* LaserGuidedKarma: Is on the receiving end of this when [[spoiler:she attempts to get Alya expelled by setting her up to look like she cheated on a test and stole from her friends. She doesn't count on Chloe teaming up with Marinette, Felix and the others to not only prove that Alya was innocent, but that Lila teamed up with Hawkmoth.]]

* EvilIsPetty: {{Downplayed}}. While Chloe isn't ''evil'', Marinette has noted on a few occasions that Chloe still seems to be pretty mean overall. At the movie premiere, Chloe says she intends to put Kagami in her place, hinting that Chloe tried to sabotage her date with Adrien by herself.
* {{Foil}}: To Alya. Both girls do something to betray Ladybug's trust. [[spoiler:While it takes Alya a while to do so, she does eventually come around and see the error of her ways. Chloe, on the other hand, is content to continue bullying and harassing people.]]

* ReformedButRejected: Grapples with a {{Downplayed}} version of this; following the Weather Girl incident, she's tried to improve her image, but fears that others will only see Stormy Weather when they see her. A fear that [[AlphaBitch Chloe]] stomped hard on.

* ADayInTheLimelight: [[spoiler:''Counting Stars in Her Perfume Jar'' shows her learning of Alya attempting to use her for her OperationJealousy and stealing her phone, and eventually gaining Duusu.]]

* EvenEvilHasStandards: When the opportunity arises, he immediately has Nathalie [[spoiler:stop using the Peacock and switch to the Black Cat, not wanting her to risk her health any further with the broken Miraculous]]. PlayedWith, however, in that he has no problem [[spoiler:passing the Peacock on to Lila and letting ''her'' risk her health]].
* WouldHurtAChild: Not only is he willing to do whatever it takes to get the Ladybug and Black Cat away from their teenage bearers, he [[spoiler:arranges for Lila to receive the Peacock]].

* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: Has a moment of this after learning that [[spoiler:she ''successfully'' helped Hawkmoth obtain the Black Cat]].

** So far as he's concerned, having Ladybug as his 'girlfriend' matters more than dealing with the akuma or actually ''listening'' to anything she has to say that isn't what he wants to hear. [[spoiler:This ultimately costs him the Black Cat, in the worst possible way.]]
** When he sees the damage done when [[spoiler:Feline Fatale]] rampages across Paris, he's far more focused on the idea that they're [[spoiler:ruining the Black Cat's reputation]], even going so far as to [[spoiler:hold ''Plagg'' responsible for 'letting himself be used like that']].

* ItsAllMyFault: Blames herself for [[spoiler:not managing to recover the stolen Black Cat from Worker Bee]], claiming it was because she wasn't strong enough [[spoiler:to handle Hawkmoth showing up]].

* NotSoDifferent: A conversation in ''A Bottle of Exquisite Stuff'' has Marinette realize that both she and Adrien shared a fear of disappointing people. Unlike him, she has moved past that.

* NotSoDifferent:
** Proves to be just as selfish and self-absorbed as Chloe and his own father.
** Many of his tactics are also quite similar to Lila's; while his friendliness and desire for everyone to get along may be less of an act, he still attempts to ''force'' everyone to comply with his wishes, constantly [[PlayingTheVictimCard plays the victim]], and rejects the notion that his actions might have consequences, insisting that ''everybody else'' is to blame and trying to guilt-trip and shame them into compliance.

* NotSoDifferent: One of her biggest self-justifications for her actions is the belief that ''everyone'' is SecretlySelfish, no matter how much they pretend otherwise.

* NotSoDifferent: From Alya, though he doesn't recognize this.
