* TheUmbridge: Selwick's aunt, Sollarania, became Faerieland's new manager during Cup IX. She has been allegedly overtraining her players. Initially, they did fairly well, but the results were shown as inefficient at its best. Could eventually become a BaitandSwitchTyrant, if CharacterDevelopment rolls on.

Altador Cup: Tumblr Edition is a blog-based roleplay that began in 2013. It follows the adventures of current and former Yooyuball players as they fight for the Cup. In addition to blogging about their experiences, the players have many interactions offline ranging from mundane to supernatural.

As of 2019, no trace of the roleplay can be found.

!!Altador Cup: Tumblr Edition contains examples of:

* AntiVillain: Filo Desenz genuinely does believe his actions are justified and for the better of Team Maraqua.
%%* BadassBookworm: A number of characters could qualify.
* BerserkButton:
** Don't misspell Teylore Nix's name as 'Teylore.' It's one of the few things that can set him off.
** Don't make a Xana De Lanche joke.
** Tormo has a few of these: Don't imply he can't do something because of his stature, don't hurt his friends, and, for the love of Darigan, DON'T MESS WITH HIS GOALIE.
* BlackWidow: Chelo Binay has been through her fare share of husbands throughout her long life, and is implied to have killed at least a few of them.
* BrainlessBeauty: Many characters find Rinok Fitel to be very attractive, though his intelligence leaves much to be desired.
* ButtMonkey:
** Larcy Phu, practically to CosmicPlaything extents. He's trying to change his ways so karma doesn't attack him as often, but it seems to be deeply infatuated with the Grundo, anyways. Must be the mustache.
** Teylor Nix. He has a tendency to to find himself the target of many derogatory insults and gets caught in humiliating situations quite often.
** Xana [=DiLanche=] is pretty well-liked, but is the butt of a lot of "Xana de lanche" and "accordion" jokes. Her name means something dirty in Portuguese, and her official artwork shows her being very tall, while the art when a goal is scored on her uses optical illusion to make her look frighteningly short in comparison.
** Elon and Montecito are hated by a lot of the players for their more aggressive personalities, thus getting bashed many times by the other players, and receiving a higher number of trolling and magic anons.
** Rinok Fitel is often made fun of and gets hit with snide commentary from the other players very frequently, as everyone generally regards him as an idiot.
%%* CampGay: Wan Dirx seems to fit that trope fairly well.
* CannotTellAJoke: If there's something Elon Hughlis cannot do even if he tries his hardest, is to say a joke.
* CastFullOfGay: LGBT has a rather strong representation in the cast. In fact, it's actually easier to list who isn't queer in some way or another.
* ChessmasterSidekick: Barit pretty much covers for everything that Elon fails at as a captain, but wouldn't want to work under anyone else.
%%* ChildhoodFriends: Elon Hughlis and Barit Jowes, "Poke" Cellers and Ditan Colb, and the entirety of Terror Mountain's first formation would count for this trope.
%%* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: It happens to quite a few original characters.
%%* ComicallyMissingThePoint: Sometimes, it happens to cringe-worthy levels.
%%* ConspiracyTheorist:
%%** Rinok claims to be one.
%%** Selwick started out this way, too, and still enjoys stuff like book analysis.
%%* CoolOldLady: Ethel Boortz.
%%* CreepyGood: Arguably, everyone on Team Haunted Woods would count, but Crade Talvos fits the trope to saccharine levels.
%%* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: A number of characters could also qualify, evidently enough.
%%* CuteBruiser: Some of the players could qualify
%%* DisappearedDad: A lot of players apply to this trope.
* TheDitz: Bertie. Let's just say she's not very bright and very impulsive!
%%** Rinok Fitel, though occasionally he may also show signs of GeniusDitz when it comes to certain topics.
* EmbarrassingMiddleName:
** Elon Hughlis.
** Selwick Phoss and Jurin Takara. It's interesting to observe that both are distant cousins through their unfortunate-named families.
* EmbarrassingNickname: Elon has many, like "Elope", "Hug", "Melon", and "Shorty McShortshorts".
%%** Bertie gives these to EVERYONE.
* FeigningIntelligence: "Spikes" Barmie likes to pretend he's well-cultured when he doesn't appear to be all that smart. Though, this persona may very well be his way to market himself into the fashion industry.
%%* FictionalSport: Yooyuball.
%%* FunctionalAddict: Wan Dirx, though that kind of depends on one's definition of 'functional.'
%%* GenderBender: If it happens in canon, it happens in this RP as well. Unless Magic Anons or plot shenanigans happen, of course.
* GeniusBruiser: Harlis Neyhbol may be huge, but he also has a degree in Psychology and is readily available to diagnose some of the less stable players.
%%* GentleGiant: Some of the more "muscular" characters certainly apply to this trope.
%%* HappilyMarried: "Trapper" Remis and his wife, Phoena.
* InexplicablyIdenticalIndividuals: In this roleplay, instead of being a single blue Techo, the Techo Fanatic is, in reality, eighteen siblings who look identical, only differing in personality and team.
%%* HotBlooded: Pretty much the most accurate way to describe Rinok Fitel.
%%* LargeHam: Quite a bit of characters apply to this trope.
%%* LemonyNarrator: Some roleplayers can describe their characters' actions in a rather... Interesting way. In fact, fourth wall breaking does occasionally happen.
* LivingForeverIsAwesome: Chelo Binay's outlook on her life is generally very cheery, to the point that she doesn't quite understand why others wouldn't want to be immortal.
* LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters: Each of the eighteen teams is represented by at least one character, in addition to a number of original characters.
%%* LovableJock: Many of the players. Pretty much everyone to at least some people except the villains.
* LoveTriangle:
** VERY early on in Altador Cup VIII there was one involving Larcy, Kep, and Tormo, and a while later another with Mirsha, Larcy, and Timu. Fun times, huh?
** Keetra and Sela are in a committed relationship, and Derlyn had a crush on Sela. It gets complicated when it turns out that Keetra has a crush on Derlyn.
** Another attempt at a love triangle between Mirsha, Larcy, and Timu may be here. Larcy likes Timu, but he thinks Timu likes Mirsha. Mirsha admits that Timu isn't her type, though.
* ManipulativeBastard: Reb and Montecito have been using anonymous messages to incite conflict within other teams. They've had mixed success.
%%** Filo, to Oten Runeu; the kicker being that he doesn't realize it.
%%* ManlyGay: Krell Vitor, even though he's actually bi.
* MarriedToTheJob: Elon Hughlis, to the point that he even states '[his] only love is yooyuball.'
%%* NiceGuy: Quite a bit of characters fall into this trope.
%%* NotCheatingUnlessYouGetCaught: Team Brightvale apply to this trope.
%%* ObliviouslyEvil: WordOfGod claims that Montecito is an example of that.
* OnlySaneMan: Osielle Lidel is one of the few characters who don't seem to have some sort of weird quirk about them, and often shoots down anything that sounds overly absurd or ridiculous.
* PluckyComicRelief:
** Teylor Nix, he constantly stays upbeat and jokes around quite a bit- even when other players voice their dislike of him.
** Bertie Shurtz, too, (Mystery Island is just a jokey team I guess?) usually making horrible jokes, keeping energy up, and sometimes parodies hot-blooded anime protagonists. Nobody really takes her seriously, although she does get into fights sometimes.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: Chelo Binay must be at least around a century old, but doesn't look a day over her mid-fifties.
%%* Retcon: To be expected, since some roleplayers may have a tendency to rethink how they want to portray their characters.
%%* SecondLawOfGenderBending: Subverted by "Poke" Cellers and completely averted by Erli Quinnock.
%%* SeeminglyProfoundFool: Jurin tends to fit this trope to a T.
* ShrinkingViolet: Timu, to a certain extent. She has her moments of bravery, but she's mostly a stuttering, shy lass who'd rather not see any conflicts whatsoever.
* TheSpeechless:
** Jurin is unable to speak offline.
** And so is Kayn. His voicebox became defective after being used for such a long while.
* SupremeChef: Filo is aiming to become this. He's mostly successful. He was also the TeamChef back when he played for Maraqua, but his former teammates seem to be lukewarm about his cooking at best.
%%* StalkerWithACrush: Shenkuu's techo fanatic to Larcy.
%%* TalkLikeAPirate: All players who hail from Krawk Island would count, to varying extents.
%%* TeamDad:
%%** What "Poke" is now to Kiko Lake.
%%** Osielle for Terror Mountain.
%%* TeamMom:
%%** Prytariel, for Terror Mountain.
%%** Also, Nitri Cassale, to Krawk Island.
%%** "Poke" Cellars was this to Kiko Lake before the gender change incident.
%%* TomboyWithAGirlyStreak: Ciona Broan.
* TrueCompanions: It's rare for a character to get attacked/insulted and not have at least one teammate come to their defense. Unless said teammates are the ones doing the insulting.
* UnfortunateNames:
** Xana Dilanche. The poor Lutari can't get a break.
** Jair Tollet's surname is known for its similarity to the word 'toilet'.
%%* VitriolicBestBuds: Teylor and Bertie could qualify.

