaves a bad taste in his mouth. He even goes as far as to heal a head injury she suffered ''while still fighting her and her friends''. Compare this to Himiko, his other potential "love interest", who he barely tolerates, only doing so because of how useful she is.

** Nezu's in particularly is poignant, because he never directly calls All Might out. Instead, he points out that all of Izuku's accomplishments and brilliance, including the creation of the Infinity Gauntlet, outright prove that All Might was wrong and that Izuku would've made a wonderful hero. Considering Nezu's own Quirk only boosts his intelligence, you get the feeling that he was identifying with Izuku on some level.
** Sir Nighteye gives a minor one. He's offended that All Might would think that their prior disagreements equaled him wanting All Might dead and gone. He also questions as to why he was left out of the efforts against Midoriya, citing that his CombatClairvoyance would have been a very useful asset.

* DoomedMoralVictor: All Might clearly regrets his well meaning but ill-timed advice to Midoriya, and sympathizes with him upon hearing his MotiveRant. The guilt he feels, however, costs him and society greatly, as it prevents him from fully going all out against the boy, (Seeing him as a boy who desperately needs help and not a true villain,) in their battles they’ve had currently. Midoriya even lampshades that had All Might done so, he and the other heroes could have stopped him easily even before his power became exponentially greater.

These examples of Surprisingly Realistic Outcome seem to violate at least one of these rules, which disqualifies them: No character reactions (characters get angry, don't forgive, don't change their personality instantly, etc.); Too fantastical (depends on the properties of magic, powers, sci-fi tech, monsters, etc.); Not surprising (a character was warned about the outcome, it's used to provide Karma or An Aesop, or it simply follows normal conventions for this genre or medium); Plot happens (the example only describes an event, but not why audiences would expect a different, unrealistic outcome); Not an outcome (a character just explains why something wouldn't work as expected); More of a Deconstruction (the event has major, lasting effects on the plot, make something more realistic, but not completely realistic, or a parody/fanwork applies realistic consequences to the events of a different work); or fits better under a different trope. See the trope'

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome:
** Being fifteen, the government and the heroes are reluctant to take Izuku seriously, even after he proves himself to be a threat comparable to All for One. One reviewer points out that the heroes could easily neutralize Izuku by cutting off the arm that has the gauntlet on it; the author, however, retorts that no decent person, let alone hero, would want to mutilate a minor, no matter how dangerous he is.
** After Izuku exposes Katsuki's past as a bully (specifically, ''his'' bully) to Class 1-A, absolutely ''none'' of them want anything to do with him anymore, including Kirishima. Many of them hold him responsible for Izuku's descent into villainy, while those who want to give him the benefit of the doubt are scared of doing so because they suspect he'll be violent with them for disapproving of his past actions.

* XanatosGambit: It would have been a simple revenge story if Izuku Midoriya finally gains power to kill All Might. But nope, the villain has a grander plan.
** Exposing All Might to the world of his quirkless nature, invoking outrage among the quirkless and non-pratical quirk users.
** Then using his connections with the League of Villains and various criminal groups to direct their attacks onto the heroes and key targets, including a Pro-Hero rally that was meant to restore the public faith on All Might.
** With the villains now more active, Izuku secretly takes them out while the people who witness these events are made to believe that random citizens are standing up to defend themselves.
** Izuku frames Cementoss by using his powers to scare a mob of protestors away, damaging U.A.'s reputation.
** Capturing the Prime Minister and the President of the Hero Public Safety commision, exposing the latter's cover-ups to the former, planting doubt on their reliance on All Might's strength and taking over the Titan robots they wanted to use. The Prime Minister quickly gives in to Izuku's demands and make him a government official.
** Finally, Izuku manipulates Endeavor to attack him, allowing the Titans to intervene and defeat him. Izuku robs Endeavor's quirk, showing the world that any hero were to try and stop him will be labeled as a criminal and the punishments will be severe.

** All Might, in one last attempt to steer the boy away from villainy, questions Izuku if his current actions, particularly robbing people of their Quirks are truly just. Izuku throws one right back at All Might, inquiring to the hero if he approves Endeavor's horrible abuse towards his family and All Might's deception to the world. While All Might tries to justify his own actions, he didn't defend Endeavor's; Even All Might thinks what Endeavor did is wrong and deserves punishment, just probably not the whole quirk-stealing thing.

Added DiffLines:

* NotSoDifferentRemark:
** Aizawa makes a mocking statement that All Might is similar to All For One; both deciding whose weak and strong to pass on their quirks to. All Might is not pleased to hear this.
** All Might tries to convince Midoriya that he understands his actions, having been quirkless himself. He's immediately shut up by Midoriya who counters that if that were true, then All Might would not have denied him, a quirkless boy, to take up being a hero.
