* AmbiguouslyRelated: Going beyond the obvious species connection, Eunie notes when meeting [[spoiler:the real Queen Melia that they both have extremely similar and unique-looking headwings, in contrast to the ones most other High Entia have, and Melia's Ascension Quest does have major moments of them bonding together]]. Her Nostalgia costume is also based off Melia's in a way that, similar to Sena and Mio, could either be a nod at their overall inspirations, or hint at an actual biological relation between the two. At the same time, unlike with [[spoiler:Nia]], it's never mentioned whether [[spoiler:Melia took on a consort or had children at some point before the start of the game, and her interactions with Eunie do not have any overt nods to them having had some kind of special relationship in the Bionis]].

* {{Expy}}: Of Fei Fong Wong from ''VideoGame/{{Xenogears}}'', as they are both ponytailed {{Reluctant Warrior}}s who seek to end a destructive war by uncovering its enigmatic origins. Noah's [[FusionDance Ouroboros]] form is also based on Fei's [[HumongousMecha gear]] Weltall, and he shares a name with the protagonist of the prototype version of ''Xenogears'' that went on to become Fei. He also incorporates some aspects of latter [[RecurringElement Uzuki archetypes]], especially [[VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles1 Dunban]] and [[VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles2 Jin]] (who is also indirectly a Fei {{Expy}} by way of Lacan) [[spoiler:due to his connection with N, a more direct Jin {{Expy}}]].

* MercurysWings: Has short wings on her head like other High Entia (though modern High Entia seem to mature at a regular human rate unlike their ancestors). It's theorized by Namuki during the Research Procedures quest that these wings are what give her and people like her (i.e. High Entia) such fine control over ether.

* AceCustom: His Veiled Sword is mostly the same model as a generic Kevesi sword, but is customized by Riku to hide Lucky Seven inside. Late in the game, it can be customized ''again'' by the Legendary Nopon into the more elaborate Truthsinger.

* TokenHuman: Noah is the only [[AmbiguouslyHuman human-looking]] character in his initial Kevesi group. Eunie is a [[WingedHumanoid High Entia]], and Lanz and Mwamba are [[MechanicalLifeForms Machina]]. [[{{Downplayed}} However]], he's a Homs, which the [[VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles1 first game]] established as being slightly different to humans because they rely on [[{{Mana}} Ether]] to survive).

He fights anyway, since he knows that defeating Moebius is the only way to achieve this peace. [[spoiler:it’s part of the reason why [[SymbolicWeaponDiscarding he throws the Lucky 7 into the ocean at the end of the game]], since, with Moebius gone, their chances of peace are much higher.]]

* InterspeciesRomance: Noah is a Homs, and Mio is a a [[CatFolk Gormotti]], yet they love each other greatly, and will do anything just to be with each other. [[DownplayedTrope Downplayed]] in that neither are really aware that they belong to different species entirely; distinctive features of Homs, Gormotti, High Entia, Flesh/Blade Eaters, Machina, and Blades are an UnusuallyUninterestingSight to all of Aionios, so these "interspecies" aspect of their relationship is never really touched upon. Even the [[spoiler:great-grandchildren of their previous incarnations have these distinct differences (Matthew looking like a regular Homs and Doyle having Gormotti ears) and yet despite being siblings, it's never portrayed as being anything out of the ordinary.]]

* TallDarkAndSnarky: The second tallest party member after Lanz, and highly respected by his Agnus peers for his intelligence and thoughtfulness, but also very snarky and constantly feels like he's SurroundedByIdiots.

* TheBigGuy: He is the largest and the most muscular party member.

* LongHairedPrettyBoy: He sports a prominent SamuraiPonytail unlike Shuck and Rex, has a slender build, and also has the soft features to match.

* HeelRealization: Gets very upset over how close he came to [[spoiler:repeating N's fate and choosing the Endless Now when faced with losing Mio forever]]. [[spoiler:This later allows him to accept N as part of himself despite the latter's previous actions.]]

* LikeParentLikeChild: [[spoiler:''Maybe''. While there are strong implications that Mio is Nia's daughter, Mio doesn't act much like her. She does, however, sometimes act quite a lot like ''Rex'', being an idealist not afraid to fight for what is right. If Mio is Nia's daughter, then Rex would be her father. There are a few moments (especially when talking to Nia) that Mio almost quotes some of Rex's lines from ''2''.]]

* TangledFamilyTree: With ''Future Redeemed'' revealing that [[spoiler:N and M are the original Vandhams, this... completely messes up their lineage. It’'s pretty straightforward at first: Ghondor is N and M's son, Ghondor is Matthew and Na'el's grandfather, Guernica is Matthew's descendant, and then Monica and Ghondor are Guernica's daughter and granddaughter respectively. However, Noah and Mio are parts of N and M, thus still technically being the same people, though Noah and Mio were born centuries after their original "parts." However, since they are only 18 and 19 biological years old respectively (9 and 10 on a technicality level respectively), this means that the two of them are actually ''younger'' than their ''descendants''!]] And ''that's'' not even getting into all the AmbiguouslyRelated stuff they've got going on.

* ItIsBeyondSaving: An interesting variation in that him coming to this conclusion regarding Aionios is unambiguously a good thing. While the ability to destroy Flame Clocks initially gives Noah some hope that he can make people's lives better by removing the need for fighting and helping them survive without the support from their Queens, he gradually realizes that Aionios's cycle affects everyone in ways he cannot fix by just freeing colonies and beating up Moebius mooks, [[spoiler:and that the only correct choice is to let the world end and hope for the best. Of course, Aionios was technically never meant to exist in the first place]].
