While we can use redirects like Action Heroine, we're not supposed to edit trope names like that.

* {{Action Hero}}ine: Cassie is perfectly capable of defending herself and others when the time comes for it. She is a powerful witch who possesses many abilities and powers that allow her to combat or fight the enemy when it is necessary for her to do so. She has Black Magic which makes her tougher and a force to be reckoned with. Unlike her other fellow Circle members, Cassie is the one who is more likely to resort to physical violence of any kind and even kill in order to solve problems. Because of Cassie's tendency to resort to the use of violence than other more diplomatic ways, the other members of the Circle often have to stop her, primarily Adam and Diana, from going over the edge and possibly harming people.

* TheAlcoholic: Which is commented on by many people.
* DidNotGetTheGirl: He and Amelia Blake were in love, but Amelia left town with her daughter after the boatyard fire, and they were never able to be together. This is part of the reason he is an alcoholic.
* HorribleJudgeOfCharacter: Trusted Eben to only kill John Blackwell, ignoring that Eben was a witch hunter.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: He gave his power to Eben in order to allow the hunters to kill John Blackwell, trusting that he would only kill John. Eben killed half the circle, and failed to kill John. This is the other reason he is an alcoholic.
** He also realizes his failures as a father after Adam calls him out for telling Diana about the destiny, causing their breakup. This causes him to sober up.
* StarCrossedLovers: With Amelia, partly due to John Blackwell.
* YouCantFightFate: Believes in this, which is why he tells Diana that Adam and Cassie are meant to be together, resulting in her breaking up with his son.

* {{Bishonen}}: See PrettyBoy. Adam definitely has some slightly pretty facial features. Those eyes and those eyelashes...

* PrettyBoy: Adam has slightly androgynous features with pretty blue eyes and rather long, full eyelashes. Sometimes, he is often mistaken for [[{{Guyliner}} wearing mascara or eyeliner]] or both, even though he really isn't; those are just Thomas Dekker's eyelashes doing all of the talking.

* ExtraordinarilyEmpoweredGirl: Diana is a witch who possesses strong witch powers and abilities. However, just because she is powerful, strong and highly capable, Cassie is also susceptible to emotional vulnerability. Diana is a normal teenager with feelings and normal teenage problems; the fact that she is a powerful witch doesn't make everything easy for her either. In fact, it puts more pressure and responsibility onto her at such a young, fragile age.

* LoveAtFirstSight: With Adam. When Cassie first laid eyes upon Ada, she said that she felt a strong connection and pull towards him. It was a connection that she could not describe. It was so intense for Cassie that she would lose control of her magic whenever she was in Adam's presence. Interestingly enough, Adam also felt a very strong connection with Cassie. This is because it was revealed that the Conants and the Blake's are "written in the stars" and their families have always been destined to be together.

* {{Adorkable}}: Cassie has her moments of cuteness and dorkiness. She has been seen to be very idealistic, awkward and has even described herself as a loner who doesn't have that much in the way of a social life. She is seen to be shy at first and doesn't open up to others right away. However, Diana and Adam as well as the other members of the Circle help to being Cassie out of her shell and open up.
