The author's previous work based on the same franchise, ''FanFic/SylviaTheSylveon'', is articulate, well-written, has likeable characters, and doesn't rely on clichés to be good. Oh, and it's a jillion times better than the crap you see on other sites. ''Marvelous Journey'', on the other hand, is an ''extreme'' regression in quality. Seriously, you'd be surprised it has the same author as one of my all-time favourite fics... Why are the mons' names not capitalised? Why do the characters act older (I don't know any 13-year-olds who are/were like the main character's older sister)? Why are there no characters who are as likeable as ''Sylvia'''s characters? Why the obsessive-compulsive names given to the characters? Why the use of real-world brands? Why the overuse of "facepalm" and other words that you would not expect to find in a professional publication? Why the overuse of "Julia thought (insert Pokémon name here) looked more like a (whatever it [supposedly] resembles) than a (what the Pokédex calls it)"? Why the overuse of certain other phrases? Why the incorrect portrayal of certain attacks, one of which is in ''the first chapter''? Why the unbalanced 'mon genders? And why the overall DarkerAndEdgier tone?

* DrY9K: The VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddys2 fanfic [[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10831245/1/A-Couple-of-Misfits A Couple of Misfits]] would be decent if it didn't decide to keep Foxy as an [[spoiler:UndeadChild]] as he is in the game, and portray Mangle as a non-[[spoiler:possessed]] robot. The author decides Foxy being a [[spoiler:murder victim]] isn't important and what is important is that he and Mangle become close friends/lovers, essentially making the story a case of "[[spoiler:[[{{Squick}} dead child X soulless, deteriorating robot]]]]," and yet the author thinks this is [[DudeNotFunny cute]]?!?

* Tropers/Candycane14: What did [[Franchise/TheSmurfs Handy]] ever do to deserve the SlashFic "I Love you Handy"?! Even as a slash fan I hate this fic... Long story short, Handy suffers the worst form of {{Wimpification}} in the fic as he gets into a relationship with Hefty (who, by the way, [[IncestYayShipping are revealed to be brothers by Papa Smurf]]). Furthermore, there are a lot of UnfortunateImplications -- if you're best friends with someone, it means you wanna have constant sodomy with them, Rape Equals Love, girl's first choices are hot muscled guys, and more I'll get to below. Now, toward the end of the fic, Hefty gets gravely injured when trying to save Handy from Gargamel and dies. What does Handy do? He blames Greedy for not coming to help sooner and attacks him. Uh, no, prick! It's your own fault for [[IdiotBall not listening to Papa's advice to stay out of the woods, getting lost into the forest without preparing anything for support, and getting captured]]! Over the next few chapters Handy doesn't do anything but cry. And then the fic pulls an AssPull of epic proportions: Hefty is brought back to life ''because of'' all Handy's crying. ... And what's worse, this in a fic co-written by two authors who get lots of praise for it.

So a little later, Bubbles goes with Him to Hell and gets a rundown of the rules of this agreement, etc, and then is left to have a rest for the night before starting her "duties" the next day.\\
So, what awaits her the next day? Him insists she stays stark naked, wears a collar and leash like a dog, eats/ sleeps on the floor just like an animal, and only refers to Him as "Master". Yeah...but it gets worse. Later on Him forces Bubbles to get in the tub for a bath with him, and she of course hesitates. This pisses off Him, who forces Bubbles to give him a hand job as a punishment. Bubbles is of course upset but Him angrily insists that he is not asking her to give him her virginity, so she should essentially shut up and do what he says. Uh- okay, if you force someone to give you sexual pleasure against their will, [[PunctuatedForEmphasis that. Is. Rape.]] Intercourse or not. Wanna see it get worse? Later we get the same situation with the bath again, but Bubbles goes through with it out of fear. Him insists on washing her and violating her personal space until she's (justifiably) certain this will lead to rape. Him once again insists he will not rape her. RapeIsASpecialKindOfEvil, after all. Nope. Him reveals that this was all just a clever little scheme he put together to trick innocent little Bubbles into falling for/ trusting him. So is Bubbles pissed out of her mind since all the humiliation and molestation she went through was just a trick and proceeds to kick his demonic ass? Oh no, she's just a little insulted. Look, Bubbles might be the most kindhearted and understanding of the Girls, but she is certainly is not this kind of a pushover! I won't use up the rest of this page typing out the ending or the stuff that comes after this. The thing that gets me is that these plot elements make the moral come off as: "If someone forces you to be a glorified SexSlave that = True Love!!" and "Rape is only if someone forces intercourse on you, not any other type of touching or sexual contact against your will." The fic is supposed to be darkly romantic, but this comes across as deeply disturbing.

