* IAteWhat: His usual reaction to learning what's in whatever astoundingly dangerous concoction Sassy just gave him, usually right before the effects kick in.

* BiggerBad: He is in league with Cecil and [[spoiler: destroyed his own planet]] so as to take over Earth and make Cecil his true heir.

Lez's neighbor and nemesis. The two have been at war for years, with their fights ranging from extreme physical fights which neither of them can win due to both of their superhuman strength, shitting in each other's mailboxes and destroying each other's property.

* Expy: An extremely capable brunette bearded Scotmans who has premonitions of the future and warns others about them. Basically a bogan alien version of Desmond from "Series/Lost".

* ShoutOut: He's a pastiche of the pilot Frank Lapidus from ''Series/{{Lost}}''.

* BadassBeard: A big bushy one that could easily rival Wayne-O's.

* OtherMeAnnoysMe: He eventually admits that one of the main reasons he hates Norton is that he sees him as a "splinter" in his life. In Lez's own words, Norton represents everything Lez would be if he made the wrong choices in life. In reality, Norton is NotSoDifferent from Lez in any meaningful way, which is perhaps the real reason for their rivalry.

* NotSoDifferent: To the main protagonists. Hawthorne mostly picks on those weaker than him, including series [[ButtMonkey Butt-Monkeys]] Clarence, Norton and Daednu, the same people usually bullied by Lez and his friends. Lez even bonded with the cop by punting golf balls through Norton's window.

* SirSwearsALot: Fuck yeah, cunt. The show's original intro has Lez burst through the logo screen and say "what the fuck?", which should give an early indication of how polite the protagonists are. Swearing generally isn't considered as offensive in Australia, particularly CountryMatters, so long as the tone of the conversation is friendly.

* TrueCompanions: The central theme of the show is the unbreakable comradery of the main characters, reflective of Australian mateship. [[note]]Australia's cultural identity is historically rooted around intense interpersonal bonds between men that are considered "more than friendship"[[/note]] Big Lez is constantly floored by how far his mates are willing to go to help him in times of crisis.

Pete can apparently only communicate to the "real" timeline through drug-induced hallucinations, as Sassy and Donny both know of him.]]

Lez also has more friends and a son, which Norton seems to resent. [[spoiler:Only their father, King Laranox, seems to show any favouritism towards Norton.]]

* OnlySaneMan: Kizza seems to be one of the only named sasquatches that isn’t a drug-addled CloudCuckooLander, though he still seems to go on many wild offscreen adventures.

!Lezly "Lez" Mackerel
-> "What the fuck?"

The protagonist. An aggressive, bad-tempered, bitter old man living in Brown Town, Australia. It is revealed towards the end of season one that [[spoiler: he is an alien from Kingdom Cum and has been building a spaceship to return to the planet from which he was banished to confront his father.]]

Also known as "Noelsie", he is an engineer friend of Lez who went missing for some time on Choomah Island, but later aided in the battles that followed. Mike is also the star of the prequel, The Mike Nolan Show.

* AxCrazy: He gets out of a DUI inspection by basically bullying the cop into submission.

A character indistinguishable from Donnie apart from being grey instead of green and using a walking stick.

* BFG: He brought a large blunderbuss to Choomah Island.
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: He disappears after Season 4. While listing off where the other [[PutOnABus missing characters]] are to [[spoiler:Lez's memorial statue]], Nolan doesn't even bother to guess where Wayne-O is and just says he's gone somewhere else.

* NewAgeRetroHippie: A past-his-prime variant. He believes in various New Age theories about crystals, the Living Earth, relative time and so on.

* PowerCrystal: He studies a clear quartz crystal that he says is alive.

* ArchEnemy: to Norton Sparkles.

* AlwaysSecondBest: To Lez. While Norton is capable of putting up a decent fight against his brother, Lez almost always proves to be stronger. Norton usually has to rely on [[DirtyCoward dirty tricks]], [[{{Schemer}} scheming]], and [[AintTooProudToBeg pleading for his life]] when things don't go his way.

* PaletteSwap: Aside from his longer blonde hair and lack of glasses, he looks almost identical to Lez, save for the fact that he wears red shorts and a blue vest, an inversion of Lez's colour scheme. [[spoiler:It's an early hint that they're secretly brothers.]]

KarmaHoudini: Aside from the planet he planned to rule getting nuked; he never directly suffers any repercussions for mastermind the events of Season 4.

* PutOnABus: Sergio went for a short bus ride for the duration of Season 3 before being brought back in "Choomah Island 2", but since then he has never been seen or mentioned.

* TheFriendsWhoNeverHang: He exchanges all of one sentence with the main character Lex, when Lez asks him to pass him a guitar in The Finale. Otherwise, he exists to interact with the other Sasquatches and no one else.

!Bumble Brutus

* {{Gonk}}: He's a wrinkly seaweed-coloured nugget with arms and legs.

** Lez seems to grow increasingly unhinged as the series progresses while he stews his hatred for Norton and his father; his disturbingly graphic descriptions of [[ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill what he would do to Norton]] tend to make people wary of him.

* HiddenDepths: ''Mike Nolan's Long Weekend'' reveals that he's more than a little insecure about projecting a masculine image. For instance, he always wears his trademark high-viz shirt everywhere because he fears people would judge him as an unemployed layabout if he didn't.

The father of [[spoiler: Lez and Norton]] and the ruler of Kingdom Cum. Physically, he resembles Thor.

* HiddenDepths: In ''Long Weekend'', he reveals he's a pro skater.

A socially awkward white-furred Sasquatch from New Zealand and a member of the Secret Sasquatch Society. He travels across oceans on only a small rowing board.

* ChekhovsGunman: [[spoiler: That skiff of his comes in handy when he arrives just in time to rescue Mike Nolan and Quintin when they’re stranded in the middle of the ocean following the destruction of King Laranox's island base.]]

* PowerCrystals: He believes in various New Age theories about crystals, the Living Earth, relative time and so on.
