* CharacterDevelopment: [[spoiler:Having a talk with Bella helps Lilly realizes that not only frogs are being oppressed, but also toads and newts, and that the system enforced by Andrias and other elite newts is at fault. Having stepped out of her mindset allows Lilly to reunite the Resistance.]]

* OnceDoneNeverForgotten: [[spoiler:Luz repeatedly brings up Tadpole Pond, having the image of Grime cutting off Uodeela's tail as Sasha did nothing but watch with a [[PsychoticSmirk sadistic grin]]burned into her memory.]]

** After Sasha stopped Grime from talking to prevent further tension, Lilly straight up tells her that Luz and Anne wouldn't mind she striking her down for defending Grime, as Sasha betrayed Luz and Anne said that she hated Sasha. Sasha is noticeably taken aback from this statement.

* BreakThemByTalking: Lilly gives an ArmorPiercingResponse that Anne hated her now, and that she and Luz wouldn't mind she striking her down for defending Grime. Sasha is basically speechless after hearing that.

* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Lily's Armor-Piercing Response doubles as one, calling out Amara for her attitude in "Tomato Terror".

* BerserkButton: Lilly doesn't take Amara calling her species plebeian lying down. She also doesn't like it when toads and newts say something relatively low about her frogs. [[CharacterDevelopment She does get better though.]]

* LackOfEmpathy: Belos doesn't care about ruining Sasha's personal relationships with others nor have any feelings when she kills herself to get rid of his possession, to the point that the Collector has adopted his apathy mindset.

** She has a more complicated friendship with her childhood Sasha here, who is jealous of her and Luz's relationship and also [[LoveTriangle loves her secretly]]. [[spoiler:Things get heated up when Anne says that she wants Sasha dead after what she had done to Luz, [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone causing Anne to blame herself for this real hard after returning to Earth.]]]]

* WouldHurtAChild: Emmanuel treats Sasha as an equally dangerous treat to Grime, and he's implied to be willing to put her down when necessary. {{Subverted}} later on as he doesn't realize Sasha is a child by then. When he does, he offers encouragement that it's normal to learn from the consequences of mistakes and regrets made at her age

* AdaptationalAngstUpgrade: In addition to being trapped in another world, [[{{Gayngst}} Anne struggles with her sexuality after her kiss with Luz]]. She also has a more complicated friendship with her childhood Sasha here, who is jealous of her and Luz's relationship and also [[LoveTriangle loves her secretly]].

* TragicBigot: She's implied to have low opinions of newts and toads as the two species have oppressed her and other frogs. [[spoiler:She gets out of this mindset after having a chat with Bella and work with Grime.]]

* WouldHurtAChild: Emmanuel treats Sasha as an equally dangerous treat to Grime, and he's implied to be willing to put her down when necessary.

* LikeADaughterToMe: While it's only implied in the show, Sasha explicitly says Grime is like a father to her, mainly because her real father is neglectful to her.

* DramaticallyMissingThePoint: Throughout several points in the story, Chris thinks that Sasha should be grateful for what her provided, and calls her out as being ungrateful when she runs away with others, unaware of other possible factors. In reality, what Sasha wants the most is to spending time with him, and that by finding another family only for appreciation he received, he earns Anne's disgust as he chooses to ignore his missing daughter in favor of being appreciated.

* GoAndSinNoMore: To prove herself has changed, she has to offer help to Emmanuel, the leader of the Rebellion.

* AGodIAm: On one instance, he declares himself as better god than the Guardian as he prefers gods that strike down sinners (which he thinks he's doing) rather than just watching events unfolded.

* CheatersNeverProsper: PlayedForDrama. Luz attempts to use her Calamity powers in an attempt to beat the flipwart challenge, but the second her eyes change color, she gets electrocuted and sees the opponent's Flipwart king wagging its finger and realizes it won't allow her.

* DoNotTauntCthulhu: [[spoiler:After Sasha rejects Belos and shows her fearlessness to him, [[DemonicPossession he ends up possessing her]] and leaves her a hidious scar on the right side of her face.]]

* NiceJobBreakingItHero: By making Luz to do a statement about her disappearance for solving the case, she causes Luz to have a mental breakdown, earning Camila's glare.

* GoneHorriblyRight: Melissa teaches Sasha how to use her feminine skills to take advantages of boys. She uses them and it works, on both boys, her female friends and others. This although allowing her to gain advantages, it also ruins her personal friendships as others begin to leave her for being manipulative to them.

* AdaptationalJerkass: It's heavily implied in canon that he actually cared for Sasha, appearing with his former wife to see her when the trio returned from Amphibia. Here, he's neglectful towards Sasha and decides to forget about her after getting divorced. To the point where Anne begins to depise him.

* HappinessIsMandatory: Chris takes lessons from inspirational videos and adopt the mindset that he should let go his past and focus on the present and being happiness, leaving Sasha behind in the process. It's ultimately his toxic positivity that leads Anne to despise him hard.

* MirrorCharacter: Apart from the level of destructivenss, he's one to Belos. Both are powerful men who [[WantsaPrizeforBasicDecency expects gratitude from others for doing them "good"]] and [[NeverMyFault never consider thier own problems as theirs]], instead blaming others. They end up being bad influences on Sasha.

* NeverMyFault: Chris never once consider Sasha runs away has something to do with him, instead blaming her for her actions and ungratefulnness. It's implied that he also view this way in his previous marriage.

* CanonForeigner: {{Subverted}}. In ths show, Willow has two dads, Gilbert and Harvey, but here her counterpart Lilly has a dad and a mom who has died years ago. It's still unknown whether Emmanuel is based on Gilbert or Harvey or is an original character.