SlashFic(Crappy Hefty/Handy fic)"I Love you Handy"(It should be "I loathe you Handy")written by 'Kiss the Smurf','Kiss the Iconist' on Deviantart(I don't wanna kiss her! I wanna kick her!)with her partner in crime, Shini Smurf. Even as a slash fan I hate this fic...it is the worst fan fic in general, I ever read. It is the 'Ren Seeks Help' of all fanfiction. The stories are different but still give you the same mentality.[[note]] As Mr.Enter said, It can change who you are. Beyond just giving you nightmares, or making you think that the writer's a sadistic fuck. It has the ability to kill hope. It has the ability to kill sanity. It has the ability to kill innocence.[[/note]] One of the reasons why I liked Handy, was because although he wasn't physically strong like Hefty, he was strong on the inside and had courage. Not to mention, he was smart and Hello? An inventor! All of which thrown out the window, and suffered the worst case of {{Wimpification}}. Later in the story Handy had a prophecy nightmare, where Hefty got killed while they were both on the stork, and Hefty fell off. This is important later. So all this time the two authors were writing about two brothers having constant sodomy, and were happy, they written it...later, Hefty had to help with Papa at the forest and told Handy to stay put. Handy didn't listen and got lost in the forest. He went into the forest, because he was worried about the prophecy dream. [[WhatAnIdiot Uh, Handy in order for the prophecy dream coming true and Hefty getting killed, 'You' have to be in it. Getting yourself involved, just encourages the prophecy! And he just goes out on his own without atleast a weapon or, let's see, what does he make again?? Oh, yeah! Inventions!]] [[OutOfCharacter God, this is really fucking stupid, even for Handy's character!]] Then he got caught by Gargamel. Hefty and the other smurfs manage to save Handy and they excaped, but Gargamel got Hefty gravely injured in the process. Then Handy being a little prick in this fic, blamed one of his good close friends, Greedy for not coming to help sooner and attacked him. He blamed greedy for Hefty's condition. Uh, no! No, prick! It's your own fault for not listening, not thinking this through, getting lost into the forest with nothing for support, getting captured, with all led to Hefty's condition! And nobody bothered to point this out to the whiny, spoiled little shit! Earlier, Handy tried to killed himself so 'he can join Hefty', if he meant heaven, neither will go due to all their sodomy! Over the next few chapters Handy doesn't do anything else but cried and cried and cried. It almost made me stop reading this fic! When Hefty died, Handy was a dick to everyone and cried and cried and cried and cried, then..they pulled a [[WesternAnimation/SpongebobSquarepants "Stuck In The Wringer".]] Hefty was brought back to life. Handy himself pointed he did nothing but cried. Hefty told him all of his contant crying was what brought him back to life.(eye twitches). Ok I'm done! Handy is not some useless chick with a dick who giggles/sobs/fucks all the time! This fic would've worked better with Scardy or maybe Weepy in Handy's place! I read South Park and Regular show slash fics([[http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Fanfic/RegularShowAugust August for example]]) which featured porn, but had better characterization and storytelling with more controlled hormones. I read one [[BelligerentSexualTension Handy/Brainy]] lemon fic, where Handy was 10000000000000000 times more in character [[EpicFail then in this fic with over 40 chapters!]] And...it just broke me...it made me quit the smurfs fandom...these two writers just care more about writing senseless smut then proper story telling and get lots of praises for it...I'm-I'm out. The pairing and this fic, can all just burn in hell!

