* CardCarryingVillain: He is, at least in his inner monologue, unashamed and even proud to label himself a fascist.

The cold, merciless and despotic head of state who serves as the series' main antagonist.

* AmbiguouslyGay: There are some hints that he might actually be homosexual and completely oblivious to it. He consistently internally describes women as strange and ugly beings, while his descriptions of men become borderline erotic at times.

* PetTheDog: After Finch gets in a fight with and punches Creedy, he's surprised by how lenient and understanding Susan was about the whole thing. Susan tops it off by essentially giving Finch a holiday to try to deal with stress and pull himself together.

* SanitySlippage: He is so disconnected from other people and the world that he's slowly going mad. Early in the story he's already got bats in the belfry but is still functional. A couple of short sections throughout the story show him continuing to slip deeper and deeper into the break from reality until there's no coming back.

When he gets a tip about where V may strike, he immediately heads there himself instead of ordering his men to do it instead. Doubly so as he wasn't even on duty. And when he dies off the clock, the government uses that as a means of denying his widow any benefits she should be entitled to for him dying in action.

A former acquaintance and fellow smuggler of Allistair Harper. He picks up Evey some time after V expels her from the Shadow Gallery and eventually becomes her lover. He ends up killed by Harper shortly before V abducts Evey again.

* StreetSmart: A requirement for being involved in illegal activity. Gordon frequently knows what's going on in the street, who the important players are, and how to tell when a situation is going bad.

* DeathByIrony: Till the very last moment, [[CassandraTruth he doesn't take Evey's words seriously]], assuming it to be yet another role play of those he got addicted to.
* DirtyOldMan: He is an elderly pedophile rapist who uses his position to get away with his crimes.

* SinisterMinister: Not only is he a pedo and a rapist, he also has a gun in his Bible, and he was part of Larkhill. Clearly, he's a little bit worse than the average PedophilePriest.

* DeadlyDoctor: Delia used to be this. One of her experiments on a lesbian woman made her grow vestigial fingers from her calf.

* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: In a way, she created V. She ''thanks'' him when he shows up to kill her, feeling she deserves it for her part in the Larkhill experiments.

* SuperSoldier: Part of an experiment to create one. It [[GoneHorriblyRight Went Horribly Right]]. The experiment has given him slightly above-human endurance and cunning, and he uses this fight to the ones who made him that way. It is also evidental that the experiment has made him slightly insane as a side-effect. WordOfGod describes the mental affliction he suffers is akin to schizophrenia.

* TheAloner: He is a solipsist, he believes that only he and Fate (whom he considers to be God) are real.

* ADateWithRosiePalms: He masturbates to the Fate supercomputer.

* VillainousBreakdown: [[spoiler:He loses all semblance of sanity upon seeing that Fate has been hacked in by V.]]

* {{Jerkass}}: His EstablishingCharacterMoment is him refusing to prevent a man's mother from being shipped out to a "[[DeadlyEuphemism home]]." When the man protests that the "homes" are just a death camp for the elderly, Creedy confirms it.

* VillainousBreakdown: He desperately pleads for mercy when he sees that Harper has betrayed him. It doesn't come.

When V storms the Mouth's media headquarters, he leaves Dascombe behind dressed up as V and gagged as a decoy for the police storming the building. Those policemen promptly shoot Dascombe while V makes his escape.

* AmbiguouslyGay[=/=]AmbiguouslyBi: He acts very {{Camp}} and Almond accuses him of being gay, but Dascombe later sleeps with Rosemary, and is a top ranking official in a repressive, genocidal government which mercilessly purged its LGBTQ population.

* SparedByTheAdaptation: Supposedly... Though we never know what exactly happened to him after the revolution.

Not featured prominently either but he gets his own moment of glory upon beating Allistair Harper to death for sleeping around with his wife, something he discovers when V sends him the videotape of his wife having sex with Harper.

* SparedByTheAdaptation: Probably. Just as Dascombe's and Etheridge's, his eventual fate remains unclear in the movie.

The former commander of the concentration camp Larkhill, today he acts as "The Voice Of Fate", a radio program that passes off as Fate's actual voice to relate the various happenings of the country and give the news flash to the population.

* CruelMercy: [[spoiler:Instead of killing him, V uses mental torture to render him incurably insane.]] Averted in the movie, where Lewis was simply forced to take poison.

Blaming Norsefire for having taken away her husband and her happiness, she decides to murder Commander Susan herself and shoots him in the head when he greets her without even recognizing her. She was probably killed afterwards but is only shown being battered by the Fingermen.

* BreakTheCutie Her entire story arc is this happening until it drives her [[TheDogBitesBack to strike back]].

[[ManipulativeBitch Manipulative]], fairly attractive, and extremely shrewd, she uses bribery and sex to get men to do her bidding and is pretty good at it. Still all her plans go awry as V understands her intentions and sends a videotape of her screwing Allistair Harper to Conrad. Conrad Heyer responds by attacking and killing Harper, but is badly wounded himself in the process. Furious at the destruction of her plans, she leaves her husband to die, showing her true colours. The end of the comics show that she is reduced to living in the street and bartering sex for food and other survival necessities.

* HypercompetentSidekick: He's the one who figures out the Larkhill connection, and also realizes that V is [[spoiler: controlling Fate.]]

* MalevolentMaskedMen: "Malevolent" is slightly downplayed, but Masked Man is the very definition of V.

* NaiveEverygirl: She's a little unaware of just how corrupt the goverment is.

* MachineWorship: In the comics, the Fate supercomputer is the only thing he truly loves. Mixes elements of CargoShip and {{Robosexual}} in with the worship.

All of the high level members of the government present know that it amounts to a forceful takeover of the government. [[spoiler:And only Helen Heyer knows that Creedy's private side army of thugs and criminals is about to turn on him]].

After taking Evey in and raising her as an heiress, [[spoiler: V meets his fate at the hands of Eric Finch (Peter Creedy in the film) and [[DiedInYourArmsTonight dies in the arms of Evey]], leaving her with some last words and instructions, making her swear to never see his face but to understand what he stood for.]]

Still [[spoiler: all her plans go awry as V understands her intentions and sends a videotape of her screwing Allistair Harper to Conrad. Conrad Heyer responds by attacking and killing Harper, but is badly wounded himself in the process. Furious at the destruction of her plans, she leaves her husband to die, showing her true colours. The end of the comics show that she is reduced to living in the street and bartering sex for food and other survival necessities]].

She was actually [[spoiler: V's next door cellmate and sent him a letter written on toilet paper explaining her life and why she was sent to the camp with him. Avenging her is V's main motivation.]] She was subjected to the same human experiments as V, but didn't survive it.
