* HeroicSacrifice: Metallia sacrifices her life to bring Visco back to life. Luckily it doesn't last too long.

* LikeMotherLikeDaughter: Her personality and vocabulary are almost identical to Malia's when she was younger. [[spoiler: Her alternate and older self also has the same quiet and mature attitude Malia currently has, implying that Metallia will become more like Malia in the future after growing up more.]]

* LukeIAmYourFather: [[spoiler: It's revealed during the Bad Ending route that she's actually Visco's mother, or more specifically an alternative version of hers is Visco's mother.]]

* NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished: Metallia allows Sabina to flee and lie about her death and later tries to create a proper potion to lift Visco's curse. How does karma repay her? By having the potion fail to cure Visco's curse and having Sabina killed by Totopepe who brings her corpse before the king. These two things convince the stereotypical manipulable King that witches are not to be trusted, thus leading to Metallia's public execution and a massive witch hunt.

* PromotedToPlayable: Subverted. While Metallia does become playable in the UpdatedRerelease's Tower of Illusions as a SuperMode for the Hundred Knight, it is not the Metallia of the main story who becomes playable but an AlternateUniverse counterpart.

* ChekhovsGun: At the start of the game, Metallia mentions that she took something "small but valuable" from the Hundred Knight to seal the contract between them, leading many players to wonder what the Hundred Knight could have had in the Dark World and why it would be important enough to it to be worth stealing. This is revealed near the end of game: [[FridgeBrilliance It's the name you entered during the tutorial]].

* ExtremeOmnivore: It is an actual gameplay element for him! Much like an earlier [[VideoGame/ZettaiHeroProject NIS game]] he has an energy meter, and all actions taken will drain "giga calories". To replenish this requires you to eat food, or more commonly ANY(yes, ANY) wounded enemies. Of note is that he lacks the secondary superpower of having an absurdly fast digestive tract, you can only eat if you have room for the garbage blocks that will be added to your inventory.

** This is [[DoubleSubversion double subverted]] later when it is revealed that taking away your name as part of the contract and giving you a new one, the Hundred Knight was prevented from using its true power. Eventually, she releases the Hundred Knight by speaking the name you entered at the start of the game.

* MegatonPunch: His preferred method of destroying the Pillars of Temperance or really anything in cut scenes.

** Later, when she reveals that Malia is still alive to Metallia, she "claims" that Malia is furious about everything she's been put through, even using swear words to convince Metallia that it's really her (since she ''did'' have that attitude as a youth but lost it in adulthood, it works), but Mouse Malia is shocked by what Nezaria is saying on her behalf.

* NotQuiteDead: Arlecchino lied about having caught and cooked her, and was presumably just trying to teach Metallia a lesson or trying to keep Malia from incurring Metallia's hexing any further.

* MagicKnight: Lia is both a powerful mage and decent swordsman, compared to Metallia who, outside of a few cut scenes, generally used powerful magic. However, Metallia's has better overall mastery of magic, unlike Lia whose abilities are tailored specifically for combat.

* LikeMotherLikeDaughter: Her personality and vocabulary are almost identical to Malia's when she was younger.

* {{Jerkass}}: Easily the biggest one of the Walpurgis witches. She frequently [[KickTheDog demeans others]] and isn't too great to her niece and apprentice [[CuteWitch Lavi]] either. Though that's nothing compared to how she treats [[EmotionlessGirl Ryubence]]. She treats her like utter shit due to the contract between them and [[LivingMacguffin her being the property of the Purple Peel clan]].]] Even [[VillainProtagonist Metallia]] [[LampshadeHanging lampshades how screwed up their relationship is]].

* GenreSavvy: After Nezaria crashes Metallia's execution, Belda suggests that she set up another trap. Heintz tells Belda if Nezaria couldn't even be tricked the first time, there's no way she'll be tricked again, then scolds her for failing to trap Nezaria when she had the chance.