* SenorCornholio: Since [[Fanfic/MyLittleUnicorn My Little Unicorn]] already has its own page, let's talk about DakariKingMykan's other crowning achievement, [[Fanfic/TheEndOfEnds The End of Ends.]] It's exactly as much of a wangst-ridden [[AuthorTract Author Tract]] as you would expect, and there are plenty of moments to choose from. I could have put [[BigBad Count Logan's]] ([[TheUnreveal actually Beast Boy's]]) reasons for blowing up Tamaran being that he was upset that Starfire and Robin got together while he didn't get back with Terra, but I think there's a moment that's far worse. A fair warning: this one's slightly going into meta territory. At the end, [[spoiler: Logan performs a [[HeelFaceTurn heel-face turn]] and helps defeat [[TheStarscream Dr. Beljar]]...[[DroppedABridgeOnHim and then Logan dies.]]]] After that fact, some fans (yes, this fic actually has fans) were sad and upset that [[spoiler: Logan died]], to which Mykan responded with his reasoning: [[spoiler: because Terra had left him in "Things Change", he is doomed to die even if he is redeemed and Terra gets back with him!]] Okay Mykan, what the fuck! I could handle [[spoiler: a character dying]], but that kind of reasoning is just...just...NO!

* @/REV6Pilot on FanFic/TheSunSoul. In chapter 22, Ash fights [[PsychoForHire Jessie]] in a battle that ends up with her injured and trapped. Mind you, the Rocket trio is extremely dangerous in this fic, and Ash was almost killed by them on several occasions before then. [[DarthWiki.WallBanger And he takes her to be treated anyway!]] He even [[LampshadeHanging lampshades]] how bad the idea is, and we see how dearly he pays for being right later on [[spoiler: when she kills Misty]]. When the author [[WhatTheHellPlayer is called out on it]], he says [[{{Jerkass}} he did it like that because bad things happen in the real world for no damn reason]]. Well, congratulations, Fifty, you managed to lose much more than one reader.

