* OnlySaneMan: Of the forces arrayed against New Krypton, Corben seems to be the only one who is even remotely sane. He lacks Lane's obsessions and paranoia, Luthor's narcissism, Superwoman's need to prove herself, and Reactron and Codename: Assassin's AxeCrazy, and just wants to do the job. He actually has to rein Reactron in during their attack on New Krypton.

* TheDreaded: Following the events of ''Infinite Crisis'', Prime is a feared enough figure that Sinestro had him recruited into the Sinestro Corps for his ability to inspire fear. 1,000 years into the future, he's remembered only as a dark being and an inspiration for the Legion of Super-Villains.

* VillainDecay: In his last Post-Crisis appearance Prime was taken down by a group of ''Comicbook/TeenTitans'' despite the support of [[LegionOfDoom their other enemies]] and ''three'' clones of [[ComicBook/{{Superboy}} Kon-El]]. Compare this to ''Infinite Crisis'' where he single-handedly beat up not only the much larger group of the Titans, but the[[JusticeSocietyOfAmerica JSA]] and the Comicbook/DoomPatrol as well, or ''Legions of Three Worlds'' when he took [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin three versions of the Legion of Superheroes]], or the ''Sinestro Corps War'' when he killed the Antimonitor was tackled by almost every hero on Earth.

* FragileSpeedster: By Kryptonian standards. Compared to anybody else she's a LightningBruiser, and her determination and psychosis tend to make up for her comparitive weakness.

* AxeCrazy: Prime is now completely demented, and dangerously so.

* TautologicalTemplar: Prime is quite simply, a pychopath struggling to justify himself. Up until he decides to be "the greatest villain ever", he believes that since he is Superman, he can't be insane or villainous, because Superman wouldn't be those things. This is especially prominent when he murders Zod of [[{{Utopia}} Earth-15]], the Superman of that world, for not being a villain like most other Zods, along with [[WouldHurtAChild his]] [[WouldHitAGirl family]], responding to a cry of him being [[YoureInsane a maniac]].

* ForgottenFriendNewFoe: He's the one who started the trend towards these in comics. If you like [[Franchise/{{Batman}} Hush]] and [[MartianManhunter Malefic]], thank Conduit.

* FreudianExcuse: His/our world was destroyed (it's/we're better now), he's been stuck in a pocket dimension for years with a ManipulativeBastard and no-one remembers him. Clearly, this combined with his [[ManChild teenage mentality]] is the root of his insanity. But at the latest when he got back to his world and killed his girlfriend, it becomes clear that it doesn't hold water.

* VillainTeamUp: With LexLuthor and Ultraman on occasion.

* TheDragon: Has played this role to LexLuthor, Brainiac, and numerous others over the years. In larger teams he's usually...

* ManOfKryptonite: Metallo's Green K heart does bad things to Kryptonians, and he's often able to project its energies in the form of EyeBeams and other weapons. During the ''Last Son'' arc, LexLuthor upgraded him to carry Red K, Blue K, and Gold K as well, though he's lost these extras by the time of ''New Krypton''. Of all the Kryptonite-powered villains Superman has faced, he is easily the most popular and most enduring, in a large part thanks to the fact that he can back up his FlawExploitation with actual physical power.

* BaldOfEvil: In the Pre-Crisis era where, not unlike Brainiac, he closely resembled LexLuthor. This has been changed since, with many versions closely resembling Terence Stamp's iconic portrayal.

* VillainTeamUp: Pre-Crisis Ultraman allied with LexLuthor and Alexei Luthor in one memorable story, nearly killing the Supermans of Earths-1 & 2 in the process.

* BaldOfEvil

* BigBad: The Doomslayer clone was the BigBad and FinalBoss of both "Reign of Doomsday", and the Post-Crisis Superman title as a whole.

* DiabolusExNihilo \ TheSpook: Showed up out of ''freaking nowhere'' and absolutely wrecked the Justice League, Supergirl, Cadmus, Metropolis, and Superman.

* GodzillaThreshold: Doomsday is so far the only member of Superman's rogues gallery for whom lethal force is basically the only viable option 99% of the time, as he's an unthinking, unreasoning beast who will not stop for anything else.

* LegacyCharacter: [=DuBois=] wore the outfit first, then Trent, and following both of their deaths, and unknown mercenary adopted the costume.
* TheMentallyIll: [=DuBois=] suffered from PTSD like symptoms, and had a history of institutionalisation.

* ShootingSuperman: He actually can, as his guns tend to be very powerful and/or use kryptonite ammo.

* {{Archenemy}}: Of Jor-El. Superman inherits this grudge, which eventually becomes very personal for both of them. After Luthor and Brainiac, he's in fourth place on Superman's list of beings he genuinely hates.

* AscendedExtra: He was never a particularly prominent character in his original appearances; only an unremarkable name among the many Phantom Zoners. After the popularity of ''Superman II'', he was upjumped to being the leader of the Phantom Zoners.

* BaldOfEvil: In Pre-Crisis, he looked almost identical to Lex Luthor. He was understandably changed in his recent appearances (plus the popularity of Terence Stamp's portrayal).

* KryptoniteFactor: Defied. With his home universe dead, there was no Kryptonite left that could hurt him--at least until his encounter with the Threeboot!Legion, who were revealed to be from a new version of Earth-Prime.

* ChestInsignia: Originally had a version of Superman's "S" shield. He later replaced it with the Sinestro Corps symbol, but returned to displaying "S" in "Reign of Doomsday".

* HealingFactor: One of the most extreme ones in comic books. Thanks to the combination of his enhanced Kryptonian physique, his mechanical self-repair function, and his true nature as an EnergyBeing, Cyborg-Superman will recover from any injury, no matter how extreme.

* SufficientlyAdvancedAliens: This is how his abilities were described in his original [[TheGoldenAgeOfComicBooks Golden Age]] appearance.

* BroughtToYouByTheLetterS: Has featured the "S" symbol on his chest.

* ChestInsignia: Originally had a version of Superman's "S" shield. He later replaced it with the Sinestro Corps symbol.

* {{Joisey}}: ''WesternAnimation/CrisisOnTwoEarths'' gave Ultra-Man this accent, to emphasize him as a mob boss, or in his words, "da don of dons."
