* BrainwashedAndCrazy: During the events of Chapter 5.
* BrokenSmile: Threw this when he broke.
* BrutalHonesty: Could be considered this when he first met Miho, and when he confronted Hayato before after the events of Chapter 1.
* CannotTellALie: His entire morality is based on this, similar to Miho’s. It caused him to spill his friend’s entire secret to Miho and indirectly cause Chapter 2’s culprit to murder. He slowly learned how to lie though, mainly seen in [[spoiler:Chapter 5 where he acted crazy in order to reel out the mastermind.]]
* CharacterDevelopment: From the entirety of the chapters, he’s now become more softer and sweeter. It was mainly thanks to Hayato that he became more sweeter, especially since [[spoiler:Hayato got revived and they eventually married.]]
* CharacterTic: Used to refer to people by last name + honorific. He also tends to give pet names.
* [[spoiler:ColdBloodedTorture: What caused him to break during chapter 5, but he luckily snapped out of it (doesn’t mean he’s completely unaffected though).]]
* FatalFlaw: Surprisingly, his belief in telling the truth above all else. It led to his hypocritical beliefs.
* GoneHorriblyRight: When he acted crazy in order to get the others to react.
* HeroicBSoD: Had a small one during Chapter 2 when he was threatened with a knife [[spoiler:from Sasori]] after he spilled [[spoiler:Dakota's]] secret. The biggest would be Chapter 4’s case when [[spoiler:both of his friends Hayato and Dakota died (it was worse since Dakota was the one who killed Hayato, and the true victim was supposed to be Miho). He had to be slapped out of it by Miles.]]
* Hypocrite: Mainly in regards to his belief in telling the truth above all else. He does have his fair share of secrets he hides.
* ItsAllMyFault: What he believed during Chapter 4’s case. It helped get to what happened in Chapter 5.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Associated with Miho and bullied Hayato and Miles, but he slowly developed into caring about them and going against Miho’s morals.
* KickTheDog: After the events of Chapter 1, Raima intentionally went over to spite on [[spoiler:Hayato for Koharu killing herself.]]
* LoveInterest: To Hayato.
* PetTheDog: When he was hugging Hayato to calm him down during Chapter 4. He ruffles Miles’ hair a lot too.
* RedHerring: When Raima acted crazy in Chapter 5.
* SmugSmiler: He loves to smirk.
* TraumaCongaLine: Feels like this. Chapter 4 had both his friends die (one killing the other), being shut off during Chapter 5 at first, and then [[spoiler:his torture and brainwashing.]] He luckily was snapped out of everything because of Miles.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: His hair is a shade of purple to indigo.

