* PinocchioSyndrome: She doesn't quite fit in with her own kind. However, while she can't be entirely human (other than appearance), she does seem to be accepted among June's peers.

* CompressedHair: When taking a photo in the episode "Picture Day", he's revealed to have a large afro underneath his cap. He can't put it back on without some help.

* AloofOlderBrother: Is a bit of a jerk in the first two seasons, but drops it once he finds out June's secret.

June quickly rounds up her, Cordath and her lackey and banishes them for all the trouble they caused her.

June's older brother. Initially he had no clue of the magical on-goings of his house and would always be mind wiped if he stumbled upon such. However he became immune to the memory dust and was eventually let in on June's Te Xuan Ze duties, becoming an asset to her. Is said to be quite skilled in magic as his main hobby is LARP-ing and the fake magic used for it is actually based off real ones.

* CharacterDevelopment: Gets a little more responsible and actually starts studying magical lore to help June out as the series goes on, albeit slowly (he is only eight, after all.)

* HollywoodNerd: She's smart, scholastically inclined, and plays piano. She also skateboards, plays lead guitar in a rock band with her brothers, and is cute as a button.

* RapunzelHair: Juniper has long black straight hair, almost reaching her waist.

* SkunkStripe: When Jasmine starts de-aging after a troll tries to siphon her magical energy, her white stripe is shown to have been a bright lilac. We are never given a reason on why Jasmine's is different from those of June and other Te Xuan Ze.

* LockedIntoStrangeness: She developed a SkunkStripe upon becoming the Te Xuan Ze.

* SkunkStripe: An indication of her protector status. It was originally white when it appeared[[spoiler: revealed in "Adventures in Babysitting"]]; In the show's present it is a dark-pink like fuchsia (she dyes it this way).

* MulticoloredHair: Her hair appears to be either two shades of blonde or blonde mixed with a light brown. Unlike Ophelia, Jody's hair color is most likely natural.

* TheAce: Besides being the Te Xuan Ze June plays guitar in her brother's rock band, is an honor student and part of several clubs at school and seems fairly popular. She's not perfect, of course, but she's got a lot going for her.

* CoolAndUnusualPunishment: After he's defeated the first time, Thor invites him to a party so he can chill out. Loki remains grumpy till Thor reminds him it's the party or a rather painful sounding dimension. Loki picks the former.

* EmergencyTransformation: In one episode he takes a potion meant for a small giant. It winds up turning him into a dinosaur which June and Monroe don't know how to reverse. They end up having to make a homunculus body and transfer his brain into it.