Tropes specific to the 2013 AC season.
%%* TheAlcoholic: As much as Tormo denied it, he was pretty much this in the off-season.
* CoolBike: Wan Dirx and Krell Vitor's preferred method of transportation around the Haunted Woods was a light pink scooter.
* HellHotel: The hotel where the players are staying at becomes this after Montecito tricks Oten into reading the Necronomicon.
%%* LostOrphanedRoyalty: Larcy was one of these. But thankfully, Retcon happened.
* ThePeepingTom: Autrey Fulse was kicked off team Haunted Woods for using his ghosty powers to spy on nearly every girl in the cup, among other things.
%%* PungeonMaster: Lilo Blumario, dear Fyora, Lilo Blumario.
%%* ValleyGirl: Wila Benne was, like, totally supposed to be one of these.
* Yandere: Lyvon Cibaire for Foltaggio, though they weren't dating. He sent horrible anons to Derlyn, Foltaggio's girlfriend at the time, to try and get her to commit suicide so he could have Foltaggio to himself.

Tropes specific to the 2014 AC season.
* AmusingInjuries: Teylor Nix has been a victim of tumbling down a flight of stairs and falling two stories high in the most comedic fashions possible. It never really affected him, though.
* FatalFlaw: Derlyn demands apologies whenever she feels greatly wronged. It has nearly caused her FaceHeelTurn at least once.
%%* FieryRedhead: Both Derlyn and Lauretana (Team Kreludor's team captain and manager respectively) both fit, but when the situation calls for it, Lauretana can calm down. On the other hand, Derlyn isn't as capable of doing that.
%%* GoingColdTurkey: Tormo is attempting to do this after falling OffTheWagon one night at Remis and Phoena's home. It is yet to be seen how this will affect him.
* TookALevelInKindness: Though Elon Hughlis is still a jerk, he's certainly calmed down a bit after his constant shoutfests from the last season.
