* NearDeathExperience: She is left defenseless against the ''Scimitar'' in ''Nemesis''. [[spoiler:It's only through Data's HeroicSacrifice that she gets to live to fight another day.]]]] She also narrowly survived her cameo in ''WesternAnimation/StarTrekProdigy'', as it was confirmed she made it past this event into 2386 despite nearly being annihilated by the Living Construct's virus.

* UncertainDoom: She makes a cameo in ''WesternAnimation/StarTrekProdigy'' as part of a response fleet sent to intercept the stolen ''Protostar'', only for the ship's Living Construct weapon to plant a virus in the entire fleet to force them to tear one another apart. While the ''Protostar'' is destroyed to shut down the attack, it's not clear if the ''E'' made it, especially since ''Series/StarTrekPicard'' confirmed the ''Odyssey'' class ''Enterprise-F'' from ''VideoGame/StarTrekOnline'' is due to debut in Season 3.

* AllThereInTheManual: The novelization of First Contact reveals he actually suffers from Bipolar Disorder, and has a cranial implant designed to treat the disease. However, after the near societal collapse following WW3, he no longer has the resources to maintain the implant. His alcoholism thus a desperate attempt at self-medication. At the end of the story, Dr. Crusher provides him with a permanent fix, reasoning that there is nothing in the history books saying Cochrane was mentally ill, and that an unmedicated bipolar diplomat dealing with famously stoic visitors could be disastrous.

While her introductory dialogue in the film is obfuscating, her actions and later conversations reveal that she is a real person—not an avatar—and that she does, in fact, command the Collective. This fact is reinforced by both Voyager and Picard.

* [[TheManBehindTheMonsters The Woman Behind The Monsters]]: She is the entity who controls the Borg...sort of. More accurately, she's the personification of the Borg Collective.
