** Like his components, [[spoiler: Merged Zamasu's]] worldview is that mortals are evil mistakes of the gods and gods (or rather himself) are good and holy beings. [[spoiler:This is part of what drives him insane: the contradiction between him considering mortals inherently sinful and ''being'' part mortal and needing the power of one left him in complete conflict that is reflected in his [[TwoFace appearance upon mutating.]]]]

Trope was cut/disambiguated due to cleanup

** Gohan gets this three times thanks in no small part to his BadassDecay. He nearly dies after Tagoma shoots him through the chest and needed Piccolo to restart his heart to eat a Senzu. He is nearly killed by Frieza and Piccolo [[HeroicSacrifices sacrifices his life]] to save him. Once getting over his HeroicBSOD, Gohan uses the last of his energy to summon Goku and Vegeta to Earth and is nearly killed by Frieza ''again'', but is saved at the last second by Goku.

Dragon is disambiguated

** Frieza is again given this. Because he is so impatient to get his revenge, he rushes to Earth as soon as he becomes Golden Frieza. Despite greatly increasing his raw power and beating the crap out of Goku, he has no endurance for a long battle, which leads to him getting his butt handed to him by Goku and Vegeta. To add further insult, his army is stomped by people like Master Roshi, a character who lost to King Piccolo, who is nothing compared to the standards of the Z villains, and his {{Dragon}} is one-shotted by Vegeta.

Renamed to Clone Angst, cutting non-examples, ZCEs, and no-context potholes.

* CloningBlues:
** Whomever the Commeson hits, it not only takes their strength and power but takes on their form and personalities as well.
** Whis suspects that Goku Black is an EvilTwin that Zamasu created with the Super Dragon Balls, since Zamasu became obsessed with Goku after losing their sparring match. In truth, [[spoiler: [[AvertedTrope he's Present Zamasu from another timeline who took over Goku's body]] ]].

Added DiffLines:

** Hit is a [[ProfessionalKiller legendary assassin]] who is so [[TheDreaded feared]] that Frost is terrified when he sees him. [[spoiler: This is the same person who threw spades at two Gods of Destruction]]. Without even trying, he knocks Frost out and the next time we see Frost, he's moping in his seat. [[spoiler: Given that Frost is revealed to be a BitchInSheepsClothing who indirectly murdered millions if not billions of people in the wars he starts, just so he can buy and sell the planets he ruins, and he was trying to steal the prize treasure from the other fighters from U6 and takes Champa's space cube, what Hit gives him is extremely merciful]].

Per TRS.

* BadassBaritone:
** Beerus has one of the deepest voices in the cast and his voice drops when he's being serious.
** Champa also has a deep voice like his twin. He is also on Beerus' level.
** Monaka has a surprisingly deep voice for being so short and unassuming. [[spoiler: Turns out he really is unassuming. Monaka is quite weak and Beerus only plays him as his super-powerful trump card to motivate Goku and Vegeta]].
** When he talks, Hit has a deep voice, matching his stoic demeanor.
** Jiren's low growl of a voice only adds to his intimidation. Similarly, Top's booming voice helps to make his speeches about justice that much better. The deepness of their voices contrasts the Pride Troopers' number 3, Dyspo, whose higher pitch sets him apart as the younger, less experienced one.

Authority Equals Asskicking has been renamed. I'm taking this example to the R subpage.

* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: The King of All, Zeno, [[spoiler:is the ruler of the entire multiverse. He can also destroy all the universes in an instant, putting him ''way'' above Beerus and Champa, and even Whis and Vados]].

Armor Piercing Slap is no longer a trope

* ArmorPiercingSlap:
** Subverted when Bulma slaps Beerus for ruining her birthday party and trying to kill Vegeta. It doesn't work, and he slaps her back. And unlike the movie, the slap didn't even turn his head.
** Played straight when Goku, impatient to receive training from Whis and knowing he periodically visits Bulma, appears in Bulma's house as she's stepping out of the shower to ask if Whis has appeared. She gives Goku a cold stare and then a punch that knocks his head back.
** In Episode 29 Bulma slaps Beerus again for insulting her. This time it's played for comedy; the slap knocks him back because he's not in fighting mode, and he forgives it because Bulma had just had a good idea.

*** In the ''Battle of Gods'' Arc, she angrily chews out Beerus for spoiling her birthday and slaps him across the face. Keep in mind that Beerus is the [[PhysicalGod God of Destruction]] and TheDreaded for even Shenron himself, and Bulma just saw him effortlessly beat down all of the Z-Fighters, including Vegeta, with her own eyes. Thankfully, she gets off with nothing but an ArmorPiercingSlap. Thank God (Creator/AkiraToriyama) for PlotArmor!

* AmbiguousDisorder: There is something clearly wrong with [[spoiler:Zamasu]] long before he became an AxCrazy KnightTemplar. He fits many of the characteristics of a high-functional [[TheSociopath sociopath]], but he also have an inability to cope with any [[BlackAndWhiteInsanity perceived evil]], is extremely sadistic despite his 'noble' intentions, and have an inability to even considered that he maybe wrong. What makes him stand out compared to other villains in the series is that [[spoiler:Zamasu]] wasn't born or created evil like King Piccolo, Frieza, Cell, and Majin Buu. He's [[spoiler:supposed to be a [[GodIsGood god who overlooks the living world and give it guidance]]]]. So it's all the more jarring that he's so twisted, which is probably why [[spoiler:Gowasu]] doesn't know how to deal with him.

Updating Link

*** Hit is voiced by Idzi Dutkiewicz, who has already played a character who became friendly with a Mario Castañeda character, as he's the voice actor for [[ComicBook/IronMan Tony Stark / Iron Man]] in the MCU, while Castañeda dubs [[ComicBook/IncredibleHulk Bruce Banner]] in the MCU. That's right; there's a Science Bros. reunion here.
