* FriendlessBackground: She has had a hard time making friends with other girls since she was young. She says she doesn't know why, but its implied the same foreigner appearance that makes her such a novelty to boys in the present also made her the subject of ostracism by her peers growing up (much as what happened to Kousuke due to his blond hair). Tomo and Misuzu are her first successful friendships.

* KissingCousins: She has a crush on her cousin Misaki-Senpai. [[spoiler:This is later reciprocated.]] They may not be 1st cousins though, since Misaki refers to Carol as a "distant" relative.

* WardrobeMalfunction: They had to bind her chest for her role as The Prince in the school play. Apparently, it wasn't enough as they [[JustForPun busted]] out of said bindings.

* BestFriend: She is Misuzu's best friend bar none other. Much of Misuzu's story in the manga deals with her territoriality towards Tomo and the people that approach her.

* ForgivingTheAccidentalPervert: When Tomo sees Jun touching Carol's chest by accident when the former was pushed down on a stairway, she is visibly upset but takes no immediate action despite clearly being upset at the sight. However, Jun wanted to get hit anyway despite being assured Tomo knows nothing that happened was his fault and Tomo obliges, repeating as Jun twice tells her to hit him again.

* {{Bokukko}}: As a child she apparently used the very masculine pronoun "ore," which was part of Jun's confusion. In the present day, she uses the more feminine pronoun "atashi", though aside from that her speech patterns are still rather masculine.

* FearlessFool: Gorou is impressed at her "fearless, unflinching gaze"...well, she's definitely not the NervesOfSteel type.

* PerpetualSmiler: No matter what's going on her facial expression never stops being a dull-eyed smile. [[spoiler:This is what throws Misaki off, as a romantic aspect. Since she seems to go through life shrugging everything off, he's upset that he can't see her true feelings.]] She stopped smiling when [[spoiler: Misuzu suggested that Misaki sees her as a daughter of sorts, instead of a woman.]]

* AbortedArc: Earlier on, his interactions with Tomo really make it seem like he's smitten with her. This doesn't last once Carol enters the story, and thereafter he seems to just highly respect her martial arts efficacy.

* DemotedToSatelliteLoveInterest: Downplayed but after his arc with Carol was completed, he went further into the background and usually if he is brought up it is in relation to Carol.

* LadyLooksLikeADude: Played for laughs. She ''looks'' like one at first glance, to the point that the girls that first meet her think that she's a '''strikingly''' handsome boy... until they realize that this dude is rocking a healthy, plentiful bust and a sculptural body. She's so handsome that [[EvenTheGirlsWantHer some of the said girls do not let go of that crush]].

* CovertPervert: She wants to take the next step with Misaki, and have him take the initiative in skinship. When she flirtatiously requests they do something couples do and he asks if he could touch something soft of hers she assumes he wants to fondle her chest and quickly psyches herself up for it. However, when he aims for her cheeks instead of her breasts (the latter hadn't occurred to him, while he had wondered how her cheeks felt ever since they were kids) she was left sorely disappointed. She goes to a window afterward and, with her usual smile, shouts her frustration.

* BoobsOfSteel: Tomo is a strong martial artist, the strongest girl in school, and one of the most endowed girls in the comic (Carol being her only peer that is on par with her). In fact, usually, the first thing people notice about her is that she is rather stacked (that and/or her height).

At one time she's impressed that Misuzu doesn't mind her hug, only for Tomo to reveal that Misuzu doesn't like the cold weather, and doesn't mind the extra warmth. It's a RunningGag in the manga as well as her penchant for going for kisses, which Misuzu denies her too. She just loves to hug people she cares about in general too, as evidenced by how she starts hugging Tomo multiple times a day after she hears Tomo is interested in skinship, and it indicated she and her mother hug each other tight any time they reunite after being apart for even a few hours. Should she be sleeping near a friend there is a good chance she will cuddle up with them if she is able to.

* CombatPragmatist: [[spoiler: After being told by Goruo that he had to beat him if he wanted to date Tomo, he opts to sucker-punch him without warning and then brings Akemi to fluster and weaken Goruo by distracting him. Jun's plan backfires because although Gorou is flustered, he can't lose in front of his wife and immediately floors Jun.]]

* LethalChef: She has some weird ideas about food and only Jun is capable of actually stomaching them, albeit reluctantly. One of the reasons Akemi thinks that Jun is perfect for his daughter is that he is willing to indulge her in this aspect.

* CuddleBug: To her friends, though when she tries it with Misuzu, the latter doesn't quite know how to adjust to Tomo's raw strength.

* BewareTheNiceOnes: One of the kindest people in the manga, his fury is triggered by seeing Carol in what he assumed was a vulnerable state and it takes both Jun and Tomo to keep him at bay (not to mention his total change in facial expression).