* @/KingClark: While I was reading throughout the [[FanficRecs/NeonGenesisEvangelion NGE Fanfic Recs,]] I came across one title that sounded interesting: ''FanFic/{{Arsenal}}''. It starts off as a PeggySue fic, but quickly turns into a rollercoaster of insanity. Throughout the story, Shinji goes around doing [[RefugeInAudacity ridiculously awesome]], yet [[AntiHero unquestionally corrupt]] things as a NecessarilyEvil SociopathicHero, all in the name of preventing the [[TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt Third Impact]]. Shinji starts the story off by doing things that are worse than what Gendo did for most of the series, but nothing too evil. There are signs that the story might be shaky in the way that Shinji causes his new underlings to change their ways quickly, but it isn't anything that isn't unforgivable. Unfortunately, the conclusion of the Black Bunnies arc takes Shinji beyond the MoralEventHorizon and completely ruins the viewer's ability to like the protagonist in one fell swoop. The three [[BigBadDuumvirate Black Bunnies]] are all established as extremely immoral and evil, and Shinji decides [[DisproportionateRetribution how he'll deal with them]]: he plans to use nanomachines to destroy their nervous systems entirely, in order to place them each into a FateWorseThanDeath that is borderline AndIMustScream material. No one has any objections against his decision beforehand (not even Misato, who even helps set up what Shinji has planned for them). As for the punishments themselves, they are as follows (spoilertagged for [[NauseaFuel high amounts]] of {{Squick}}): [[spoiler: Kaede, the first Bunny, is subject to 48 hours of ColdBloodedTorture, and is then [[BrainwashedAndCrazy forced to become]] a bodyguard who is coerced into pain if she so much as thinks about her past. This is easily the least harsh of the punishments. Satsuki, the second Bunny, has her brain permanently damaged and reduced to acting as what can best be described as a human dog. [[KickTheDog To add insult to injury]], Shinji decides to give her a collar, make her sleep in a basket and eat out of a bowl, while the only desires that run through her mind are to recieve affection from her "master". He decides then to keep her as a sex slave for no other reason that she would have done the same to him, but mainly because he can. It gets worse, [[SerialEscalation though]]: Aoi, the third Bunny, has her abilities to smell, taste and touch numbed forever, and is left tied up in shackles in a chamber. The population of Tokyo-3 then covers her with graffitti (this isn't even RefugeInAudacity anymore; it's just grotesque and utterly ridiculous). Finally, a man decides to use her as a toilet, all while she can only beg for death.]] Shinji then gloats about what he's done to his father, and tells him what he's done all [[NightmareFetishist while sounding extremely pleased]]. Afterward, Gendo is visibly disgusted with his son's treatment of the Black Bunnies [[DarthWiki.WallBanger in spite of the fact that he approved of the use of these nanomachines in the first place]]. So, does Shinji have a shred of guilt for what he's done? Absolutely not. The only thing that comes close to that is his remembrance of what Asuka said to him in the canon, but that hardly counts. Remember when I said that Shinji's actions were all in the name of stopping the Third Impact? [[JumpingOffTheSlipperySlope This has absolutely nothing to do with it]], so the author just turned an interesting character into a sick freak without a good reason. What's even worse is that the author has claimed that he considers these things to be proportionate punishments to them. No one, not even the worst of villains, should experience fates as disturbing as these. The protagonist has practically become a prime example of a DesignatedHero with this action, and has been warped beyond recognition from his canonical counterpart. I'm too disgusted with this story to read through it any further, and I'd rather not see whatever the author [[CharacterDerailment turns]] Asuka into ([[DeadFic assuming he's still churning out this filth]]). It's a shame that TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot, too; from the premise and some pieces of the plot, this story is a prime example of WhatCouldHaveBeen a good, interesting read. [[note]]Phew. Yeah...but it gets worse. Later on Him forces Bubbles to get in the tub for a bath with him, and she of course hesitates. This pisses off Him, who forces Bubbles to give him a hand job as a punishment. Bubbles is of course upset but Him angrily insists that he is not asking her to give him her virginity, so she should essentially shut up and do what he says. Uh- okay, if you force someone to give you sexual pleasure against their will, [[PunctuatedForEmphasis that. Is. Rape.]] Intercourse or not. Wanna see it get worse? Later we get the same situation with the bath again, but Bubbles goes through with it out of fear. Him insists on washing her and violating her personal space until she's (justifiably) certain this will lead to rape. Him once again insists he will not rape her. RapeIsASpecialKindOfEvil, after all. [[SarcasmMode But--it's a-okay if he simply manhandles her a little for kicks as long as it's not the direct act of sex.]] Oh, and it doesn't end there. [[StockholmSyndrome Later Bubbles has started to fall for Him,]] and her time is almost up and she can go back home in a few days. Now, does Him reveal that the whole "Take Me Instead and use me like a Pet" is a big supernatural contract that was out of Him's control to change the rules of, and they both had to get through it on those terms whether either of them agreed to them or not? Nope. Him reveals that this was all just a clever little scheme he put together to trick innocent little Bubbles into falling for/ trusting him. So is Bubbles pissed out of her mind since all the humiliation and molestation she went through was just a trick and proceeds to kick his demonic ass? Oh no, she's just a little insulted. Look, Bubbles might be the most kindhearted and understanding of the Girls, but she is certainly is not this kind of a pushover! I won't use up the rest of this page typing out the ending or the stuff that comes after this. The thing that gets me is that these plot elements make the moral come off as: "If someone forces you to be a glorified SexSlave that = True Love!!" and "Rape is only if someone forces intercourse on you, not any other type of touching or sexual contact against your will." The fic is supposed to be darkly romantic, but this comes across as deeply disturbing.

* N8han11: While FanFic/PrisonIslandBreak is one of my favourite FanFics out there, there is one moment I don't enjoy. Over the course of the story, [[VideoGame/SonicAdventure2 Shadow]] has been shown to be a very messed up homophobe, and person in general. So what does he do in season 2? Make out with Sonic in the bathrooms of course, going completely against the character he had at that point. All the chapter did was show that the author gave in to the Sonadow shippers, and it dragged down the story.

