He adores doting on his one and only little brother Duo, but is always saddened by being treated as an annoyance. Knowing the darkness from before the time when Transient's appeared in Tokyo, he doesn't trust anything other than his blood-ties.

Duo is a nickname with several origins, one of which being that there are two Ds in his full name. He is surprisingly friendly toward people who treat him in a manner appropriate to his young age.

He is in reality a cloned genius, created by the masterminds of the game to serve as a back-up recorder in the event any of his Prime Genius siblings were to go off-line.

A merman, and thus good in aquatic environments, he also acts as advisor to the water polo and swim teams. He got most of this experience from having to look after the much more reckless and impulsive Kengo for most of their early childhood.

He attests that your canon kiss doesn't count, as it was [[spoiler: done to resolve an Exception]] and that he'd like to court you properly. Further attempts to flirt with him aren't exactly rebuffed, but he'd much prefer to do so when it isn't just teasing.

* ScrewDestiny: What the Protagonist sets out to do once they've decided to "win" the App Game. [[spoiler:This is completely impossible by the rules of the app; the Protagonist is closer to the king on a chess board - it's not the chess piece that wins the game, it's the person who captures it.]] This is in no way stops them trying.