* BastardBoyfriend: Plays the role of one while fooling around with Saki in Chapter 1. [[spoiler:This serves as Foreshadowing for his true nature.]]
* BeneathSuspicion: At least in Naomi's opinion at the start of Chapter 5. How ironic.
* BerserkButton: The first sign he's anything but a harmless flirt is when Miho calls him a commoner at the end of Chapter 2, which angers him enough to attack her the next morning.
* BeyondTheImpossible: He seduces (and later has sex with) the fourth wall. No, not the audience. The fourth wall.
* [[spoiler:Big Bad: He's the mastermind of two killing games.]]
* BiggerIsBetterInBed: It's 7.58" long, according to Word of God, and Yutaka is skilled enough with it to [[spoiler:keep Miho coming back for more multiple times during Chapter 5.]]
* BlazingInfernoHellfireSauce: Cooks a chili containing Carolina Reaper peppers as part of Truth or Dare, and even gets an unsuspecting Akemi to have a taste.
* BuxomIsBetter: Seems to holds this opinion, considering how often he insults Tsubaki's lack of bust in the final trial.
* TheCasanova: At least, during Chapters 1 and 2, where he seduces Saki and hits it off with Sasori though nothing comes of it in the end beyond friendship, as she is [[spoiler:executed that chapter.]] This resurfaces come Chapter 5, [[spoiler:when he flirts with Miho enough for her to forgive him for attacking her in Chapter 3 and winds up getting her pregnant.]]
* ChivalrousPervert: Finds Tsubaki attractive, but vows to make no further advances on her when he finds out she's lesbian. Even before that, he openly supports not sharing beds during the [[spoiler:Chapter 4 motive]], so he does have some standards.
* ClassyCravat: Wears one in the ballroom.
* ColorMotif: Yellow. [[spoiler:Even the poison he uses to kill Naomi has a yellow tinge to it.]]
* ADateWithRosiePalms: [[spoiler:After the third trial, Yutaka engages in a lengthy session of this.]]
* [[spoiler:TheDogWasTheMastermind: Who expected The Casanova to be the Big Bad?]]
* [[spoiler:EvenEvilHasStandards: He might have masterminded two killing games, but even Yutaka draws the line at what Ionatan did (i.e. tampering with a suicide victim's crime scene, making a motive more miserable by shutting off everyone's water, and just generally being a jerk)]].
* EvenTheGuysWantHim: Saki certainly finds him attractive, even after the sexual part of their relationship fizzles completely. Raima agrees.
* ExperimentedInCollege: Well, Experimenting in High School, but the trope is still there.
* FauxAffablyEvil: Seems friendly at first, but is more than willing to punch you until you submit to him. [[spoiler:And come Chapter 6, it turns out he's the one who orchestrated the killing game.]]
* FlowerMotifs: Introduces himself to people by sizing them up and giving them these in the form of a bouquet. Sometimes a compliment, sometimes a Stealth Insult.
* [[spoiler:FinalSolution: Wants to exterminate all the Ultimates and take Hope's Peak with it.]]
* [[spoiler:FoulFlower: Leaves one of these behind after his execution.]]
* GagPenis: A few one-off jokes are made about the size of his "gardening hose".
* GotMeDoingIt: Miho inherits his sultry tone of voice as they grow closer in Chapter 5.
* HorrifyingTheHorror: Miho's graphic description of her favorite execution method manages to shock even [[spoiler:the mastermind of two killing games.]]
* [[spoiler:HumansAreInsects: "Humans are plants", but it still sort of applies.]]
* Hunk: 6 feet tall, check. Muscular, check. Mr. Fanservice? Double check.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: For all the insults Yutaka slings around, he still feels sympathy for Masato in his own gruff way.
** [[spoiler:Turns out he masterminded two killing games with the intent to kill every Ultimate, which means his sympathy amounts to jack squat.]]
* JustJokingJustification: Does this occasionally, when he says something meant to offend.
* LoveInterest: To Sasori for a while, then to Miho.
* LovableSexManiac: Downplayed when compared to Saki then Subverted as [[spoiler:he's the most heinous member of the cast.]]
* MadeOfIron: Stabbed three times, once in the gut and twice in the arm, by Miho in Chapter 3. He's 100% fine by Chapter 4.
* MakeAnExampleOfThem: Attempts to beat Miho into submission at the start of Chapter 3. [[spoiler:This fails as he didn't take into account the scissors hidden up Miho's sleeve, and winds up getting stabbed several times as a result.]]
* MasochistsMeal: Swallows a Carolina Reaper pepper whole during Truth or Dare. It's implied this sort of thing is common with him.
* MeaningfulAppearance: After Chapter 3, he sports noticeable scars after his fight with Miho. Said scars are only on the left side of his body. Now, what other character's left side is significantly more intimidating than his right?
* MrFanservice: Tall, muscular, and often seen at the pool, in the hot springs, or otherwise near-naked.
* TheNicknamer: Occasionally calls Miho "Justice Bitch" for her Seryu-like personality and Ionatan "Pillsbury Doughboy" for his Gonkish appearance. In the final trial, he calls Tsubaki "Poison Ivy" and Miles "Mastermiles".
* ObfuscatingStupidity: For a skirt-chasing gardener, he's far better at planning than he looks. [[spoiler:The fact that he's the mastermind might have something to do with that.]]
* [[spoiler:PaintingTheMedium: When exposed as the mastermind, he starts speaking in a menacing, spiky font to match his changed demeanor.]]
* RedBaron: "The Enchanter", given to him by Raima.
* ReformedBully: Claims to have been quite the hellion in elementary school. [[spoiler:This turns out to be Inverted, as it turns out his real personality is far, far worse than a schoolyard bully.]]
* SirSwearsALot: The most foul-mouthed of anyone on the ship, especially when he's riled up.
* SophisticatedAsHell: [[spoiler:"Look on my works, ye fuckers, and despair" anyone?]]
* TakeThat: When he learns about everyone Miho executed, Yutaka wonders whether his country has become as violent as America. Later on, he asks Miles whether he's stupid enough to believe "collusion is not a crime".
* TheTease: Flirts with many members of the female cast, and during his fling with Saki in Chapter 1, he'd often perform stripteases for him. [[spoiler:Later taken Up To Eleven in Chapter 5, when he somehow seduces the fourth wall.]]
* TermsOfEndangerment: Whenever he calls Miho "Mimi" or Saki "Saki-chan", it's never a good sign.
* TrueArtIsIncomprehensible: Has a rather dim view of this, if his reaction to [[spoiler:Vera's execution]] is any indication. ("I've heard of modern art sucking before, but this...")
* [[spoiler:UnreliableExpositor: Attempts to use a similar speech to Junko's to break the survivors when revealed as the mastermind, but it's all bunk.]]
* [[spoiler:WalkingSpoiler: As the mastermind of not one, but TWO killing games, this trope is in full effect.]]
* WouldHitAGirl: Sees no problem with attacking Miho in Chapter 3.