* Calamity2007: I used to love Fanfic/DiamondInTheRough but episode 13 has a moment which made me put the whole series in question. It is the scene near the end of the fight between the Diamondback Beasts and Flandre, where they decide to "Screw Spell Card Rules" and paralyze her. Now the problem I have is that this seems to ignore Flandre's [[PersonOfMassDestruction natural ability to destroy anything at will]], which is why she is always fought with Spell Card Rules, to suppress this ability. It just seemed that Spaztique conveniently forgot that she could do that just for a WhamEpisode. This becomes especially annoying when you see the previous episode where Tenshi [[TakeThatAudience takes on a not so subtle rant]] about misinterpreting the characters, like Yuuka being a sadist or Tenshi being masochist. Then come the next episode and it seemed that Spaztique [[{{Hypocrite}} ignores]] Flandre's canon power for the sake of drama. The next episode attempts to HandWave this by Flandre believing in HonorBeforeReason but that still is a fan-created personality trait, and thus can be taken as a misinterpretation, just to excuse this scene and center the blame on Brolli.

* @/KingClark: While I was reading throughout the [[FanficRecs/NeonGenesisEvangelion NGE Fanfic Recs,]] I came across one title that sounded interesting: ''FanFic/{{Arsenal}}''. It starts off as a PeggySue fic, but quickly turns into a rollercoaster of insanity. Throughout the story, Shinji goes around doing [[RefugeInAudacity ridiculously awesome]], yet [[AntiHero unquestionally corrupt]] things as a NecessarilyEvil SociopathicHero, all in the name of preventing the [[TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt Third Impact]]. Shinji starts the story off by doing things that are worse than what Gendo did for most of the series, but nothing too evil. There are signs that the story might be shaky in the way that Shinji causes his new underlings to change their ways quickly, but it isn't anything that isn't unforgivable. Unfortunately, the conclusion of the Black Bunnies arc takes Shinji beyond the MoralEventHorizon and completely ruins the viewer's ability to like the protagonist in one fell swoop. The three [[BigBadDuumvirate Black Bunnies]] are all established as extremely immoral and evil, and Shinji decides [[DisproportionateRetribution how he'll deal with them]]: he plans to use nanomachines to destroy their nervous systems entirely, in order to place them each into a FateWorseThanDeath that is borderline AndIMustScream material. No one has any objections against his decision beforehand (not even Misato, who even helps set up what Shinji has planned for them). As for the punishments themselves, they are as follows (spoilertagged for [[NauseaFuel high amounts]] of {{Squick}}): [[spoiler: Kaede, the first Bunny, is subject to 48 hours of ColdBloodedTorture, and is then [[BrainwashedAndCrazy forced to become]] a bodyguard who is coerced into pain if she so much as thinks about her past. This is easily the least harsh of the punishments. Satsuki, the second Bunny, has her brain permanently damaged and reduced to acting as what can best be described as a human dog. [[KickTheDog To add insult to injury]], Shinji decides to give her a collar, make her sleep in a basket and eat out of a bowl, while the only desires that run through her mind are to recieve affection from her "master". He decides then to keep her as a sex slave for no other reason that she would have done the same to him, but mainly because he [[PrecisionFStrike fucking]] can. It gets worse, [[SerialEscalation though]]: Aoi, the third Bunny, has her abilities to smell, taste and touch numbed forever, and is left tied up in shackles in a chamber. The population of Tokyo-3 then covers her with graffitti (this isn't even RefugeInAudacity anymore; it's just grotesque and utterly ridiculous). Finally, a man decides to use her as a toilet, all while she can only beg for death.]] Shinji then gloats about what he's done to his father, and tells him what he's done all [[NightmareFetishist while sounding extremely pleased]]. Afterward, Gendo is visibly disgusted with his son's treatment of the Black Bunnies [[DarthWiki.WallBanger in spite of the fact that he approved of the use of these nanomachines in the first place]]. So, does Shinji have a shred of guilt for what he's done? Absolutely not. The only thing that comes close to that is his remembrance of what Asuka said to him in the canon, but that hardly counts. Remember when I said that Shinji's actions were all in the name of stopping the Third Impact? [[JumpingOffTheSlipperySlope This has absolutely nothing to do with it]], so the author just turned an interesting character into a sick freak without a good reason. What's even worse is that the author has claimed that he considers these things to be proportionate punishments to them. No one, not even the worst of villains, should experience fates as disturbing as these. The protagonist has practically become a prime example of a DesignatedHero with this action, and has been warped beyond recognition from his canonical counterpart. I'm too disgusted with this story to read through it any further, and I'd rather not see whatever the author [[CharacterDerailment turns]] Asuka into ([[DeadFic assuming he's still churning out this filth]]). It's a shame that TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot, too; from the premise and some pieces of the plot, this story is a prime example of WhatCouldHaveBeen a good, interesting read. [[note]]Phew. That sure took a while, didn't it?[[/note]]

