** Although Matt was the most prolific contestant when it came to utilizing Redemption Island (participating in every duel of the season and winning his way back to the merge through one-on-one duels), it can get lost that Mike actually stayed with Matt throughout the entirety of the post-merge (being the person eliminated right after him) and was a consistently stronger performer than him in the Redemption Island duels. The following few challenges were ones that 3 or 4 contestants participated in, with only the last-place finisher getting permanently eliminated until the final duel (where it was a winner-take-all). Of these 5 duels, Matt only won a single of them outright, with Mike actually being the first to finish 3 of them. Even in the final duel that Andrea won, Mike outlasted Matt.
