Don't agree with the "villain" statement - there've been plenty of villains by race standards. Hell, I'd go so far as to say Rob wasn't even a villain, just a camera-mugger.

Though their presence upset some fans (and still does, as they blame Rob & Amber for every subsequent appearance of a team from another Reality Show), there is no denying that Rob was one of the most important Racers ever. Not only did he bring fans over from ''{{Series/Survivor}}'', but he also compiled the modern {{Metagame}} by studying the tactics of former teams ([[Characters/TheAmazingRace5 Colin]], in particular). He was also the Race's only true villain (as opposed to just being an unlikable {{Jerkass}} like so many others) until J.J. came along in [[Characters/TheAmazingRace20 Season 20]]. Rob & Amber dominated the season, using techniques and tactics that upset the other teams and the fans, making some some truly entertaining television in the process, before finally falling in the finale to [[CallItKarma Karma]] and a cab driver who didn't think to speak Spanish in Little Havana. After creating such a huge splash, they would naturally be invited back for All-Stars.