** WhyNotNow: There were a lot of stupid moments that came before this one, such as Dumbledore's conviction that Harry was another child Hitler, the more complicated use of words and terms that distances itself from the original ''HarryPotter'' lore, Harry threatening Hermione over something she never did in the future, Mr. Granger's CharacterDerailment, but they were still small moments that this troper could overlook because the quality of the story was good. Then... came this moment. Charlie Weasley threatens to murder Harry. That's not an exaggeration, that's not an overstatement, he literally comes out and tells Harry that if he hurts Ginny, he'll feed him to a dragon just to get rid of the evidence. And I thought Mr. Granger was portrayed negatively. This is far from AlternateCharacterInterpretation; this right here is character assassination, and FridgeHorror quickly abounds when you wonder if the author himself would ever make these death threats to potential suitors of his children, if he has any. I could live with the stupidity before, but I cannot live with this. I'm done with this story.

* Troper/{{kablammin45}}: [[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6272222/10/Kingdom_Hearts_An_Ed_Edd_n_Eddy_Story This]] otherwise cool fanfic about ''WesternAnimation/EdEddNEddy'' in KingdomHearts has the chapter in the link, which midway through, the world of JohnnyTest blown up. Call it a CrowningMomentOfAwesome, but for this troper, who is pretty much neutral to that series, with the lack of angst from the good guys, as well as some mean spirited mockery at some poor dude who wanted Johnny in it, for this troper it kinda crossed the line btween CMOA to DudeNotFunny. (Of course YMMV)

* Tropers/{{GoneRampant}}: ''Fanfic/MassVexations'' was an interesting SelfInsert at the start of its run, with the second being one of the better fanfics this Troper has read in the last while. However, Mass Vexations 3 throws some pretty big curveballs in its recent arcs, with the one leaving the most bitter taste in my mouth being [[spoiler:[[RapeAsDrama Tali getting raped by an exiled quarian]]]]. The suddenness of it, alongside the fact that Art has apparently [[spoiler:[[SpotlightStealingSquad became one of the Normandy's COs alongside Garrus and Miranda after Shepard has been arrested by the Council]]]], since Art seems to be the only member of the Normandy (which has not lost much of the team from Mass Effect 2 along with [[ItMakesSenseInContext people from other dimensions]]) who can actually do something.
* @/{{xployalist}}: A fairly engaging retelling of Majora's Mask, "Looking back at Termina", was highly enjoyable up until chapter 6. This troper's enjoyment of this fic completely nosedived at two sentences. "Malon took out a sandwich and tossed it to Link. Link looked inside and found a Deku Scrub sandwich. It warmed Link's heart to know that Malon still went all out to find his favorite meats." Up until this point, I regarded this fic as an above-average retelling with a framing device. But because of this trio of sentences, this fic was rendered irredemable. First of all, Deku Scrubs are shown by their character design to be plant people, and therefore not have what we would recognize as "meat". This is also shown by Deku Link's vulnerability to fire: wood burns much more easily than flesh. Secondly, Link is willingly eating the "meat" of a sentient being that someone murdered, and no one has a problem with it. He undoubtedly knows that Deku Scrubs as sentient lifeforms, as they are shown to be capable of speech and barter in Ocarina of Time and have their own friggin palace in Majora's Mask, complete with architecture, organized security force, and music. Thirdly, Deku Scrubs aren't like cows. Sentient beings usually don't enjoy being killed to serve as the consumable energy source of others, and will voice their complaints towards you. They're smart enough to try to escape being cattle that will eventually die to feed others. So where is the "meat" coming from? Did Malon go out to the Lost Woods and find a Deku Scrub to murder and slice into pieces, all for Link?

