Hollypaw(leaf) is the nicest for the three due to her courageousness and undying loyalty to the Warrior Code [[spoiler: until she finds out that Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw are not her real parents]]. Jaypaw(feather) is the meanest of the three due to being the most sarcastic and rude out of the three. This leaves Lionpaw(blaze) in the middle. While he's not as overly loyal as the former, he's not as mean as the latter.

* NiceMeanAndInBetween: The prophesied three for the few books are this. Hollypaw(leaf) is the nicest for the three due to her courageousness and undying loyalty to the Warrior Code [[spoiler: until she finds out that Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw are not her real parents]]. * DarkChick: Of the [[spoiler:Dark Forest, although she keeps a lot of her true (relative) quirkiness hidden in order to facilitate her spying.]]

* OutDamnedSpot: It's mentioned in ''Sunrise'' that [[spoiler:she can still taste Ashfur's blood in her mouth.]]

* TangledFamilyTree: Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Hollyleaf are the adoptive children of Squirrelflight and Bramblestar (actually their aunt and uncle). Their foster parents later have biological kits of their own, Sparkpelt and Alderheart, making the five of them simultaneously cousins and foster siblings.

* TheMentor: To Ivypool, her eventual "daughter-in-law". She also mentored Finchpaw.

* UpToEleven: In ''The Last Hope'', [[spoiler:she puts her powers into overdrive, letting her see the Dark Forest.]]

* AdultFear: [[spoiler:She's constantly worried for her son thanks to his seizure visions. Then we have Shadowsight being manipulated by BigBad Ashfur, cats hating him for his role in everything, wishing him dead and finally having Shadowsight travel into the Dark Forest to try and help save everyone.]]

* AdultFear: [[spoiler:She goes through this in ''The Place of No Stars'' when her daughter Bristlefrost goes to the Dark Forest to try and save Rootspring. During ''A Light in the Mist'' Bristlefrost dies permanently destroying Ashfur's spirit, as well as her own, and Ivypool is noted to be heartbroken as there is NoBodyLeftBehind to bury and she will never get to see her daughter ever again.]]

* IncestIsRelative: The [[WordOfGod Erins]] have spoken on multiple occasions about Ivypool getting a possible mate in the future. One of the cats considered to be her mate? Foxleap, Ivypool's uncle.
** In ''Thunder and Shadow'', there's plenty of ShipTease between Ivypool and Fernsong until they eventually become mates. Fernsong's father is Lionblaze, Firestar's grandson, and Ivypool's grandfather is Cloudtail, Firestar's nephew, making Ivypool and Fernsong kin.

* OxymoronicBeing: [[spoiler:For all that she has dedicated her entire life to following the warrior code, her very existence is a violation of the code, as the daughter of a [=WindClan=] warrior and a [=ThunderClan=] medicine cat.]]

* OutnumberedSibling: She has two brothers, Jayfeather and Lionblaze.

* HeroicBSOD: Goes through one in ''The Last Hope'' when she [[spoiler:finds out that there's a Fourth cat in the prophecy. This is because she thinks that the presence of a Fourth means that she was a terrible Third and couldn't save anyone.]]
