** Jason Todd isn't usually depicted with red hair, but he has it on Earth-27 as a call-back to his pre-Crisis days.
** Dick Grayson and Cassandra Cain have brown hair instead of black to add more variety to the coloring.
** Similarly, Earth-27 Ronnie Raymond went from auburn to black to go with his [[RaceLift new interpretation as a Native American]].
** Artemis's Blonde Hair is also noticeable dyed with her roots showing her natural color.
** Chloe Sullivan has brunette hair rather than blonde hair as WordOfGod has stated he wants Chloe separated from her ''Series/{{Smallville}}'' actress Allison Mack in the light of her sex cult controversy.

These examples of Surprisingly Realistic Outcome seem to violate at least one of these rules, which disqualifies them: No character reactions (characters get angry, don't forgive, don't change their personality instantly, etc.); Too fantastical (depends on the properties of magic, powers, sci-fi tech, monsters, etc.); Not surprising (a character was warned about the outcome, it's used to provide Karma or An Aesop, or it simply follows normal conventions for this genre or medium); Plot happens (the example only describes an event, but not why audiences would expect a different, unrealistic outcome); Not an outcome (a character just explains why something wouldn't work as expected); More of a Deconstruction (the event has major, lasting effects on the plot, make something more realistic, but not completely realistic, or a parody/fanwork applies realistic consequences to the events of a different work); or fits better under a different trope. See the trope's definition for more details. If you believe a removal was a mistake, please bring it up in the cleanup thread.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome:
** A conversation between Niteowl II and Silk Spectre II mention a sadomasochist who enjoyed getting beaten up by Superheroes, so he'd dress up like a villain and pretend to commit crimes. Unfortunately, the heroes all know each other and gossip about their jobs, so soon enough they all know about him and just do their best to ignore him. He finally makes the mistake of trying this on [[SociopathicHero Rorschach]], who simply shoves him down an elevator shaft.
** Doctor Manhattan takes Laurie to The Moon. She nearly dies of asphyxiation before he remembers that ''humans need to breathe''.
** The issue after the one with the above example makes clear that, genius or not, you ''cannot'' kill a near-omnipotent being who can walk across the surface of the sun, and literally rebuilt himself after being disintegrated. You can turn the public against him by framing him for spreading cancer, or catch him off-guard by developing a way to block his foresight powers, but you're just as much a threat to his life as a termite would be.

* KryptoniteFactor: Each version of kryptonite has a different effect on kryptonians:
** Green kryptonite immediately weakens their powers by sapping stored solar energy from the body. Prolonged exposure is fatal. It has no effect on half kryptonians during their childhood, but as they get older and reach adulthood it becomes increasingly toxic until it has the same effect on them as it does on full kryptonians. It has no effect on Bizarro or Doomsday, and it's known to trigger the meta gene in humans in certain circumstances.
** Red kryptonite, in both kryptonians and half kryptonians, immediately causes the loss of one's inhibitions. Prolonged exposure can cause compulsion to act out desires, with no regard for consequences. It temporarily enables the use of powers in younger half kryptonians that they haven't gotten yet. In Bizarro, it causes paranoia and more erratic behavior. As for humans, it's known to stimulate the metagene, granting them temporary powers when integrated into the body in some form, but once the red kryptonite is removed the powers still need to be reactivated in the normal way.
** Blue kryptonite not only depowers kryptonians and half kryptonians, but it also causes a euphoric sense of elation and the effect is known to stick around for a while after prolonged exposure, requiring significant solar recharge. As for Bizzarro; it has the same effect on him as green kryptonite has on normal kryptonians.
** Gold kryptonite heightens the potency of a kryptonian or half kryptonian's powers and can cause the development of new powers with prolonged exposure. Repeated exposure can build a tolerance, but can also cause cancer. As the product of gold kryptonite, Bizarro has developed a complete immunity to it, and it's theorized it can depower Doomsday. It's also fatal if it comes into contact with humans over an extended amount of time.
** Black kryptonite makes full blooded kryptonians incredibly paranoid and can make their powers become increasingly unstable. It has the same effect on Bizarro as red kryptonite does on normal and half kryptonians, and temporarily turns humans into kryptonians.
** White kryptonite is one of the hardest versions to find and in its pure state it has no known effect, however it can temporarily take on the color and abilities of other forms of kryptonite it is exposed to for prolonged periods of time.
** Finally pink kryptonite. In full blooded kryptonians, it acts as an aphrodisiac, while in half kryptonians it enhances their psychic abilities. Pink kryptonite was able to temporarily weaken Doomsday when he was first exposed to it, but it is unknown if he's since developed immunity to it.
** Orange kryptonite is the rarest version of kryptonite, and it only affects Doomsday, humans, and some animals. It does accelerate Doomsday's evolution, it's mildly radioactive to humans, though it's unlikely to be fatal, and you can activate the metagenes in some animals, causing the development of meta-animal powers.
** Nearly every supernatural being has at least one major weakness, just like how Kryptonians are weakened by kryptonite. Daimons and Divine Beings are weak to adamant, several demons and Fae are weak to ColdIron, New Gods are weak to Radion, werebeasts are weak to silver and so on.

---> '''Roy''': One of DC's biggest strength for me always was their villains. They had all kinds that were memorable: compassionate villains, honorable villains, psychotic villains, monstrous villains, femme fatales, and sympathetic villains. But still, they were villains. Now, I'm a fan of a good redemption story. Darth Vader coming to Luke's defense, sacrificing himself in the process, is an awesome moment for me... but it works because Darth Vader had to suffer a consequence for his past sins... he had to die. If a villain is wakes up and says "I'm a good guy now!" and does a few good deeds and heroes are okay with them now, that makes the said heroes come off as phony or untrue in their convictions. [[EnemyMine Putting aside differences to fight a greater enemy is one thing]], but it's altogether another to be like: "You helped the Joker kill thousands of people and now you want to play dress up and go fight crime with me? Okay... Sure, this will be fun!"

Fixed Cosmic Retcon entry

* CosmicRetcon: The events of ''ComicBook/{{Watchmen}}'' existed in Earth-27. They would still be the heroes of the 80s (though Roy move them from 1985 to 1989), and their tale would mostly result in the same way that it does in the movie (Roy prefer the movie's ending over the graphic novel's finale) Except with even more devastation. The major cities of the world don't just suffer huge losses, most of the major cities are outright destroyed. So with Earth's major cities gone, this sets the stage for other cities to rise to prominence in the wake of this devastation: Gotham, Metropolis, Gateway City, Star City, Central City, etc. So while that doesn't change much of the heroes' backstories, it does change the setting quite a bit. Manhattan is gone, as are London, Madrid, Berlin, Rio, Mexico City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, Moscow, Sydney, Lagos, Cape Town, Cairo, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and even Washington, DC. This would give me a firm detachment from the real world and allow Roy to develop a unique world.

**
The "Alfred" Voxbox has indicated that Bruce is becoming this regarding his love life. life.
** Deconstructed with the Minutemen and Crimebusters. Worse if that job is as a costumed vigilante. What's the point of fighting street level crime when bigger issues like impending nuclear war hangs over everyone's head? Only someone really screwed up like Hooded Justice, Rorschach or Ozymandias would choose this as a career.

Added DiffLines:

* ZeppelinsFromAnotherWorld: Airships are far more common, because Dr. Manhattan can synthesize enough helium to make them cost-effective (and safer than hydrogen-filled airships would have been).

Added DiffLines:

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome:
