[[http://s1.zetaboards.com/WarOfDiscord/index War Of Discord]] is a [[PlayByPostGames Play By Post Roleplaying Game]] set in an original fantasy world. It places an emphasis on writing, and doesn't have a battle system, instead letting the players decide the flow of battle against enemies on their own, and letting battles between characters be decided by the better writer, though battles are strictly watched to prevent [[GodModders Godmodding]].

The site was founded September 2011, and there is a [[http://s1.zetaboards.com/WarOfDiscord/topic/4562446/1/#new Table of Contents]] to help readers find their way around the RP. In December of 2011, the board was closed to new members due to the heavy emphasis on the already existing characters, which would make it difficult for new members to get their characters in, though a few there have been a few new members since.

The RP is a HeroicFantasy setting, with the plot being that two countries with a long rivalry have gone to war, with a third country hiring two mercenary teams and sending one into each country to see if there was an outside cause. Of course, the two groups can't even make to their destinations without being interrupted by bandits, demons, kidnappers, half-orcs, and vampires, with things just getting worse once the actually arrive in the two warring nations.

(Since about January 2013, this site has been dead due to lack of activity, and probably will not pick back up in the future.)

!! This Roleplay provides examples of:
%%* AbortedArc: Many. This is to be expected in a RP though.
%%* TheAce: Stephen and Isaac to a degree. Arturia is currently better than both of them but she isn't exactly well known.
%%** Kazairl seems to have been one for the Knights of Falhanor, before he left.
%%* ActionGirl: Arturia, Meru, and Irisa are the most obvious examples, but Ash and Gerty also qualify.
* AddedAlliterativeAppeal: The title of the first topic in Chapter 4 "The Tricks and Trades of Triumph".
* AlliterativeName: Isaac Irving.
%%* AlwaysChaoticEvil: Orcs
* ArmorIsUseless: [[PlayingWithATrope Played with]]. Kazairl takes hits from arrows during the battle in Aldion, but they were in the shoulder and leg, where there are uncovered spaces to allow movement.
%%* AwesomeMccoolName: Astrel White.
%%* AnAxeToGrind: Lara and Kain.
%%* {{Badass}}: Everyone except Lara, Ash, Gerty, and Jack.

%%* BlackKnight: [[AvertedTrope Averted]]. Kazairl looks the part, but has none of the personality.

* ChurchMilitant: The Holy Church of Iristaire has its own army.
%%* CurbstompBattle: Kazairl VS. Ash, Kazairl and Meru VS. Kain, ANYONE except Ash and Lara VS. Bandits. Stephen VS. Jack was shaping up to be this, but it got interrupted.
%%* DangerouslyGenreSavvy: Arturia. Stephen to a lesser degree as well.
%%* DarkAndTroubledPast: Most everyone although Isaac wins for having the worst in the shortest period of time.
%%* DarkIsNotEvil: Arturia and Kazairl Norack.

%%* DynamicEntry: A part of Isaac's BigDamnHeroes moment.

%%* {{Jerkass}}: Isaac and Irisa. Allan can come off as this in his more arrogant moments, as can Kaz when he's dealing with Alan.
