* ''Manga/The100GirlfriendsWhoReallyReallyReallyReallyReallyLoveYou'': Invoked by Naddy (birth name YamatoNadeshiko), who grew up in a very strict traditional Japanese household which left her feeling depressed and helpless; discovering American movies and seeing the freedom that American kids were allowed gave her hope for a better way of living. After moving out, she went all-out styling herself as the most Eagle-loving cow-poke 'Murrican imaginable, proclaiming to all and sundry the glories of American ''freedom!'' However, she's never actually been there (excepting for five minutes so she could [[ExactWords correctly tell her Japanese class she 'came from America']]) and her English is atrocious, so her understanding of what makes someone 'American' is rather... eccentric.

It's been decided that Manhua and Manhwa examples shall be placed into their own folders. Moving example to the correct section.

* ''Manhua/SchoolShock'' presents the Americans as aggressive diplomats with their default tactic being war threats, however backing down when some kind of resistance is shown (though the resister in this case was China). At least their president has an afro and a big smile.

* Subversion: In ''Manga/{{Beck}}'', the eponymous band was, according to the opening song, "made to hit in America," and the band trying to make it over there was the subject of much of the series. However, their idea of fitting in is wearing t-shirts that say "Jesus is Coming", and America is shown rather realistically (despite some pretty bad {{Engrish}} signage).

* ''Manga/{{Ajin}}'': While the series doesn't actually take place in the United States, the overall depiction of the US is rather mixed, particularly with how they treat the titular ajin--humans who have the ability to resurrect upon death. On one hand, leaked footage shows that the American military at one point performed horrid experiments on ajin, much like those performed by the Japanese government. On the other hand, it's shown that the United States, at least by the time the story takes place, has eventually come to treat ajin '''far''' better than the Japanese government does, as the vast majority of ajin are merely forced to wear a GPS and can otherwise go about having normal lives, quite a far cry from Japanese ajin needing to go on the run to avoid a lifetime of horrific torture. Furthermore, the American government is generally shown to be more open-minded than the Japanese government, as they readily accept doctor Ikuya Ogura's theories on ajin while the Japanese government stripped him of his position. On the ''other'' other hand, the most prominent American character in the series is [[BigBad Sato]][[note]]Real name: Samuel T. Owens[[/note]]: a [[AxCrazy bloodthirsty]] [[ThrillSeeker adrenaline junky]] who seeks to cause as much destruction as possible so he can [[ChallengeSeeker have some fun]] playing war games. Though in all fairness, Sato is clearly just a uniquely violent individual rather than any kind of baseline for the rest of the country.

* In ''Manga/PokemonAdventures'', Lt. Surge starts out as the Boorish: a power-hungry PsychoForHire that climbed to the top ranks of [[TheMafia Team Rocket]] and got his jollies beating the crap out of a teenage boy with a lightning {{BFG}} and an enslaved minor PhysicalGod. However, he starts transitioning out of it in later arcs, with the ''Yellow'' arc having him pull an EnemyMine and being [[NobleDemon surprisingly honorable in holding his end]], and the ''Silver and Gold'' has him pull a full HeelFaceTurn, now running a perfectly legal enterprise with his ship the S.S. Anne and later trying to talk his old Team Rocket pals (referring to them by name, despite the fact that they're generic mooks) out of doing something bad. [[spoiler:Granted, they're being mind controlled by Pryce, but he does it [[AFatherToHisMen out of genuine concern for them]], and it's the reason the legendary Pokémon Raikou teams up with him]]. He never goes full Beautiful, but his positive traits are much more in focus.

* ''Manga/GambleFish'' has King Omaha, the manga version of of Barack Obama who exudes patriotism and honor in just about every panel he's in. On the other hand, there are those (especially in America) who consider him an obnoxious ParodySue, with his admittedly unrealistic actions throughout the story (such as reversing the RapidAging of two young girls by draping them with an American flag to taking on the main villain in RussianRoulette and ''surviving'' the headshot) being satire of Obama's more...''controversial'' aspects and depictions, if not America's in general.

Gag Boobs has been renamed to Boob Based Gag. Changing to the proper trope where appropriate and cutting misuse.

* ''Manga/ZatchBell'' contains a team of superheroes called the Majestic Twelve, who are portrayed as amazingly incompetent. The only female member is named Big Boing (Lady Susan in the dub) and [[GagBoobs her superpowers consist of having huge breasts,]] smelling like lavender (in the English dub) and commenting on every moment with the word "''Yeah!''" But Apollo and Jeed are the American characters that we see most, and both are definitely Beautiful.

* The third episode of the 1990s [=OVAs=] of ''Manga/BlackJack'' features the "Federal Unites," complete with shots of the Statue of Liberty. ''This'' Eagleland is a corrupt, imperialist bully bent on controlling and oppressing weaker nations for the sake of their resources. This makes it ''very'' satisfying when Dr. Black Jack beats the crap out of the Vice President for [[spoiler:murdering his patient]].