* SomeNewGuy: [[Blog/AskAPony The Coop]], following weeks of inactivity, provides us all with [[spoiler:a needlessly bleak, super-"edgy'' {{sudden downer ending}}]] apropos of absolutely nothing--every Scootaloo other than Factory [[spoiler:dies a horrible, graphic death, all just so the author could make a reboot.]] If that ain't a horrid note to end/start on, I don't know what is. Not since the constant [[{{Diabolus Ex Machina}} Diaboli Ex Machina]] of Motherly Scootaloo has a pony tumblr pissed me off this much.

* @/{{Korodzik}}: The ''My Little Pony'' fanfic ''[[http://www.fimfiction.net/story/27033/of-challenges-and-kisses Of Challenges and Kisses]]'' begins as an adorable, humorous and very promising story about Featherweight's awkward school crush. Then, however, the author apparently decided this wasn't interesting enough and proceeded to insert raunchy jokes about sex toys and genitals... culminating in the Dethroning Moment where, out of the blue, ''Twilight Sparkle and Cherilee have almost on-screen lesbian sex'' while Featherweight is watching. How in the world could anyone think it a good idea to turn a perfectly good, cute story into a crass sex comedy without warning?

* @/{{Mokyn}}- A ''Film/HowToTrainYourDragon'' fan fic, ''Principles and Elements'', was one I was actually very much enjoying the first time I read it. It's an AU of the movie that also fits in supernatural elements of witches and vampires to add to the dragons, and while by no means perfect, it was perfectly good in my eyes. Until about chapter 14 or so (my memory is foggy on this). During a big battle between many of these supernatural factions, there is a sentence that says [[spoiler: "Bodies fell to the ground like prisoners in a concentration camp."]] Buh... What?! I'm reading a fun adventure with dragons and witches and things, and the author suddenly decides to pull out Holocaust references?! I had only recently watched ''Night and Fog'' at the time, a documentary showing just how gruesome the concentration camps were, so I I immediately got the images of that in my head and back-buttoned out of the fic right then and have yet to return to it. The most annoying thing? They could just written, "Bodies fell to the ground" and the story would not be affected. They used a horrible, horrible moment of human history for a throwaway sentence! This still bothers me even after months of leaving the fic behind.

* {{nicktoonhero}}: [[http://askpun.tumblr.com/ Ask Pun Pony]] is a rather amusing AskAPony blog about an OriginalCharacter pony who goes around making (often) [[IncrediblyLamePun bad puns]]. But this [[http://askpun.tumblr.com/post/32739301724/i-wont-say-something-about-somepony-that-i one]] particular entry is what practically ruined Pun Pony in the eyes of nearly all of her followers. Pun Pony becomes an AuthorAvatar for the writer who was drawing her at the time, and she starts giving out her incredibly negative views on the Mane Six. All the stuff she says about them are completely off, having such [[SarcasmMode gems]] as calling Rainbow Dash a living stereotype about pegasi, and [[InsaneTrollLogic calling out Twilight Sparkle for treating the very library she lives in like her own personal home.]] And apparently, she doesn't have anything bad to say about [[CloudCuckooLander Pinkie Pie]], even though she has flaws of her own. This entry is basically the equivalent of the times [[WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy Brian]] talked about his beliefs, which are known to be very pretentious. Overall, the entry is not funny, it has little to do about a pony making puns, and it angered a lot of bronies (including me) who know the main characters like the palm of their hands.

The message he wanted to get across was unclear, however, it's pretty obvious he had no understanding of the reasons people might take umbrage at the blog. [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking Plus, it's in response to a question that hadn't even hinted at having a thing to do with the affairs.]] I'll admit, I'd been looking for reasons to not like John Joseco, but this is a much better excuse than any I could come up with.
