Up To Eleven is a defunct trope

* EtTuBrute: She's willing to give almost anyone a second chance, but betray that trust and it will ''not'' end well for you. She flips out at a guard Aiwei framed as a mole, and later pulls out all the stops to capture the truth seer once his betrayal is made obvious. Taken UpToEleven when Kuvira and Bataar Jr. go behind her back to reunite the Earth Kingdom, then try to forcibly seize control of Zaofu, which prompts her to try and kill Kuvira.

Added DiffLines:

* RightForTheWrongReasons: While interrogating the Metal Clan guards after Zaheer escaped Zaofu when he tried and nearly succeeded in kidnapping Korra, Lin begins to suspect that a higher ranking city official aided Zaheer in his inflitration and escape. She accused Suyin and ordered Aiwei, Suyin's truth seer and her personal advisor, to question her, who confirmed Suyin was neither responsible nor an accomplice for Zaheer's attack. They only find out later that, to their dismay, Aiwei himself was the traitor.

Outnumbered Sibiling is no longer a trope. Zero Context Examples and examples that do fit existing tropes will be deleted.

* OutnumberedSibling: She's the only girl out of five kids. Additionally, at least three of her brothers, as well as her mother are earth/metalbenders; Opal was a non-bender (along with possibly her eldest brother and her father) until Harmonic Convergence.

* DelinquentHair: In Book 4, Huan dyes his hair green.

Added DiffLines:

* NonconformistDyedHair: Suyin and her family are the wealthy, powerful, and respectable leaders of Zaofu, and all have naturally dark hair due to being (fantasy) Asian. Of her children, Huan is the most artistic and expressive; he goes from long hair with an undercut in season three to long hair with green streaks in season 4.

* GoodIsNotNice: She rather viciously tells Korra that she hasn't done anything to deserve the gala Tarrlok throws her. It's later implied that she's giving Korra a hard time because she's bitter about her former relationship with Tenzin. Later on, a major part of her attitude was due to seeing her half-sister as a disgrace to their family.

Not really hypocritical in the literal sense, I was a more personal motive when it came to Lin saving her family. Also being betrayed is a perfectly reasonable thing to not forgive. Also for Opal I was only for a few episodes and not permanent and her not forgiving Bolin immediately is understandable.

* {{Hypocrite}}: Lin doesn't take kindly to anyone disobeying her instructions, no matter what the reason and even yelled at Suyin for going behind her back and letting Korra track down Zaheer. However, Lin herself has no problem going against authority, and she even went behind the world leaders' backs by going on an unsanctioned mission to rescue her family.

** Suyin believes that everyone deserves a second chance at life regardless of their past, to the point that she hires former criminals (and is one herself) on as her personal staff...unless you betray her (or, unless she even ''feels'' that you've betrayed her) or her ideals, in which case she is bratty at best and unforgiving to the point of willing to kill you at worst.

* TookALevelInJerkass: {{Downplayed|Trope}}. While Opal's still a nice girl, she lets her hatred for Kuvira in Book 4 get the best of her, considering how mad she gets at Bolin after he starts working for Kuvira, and initially refuses his attempts at reconciliation in "Beyond the Wilds". Fortunately, at the end of the episode she seems to get over it and is ready to give him another chance, and by "Operation Beifong" she has fully forgiven him.

Added DiffLines:

* HiddenDepths: Surprisingly, childhood hidden depths that are not-so-sweet, giving it a rare twist. In ''ComicBook/TheLegendOfKorraRuinsOfTheEmpire'', [[spoiler:it's revealed that she once rejected Kuvira as a sister despite Suyin attempting to integrate her into the family, calling her a stray dog at the end.]] While she's clearly grown up since then, it adds a different kind of depth to her overall NiceGirl character.

This character is not portrayed as attractive.

* AmazonianBeauty: Outside of her armour she's shown to have an athletic build with very broad shoulders.
