* BizarroEpisode: There's a gag where Quick and Flupke are angels who hop and dance around to celebrate a new Spring. Then Agent 15 joins them and the gag ends. There's also no dialogue in this entire gag and this set-up is never repeated again.

* TimeMarchesOn: The entire atmosphere of the stories is very much based in the 1930s. The cars, telephones, radios, and the police uniforms, are obviously dated nowadays.
* TrainProblem: Flupke has to solve a math problem about two trains leaving different stations and he must answer at what time they'll meet close to one another. Flupke then ask his uncle who works at a train station, but he couldn't find the answer. Both of them take the matter to the Ministry of transport who couldn't resolve the problem either. [[MundaneSolution Finally, everyone all hop on a train and closely watch the time when the other train will come close-by]].

This trope is for characters who don't have canon name at all. Shout Out is for references in the Quick and Flupke comics, not reference to Quick and Flupke in other works.

** Quick and Flupke have cameos in the Tintin albums ''[[Recap/TintinInTheCongo Tintin in the Congo]]'', where they are present when Tintin leaves in the harbour. They again appear when Tintin and his crew are about to set sail in the harbour in ''The Shooting Star''.
** ComicBook/SpirouAndFantasio: In the album ''Le Groom Vert-de-Gris'', a re-imagination of ''Spirou'' set in Brussels during the Nazi occupation of 1942, Quick and Flupke are seen being chased by Agent 15.
