* SugaryMalice: She acts in the most [[TastesLikeDiabetes teeth-achingly saccharine]] "nice vet" you can imagine. Scratch the surface, and you have a selfish, self-righteous little bitch who is more than willing to force others to go through trauma she herself refuses to undergo.

* MistakenForProstitute: The central plot point of [[Recap/TriptychContinuumTwilightsEscortService Twilight's Escort Service]]: Twilight attempts to open a business where she will teleport ponies where they want to go for money.[[note]]She's trying to raise money for a book after spending all her spare bits on the official government license which allows her to teleport with passengers.[[/note]] But the advertising flyers she creates use ambiguous wording, with so many {{AccidentalInnuendo}}s present as to make many ponies conclude she's advertising her freshly-acquired license to serve as ''another'' kind of escort.
** To be fair, the wording was ''[[Funny/TriptychContinuum really]]'' ambiguous.

* [[GagBoobs GagTail]]: In [[Fanfic/AnchorFoal Anchor Foal]], Discord learns that in the context of harem novels, mares with [[SecondarySexualCharacteristics big, full tails]], like Fluttershy, are relegated to [[MaleGaze eye candy]] and [[GagBoobs fodder for sex jokes]]. Considering [[MoralityChain the very premise of the story]], he's not exactly happy about this, and decides to find out what happens when such a pony turns out to be the ''protagonist''.

* YouAreNotMyFather: Lyra is legally divorced from her parents and quite vocally considers Bon-Bon the only family that she has.

* YouAreNotMyFather: In stark contrast to her canon self, ''this'' Pinkie wants absolutely '''nothing''' to do with her father, mother ''or'' sisters. It's not explicitly stated that she despises them for their abuse, but it's a basic fact that she considers the Cakes to be her "real" family.

** As one of the more detail-oriented ponies in the group, she can be quick to spot weaknesses. Rainbow's experimentation with [[http://www.fimfiction.net/story/331677/rainbow-splash water balloon pranks]] ends after Rarity points out that the average unicorn, if attacked in the more conventional pegasus instant-soaking manner, would have difficulty in grasping a cloud. The dye-filled water balloons, however, can be rather easily [[MulticoloredHair turned against their owner]].

* {{Asexual}}: Actually seems to be more of an "Aromantic" variant: while Pinkie Pie ''has'' had sex and certainly doesn't explicitly dislike it, she may see it as a tool for IntimatePsychotherapy more than an aspect of an actual relationship. It's unclear if she has any capability for love beyond the platonic, but she's definitely not interested in sex for the sheer sake of it.
** [[WordOfGod Word Of Fanfic Author]] has Pinkie as pansexual, and [[Recap/TriptychContinuumTriptych Triptych]] saw her admit to having thought about having foals. So at the very least, she may eventually seek out some sort of long-term relationship.

* CelibateHero: Zigzagged; she ''has'' had sex (and may in fact be the only Bearer who has), but she's not after it for herself or really looking for a sexual partner, as explained under {{Asexual}} and IntimatePsychotherapy.

* NothingIsTheSameAnyMore: [[spoiler: As of the finale for ''Unstable Sales'', Apple Bloom has quit the Crusade as a fool's effort. Likewise, the trio are clearly ''not'' going to get their matching Cutie Mark Counselor marks from the canon.]]

* NotSoDifferent: There's been hints that she and Luna are a little more alike than generally shows on the surface: Celestia is very aware that she has her own pragmatic core, with both [[Recap/TriptychContinuumAMarkOfAppeal A Mark Of Appeal]] and [[Recap/TriptychContinuumTravapestry Trav(ap)est(r)y]] demonstrating what can happen when the elder's temper starts to run short.
** [[WordOfGod Word Of Fanfic Author]] is that Discord's calling her [[Recap/TriptychContinuumTriptych "the namby-pamby Grimcess"]] wasn't exactly a joke.
** In one [[AllThereInTheManual settings facts thread]], the author outright states that the biggest difference between the sisters is that Luna is the more ''openly'' pragmatic one.

* RealityEnsues: Three young fillies who keep ignoring the advice of their adults that they're doing things wrong and stubbornly stick to their own plans, despite causing havoc in the process, aren't going to be seen as cute. They're going to be seen as pests.

* TheReveal: Forms the core of his early story in [[Recap/TriptychContinuumADuetForLandAndSky A Duet For Land and Sky]]: [[spoiler: he learns he's a ''hybrid'', with an artificial infusion of earth pony essence into a pegasus body at birth. Also, he can't fly because of his training; [[RealityEnsues there's just not enough wing left to let any amount of muscle propel him into the air]]. Instead, he flies because his talent lets him mildly warp reality based on his drive to achieve something.]]

* ArchEnemy: Could be seen this way for most of Ponyville. However, she has a particularly bad relationship with the Flower Trio -- and following the events of [[Recap/TriptychContinuumFiveHundredLittleMurders Five Hundred Little Murders]], is much less than fond of Fluttershy.
* HiddenDepths: Fairly adept at wild zone survival. Also knows how to fish and prepare the results, which is a truly rare skill set in Equestria.

** Extends to her office as well. The instruments are just for show and have been used only rarely or not at all, and her stocks of medical supplies are woefully inadequate to deal with any real emergency.

* HoistByTheirOwnPetard: After Blueblood attacks and critically injures a cockatiel, Fleur calls for Sweetbark to help because Fluttershy is in no shape to do so. Sweetbark knows she can't possibly save the bird's life on her own and runs for the hills.

* {{Adorkable}}: There are still a lot of social and emotional aspects of pony life which she doesn't understand. On the good days, it's cute. On the bad ones, settled zones get turned upside-down.

** One of her favorite tricks, as depicted in "Pony Go Boom," involves sealing herself in a box rigged with explosives, blowing it up, and emerging unscathed. [[spoiler:There's almost no magic involved at all. The explosives are shaped to direct most of their force outward, the box is made of very thin wood and heavily padded inside, and Trixie wears earplus to protect her hearing. She only uses magic to levitate a bunch of matches for lighting the fuses and to project a countdown into the sky.]]

* MissingMom: [[Recap/TriptychContinuumAConfederacyOfDunceCaps Confederacy]] makes it clear that Spoiled Rich doesn't exist in the Continuum and the final chapter, added to Mr. Rich's previous thought that his daughter has [[Recap/TriptychContinuumTwilightSpackle but one parent remaining]], heavily implies that Diamond's mother is dead.

* BlackmailBackfire: How she ends up in Ponyville.
* FreudianExcuse: The narration implies that ''something'' happened in the past to make her the way she is, and it's strongly hinted to be related to how she got her mark. [[PromiscuityAfterRApe And considering the age most ponies are when their mark manifests...]]

* MySensorsIndicateYouWantToTapThat: Her trick in a nutshell. It's basicly a very limited but ''incredibly focused'' version of mind reading that lets her know what would most please someone sexually.
* PowerPerversionPotential: In this case the perversion isn't her talent itself, which in-universe is regarded as an aid to a perfectly legal profession, but what she was using it ''for'' - namely, blackmailing every single CovertPervert in high society she could get her magic on.
* PragmaticPansexuality: It's part of her job as an escort, but she takes it a bit too far (even to herself) when she was seriously considering how best to bed ''Discord'' at the start of Anchor Foal.
* SleepingTheirWayToTheTop: She used this as a cover for what she was really doing in Canterlot.
