A teenager who was used by sorcerer Fei-Wang Reed to create C!Syaoran. As a descendant from the sorcerer Clow Reed, Syaoran was able to seal part of his "heart" within his clone, meant to be manipulated by Fei-Wang, allowing the clone to grow a personality. Once Syaoran escapes from the prison and his clone betrays his friends, he joins the group of Kurogane, Fai, Mokona and Sakura as he wishes to recover something he lost, later revealing he wished to find the original Sakura. In the series' ending he becomes the son of C!Syaoran and C!Sakura due to a stable time loop but loses his bonds with them after the loop is broken, thus becoming a paradox himself.

* ChildhoodFriendRomance: With R!Sakura. They first met when they were seven years old; Syaoran quickly fell in love with her and swore to protect her. Syaoran decided to never return to his original world to stay in Clow Country and spent the next 7 years afterwards searching for a way to save Sakura from Fei-Wang's curse.

* OneSteveLimit: Averted, his and R!Sakura's real names are both Tsubasa.

* ParadoxPerson: R!Syaoran is a living, breathing time paradox, as he's the son of his own clone. It's implied that the timestream was desperately trying to hold itself together, resulting in a few {{Stable Time Loop}}s to patch up other paradoxes, resulting in R!Syaoran's existence. When everything is sorted out in the end and the multiverse is repaired, C!Syaoran and C!Sakura are [[RetGone Ret Gonned]] from existence, and R!Syaoran almost ceases to exist because if his clone never existed, then neither could he, and he only ever really existed in the first place because he went and [[RealityBreakingParadox broke causality]]. To pay for the repairs, R!Syaoran exchanges his ability to stay in one world for very long for his right to continue existing.

* SupportingProtagonist: At first since there was little known about this and the story was more focused on C!Sakura. Later he becomes the main character when his objective is revealed.

Once Syaoran escapes from the prison and his clone betrays his friends, he joins the group of Kurogane, Fai, Mokona and Sakura as he wishes to recover something he lost, later revealing he wished to find the original Sakura. In the series' ending he becomes the son of C!Syaoran and C!Sakura due to a stable time loop but loses his bonds with them after the loop is broken, thus becoming a paradox himself.