!!!Miho Fukui - Ultimate Executioner

The executioner of justice, Miho Fukui is the Ultimate Executioner. A teenage girl who prides herself on her kill count and sense of justice, she strictly abides to her own sense of morality and will fight anyone who tries to tell her otherwise.
----
* AGodAmI: Even though she finds the idea of religion ridiculous, Miho has a larger-than-life God Complex. She believes people can only be judged through her eyes, and only she has the right to take lives away.
* ActionGirl: She isn't the Ultimate Executioner for a reason.
* AllCrimesAreEqual: She is a strong believer in the law, and even accuses liars of deserving death. The law is the God everybody needs to follow.
* BlackAndWhiteInsanity: People are either heroes or tremendously evil beings who deserve death. Nothing in between.
* CuteAndPsycho: Self explanatory. Her appearance, which some find to be attractive, is nothing compared to Miho when she thinks about executions.
* DarkMistress: [[spoiler:Though only having sexual relations with Yutaka, not romantic, she seems to be his 'sidekick' throughout the fifth chapter. She beats others at his command, as well as sticks around him through most of the chapter.]]
* EarnYourTitle: Miho earns the nickname "Justice Bitch" after her actions in the first chapter of Shipwreck.
* ImADoctorNotAPlaceholder: "I'm an executioner, not a murderer."
* JudgeJuryAndExecutioner: As mentioned before, she believes that only she can judge people in her eyes. She is the one who decides whether people get to live or not.
* LoveInterest: Oh boy, she has a lot. Koharu, Masato, Saki, and Yutaka.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Miho has red eyes.
* Tsundere: She can be called this.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: Though her sense of justice is twisted beyond repair, and despite the fact that she believes all criminals deserve death, her intentions go a lot deeper than just her being crazy and bloodthirsty. Miho wants to make the world pure, make it a better place.
* WhiteHairBlackHeart: Come in hand when it comes to her appearance. Her appearance is an automatic red flag, she isn't what she seems.

[[folder:TsubakiKimura]]
* ActionGirl: She isn't willing to back down from a challenge.
* AppropriatedAppellation: “Poison Ivy”, given to her by Yutaka in the final trial.
* DefrostingIceQueen: She goes from being withdrawn and testy at the start to slowly making friends with Dakota and Yutaka [[spoiler:to feeling guilt over causing Ionatan's execution]] [[spoiler:to cheering in excitement at Yutaka's execution and dancing around the ship.]]
* INeverSaidItWasPoison: [[spoiler:Attempts to get Yutaka to slip one of these in the final trial, trying to prove that he knew Miyuki. She fails.]]
* RedEyesTakeWarning: A toxicologist who's more than likely to snap at you if you get in her way. Ultimately subverted at the end, as her intentions are pure and she does not hurt a fly throughout the entire cruise.
* SorryImGay: A genuine example. She uses this to shut down Yutaka.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: A dark shade similar to Itsuki’s, though less muted, so to speak.

* Adorkable: She is usually known to be very happy and energetic, if not childish.
* GenkiGirl: She is very upbeat and happy.
* HeroicSacrifice: She was willing to [[spoiler:kill herself in order to hopefully allow everyone to survive in her place and stop the killing game. It was sadly foreshadowed by Ionatan tampering with the crime scene.]]
* [[spoiler:KillTheCutie: Oops.]]
* NiceGirl: She's one of the nicer characters in the series.
* TheCutie: Always clings to Hayato and Miho.
* ThePowerOfFriendship: Koharu is all for this, if only everyone listened to her and followed her value.
* TooGoodForThisSinfulEarth: [[spoiler:There was a reason why she died, and that's because she thought it would help the others.]]
* [[spoiler:SympatheticMurderer: Her first case.]]
* WideEyedIdealist: She never sees anyone in a bad light.
