* AuthorityGrantsAsskicking: Warden of SEED and his presence commands authority. [[spoiler:Having the power of the Fathomless Dread turns him into one of the more dangerous people in the world and he proves it by effortlessly defeating Radea and Ares/Alice at one point.]]

* DropTheHammer: She uses a hammer in battle.

* BluntMetaphorsTrauma: Since she isn't fully fluent the Norad language she has trouble following metaphors and puns, usually taking them at face value or not understading them at all.

* DeathGlare: Her portrait has a sharp look in her eyes and some conversations, such as when Ares/Alice wonders how she disciplines Hina, mention her having a frightening glare.

* GreenThumb: Being an Earthmate and all that. This applies to the game too: if they harvest, or are atrund when their monsters are harvesting their crops the soil will grow, becoming "stronger".

* BewareTheNiceOnes: They're easygoing and very nice people, but put anyone they care about or Rigbarth in danger you'll be in for a lot of trouble.

* GreenThumb: Being an Earthmate and all that. This applies to the game too: if they harvest, or are at the moment their monsters are harvesting their crops the soil will grow, becoming "stronger".

** Many people mention they're a natural at farming which isn't surprising since both are an Earthmate.

* CrazyPrepared: In some conversations, Priscilla mentions packing tons of things for outings, such as rations, sleeping bags, first aid kits, medicine, and so-on, as she's worried that she'll either get badly hurt, catch a deadly cold, or get lost in the wilderness... while out on walks in town or going on picnics with friends. Even Ares/Alice are baffled at her overpreparedness trying to get her to calm and tone it down a bit.

* CuteClumsyGirl: Priscilla is prone to making several mistakes but is forgiven due to her sweet and innocent personality.
* TheCynic: A very, very downplayed example, but she always expects the worst outcome when going out and prepares accordingly as described in the CrazyPrepared entry above.

* PenPals: With Lucy, even though they live in the same town and meet each other daily. Priscilla just likes writing letters and Lucy mentions she is really good at it saying they read like a poem.

* ActionGirl: Out of all characters Scarlett is the one that's most involved in the main story appearing several times during dangerous situations.
* BerserkButton: Rule breakers is the most obvious one and troublemakers like Ludmila that give her a hard time in Rigbarth. She also really doesn't like when you start a conversation and cut it short for whatever reason.
* {{Bookworm}}: In her spare time, Scarlett loves to read different kinds of books. In her conversations, when she is introduced to look at things in a different perspective, she often mentions how she "didn't find it in the manual".

* DefrostingIceQueen: Does not accept the protagonist as a SEED member at first and challenges them to solve the incident of Rune energy disruption in Kelve Lava Caves: If she wins, the protagonist leaves SEED. If they win, she'll accept them. She becomes a lot less stern afterwards. Even more so as you befriend her: Scarlett will remain serious, but become more open and even do little things like fix Ares/Alice crooked collar for them.

* GracefulLoser: Declares herself the loser of the challenge she issued the player since she fell to Oswald and his Basilisk first, despite the protagonist pointing out they only captured Oswald with her help. On a lighter note if your Seal spell skill, Capture, is high enough she's miffed that people mistake her skill for your's and, when you get it even higher, at 100, Scarlett sincerely congratulate you saying you're way above her with the Seal spell.

* BloodKnight: Downplayed than most examples, but she's one of the more enthusiastic party members in combat.

* JerkassRealization: After some time, she knows she was wrong about the protagonist and is apologetic for her distrusting behavior.

* TruthSerums: She receives a cursed mirror as a gift from her father that functions as such, causing her to be uncharacteristically honest with her feelings. Before finding out the true nature of the mirror she also shows it to Martin, Reinhard, and Randolph who in turn end up stubbornly and openly trying to emulate Darroch's work habits or admitting to incredibly minor and poorly hidden secrets they're keeping from Beatrice and Yuki respectively. [[spoiler:This comes into play later to get her to admit why she's been closing herself off to the protagonist]]

* AffectionateGestureToTheHead: Ares/Alice does it unintentionally in a day-to-day conversation trying to fix Fuuka's bed hair. Fuuka is surprisingly ok with it even complimenting them. [[spoiler:It gets a lot less funnier in one of her dating events where this surprises her enough to instinctively and accidentally claw Ares/Alice lightly in the face, much to her own horror and shame.]]

* BluntMetaphorsTrauma: Since she isn't native to the Norad language she has trouble following metaphors and puns, usually taking them at face value or not understading them at all.

* CrutchCharacter: Downplayed. In terms of self-healing Fuuka can more or less take care of herself at early game, but soon enough her meals won't keep up with the damage she'll take and you'll have to either give her items or keep your Cure All spell handy. As long as you keep Fuuka properly geared she will deal a lot of damage.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: She's been through some tough times, with people taking advantage of her kind nature and fooling her, but she takes it in stride. However, during one of her romance events she mentions she never enjoyed work until she arrived in Rigbarth.

* ExposedToTheElements: Fuuka mentions she and her race doesn't really feel much cold. She still doesn't like it, though.
* FurryReminder: Played for laughs. Fuuka often does dog-like things like bury stuff (mostly things she doesn't like), sniff people (ones she takes a liking to), fish with her own hands and one of her random conversation has her chasing her own tail with a bemused Ares/Alice wondering how she doesn't get dizzy.

* LanguageBarrier: Downplayed. She is unable to speak human language proficiently, her few lines and words spoken in it tend to be somewhat off such as her frequent use of "spar-klee". She generally has no problem understanding what is said to her, outside of Heinz's excessive use of puns.
** This causes a bit of trouble during Fuuka's confession event. Ares/Alice has no idea how to explain how different "going out" with Fuuka would be, or make her heart feel "thumpy", which Fuuka dislikes since she relates the feeling to when she met the Scary Thing.

* ThePollyanna: The description and Fuuka herself mentions going through some tough times before her life in Rigbarth, but she'd rather live the day of today rather than delve in the past.

* BewareTheSillyOnes: If you date her, [[spoiler:she learns she's been entering the other resident's dreams and eating their emotions. She tries to leave Rigbarth for everyone's safety. Ares/Alice tries to go after them, only for her to tell them to stay away and casts a spell to immobilize them and knock them unconscious.]] This is quite a shock her behavior beforehand.
* BizarreTasteInFood: Rainbow Trout recipes are among her loved gifts. They're poisonous food but Ludmila knows it and she doesn't care because she enjoys the pain.

* ManicPixieDreamGirl: Not that Ares/Alice ''needed'' this in first place, but Ludmila certainly brings even more, er, eventful things to their life in Rigbarth.

* PimpedOutDress: Her dress is very poofy with ruffles to match with it.

* BizarreTasteInFood: She has a tendency of wanting to put strawberries into dishes that definitely aren't suited for them.

* DoesNotLikeSpam: She is not able to handle hot foods as they burn her tongue and during her princess life prior to arriving in Rigbarth her food would always arrive cold since it needed to be checked for poison.

* MissingMom: Strangely, no mention of Beatrice's mother is mentioned.

* NoSocialSkills: One of his events mentions he tried to run the selling part of the blacksmith. People mentioned he either came of as cold and impatient or had a very unnerving [[{{TheUnSmile}} "smile"]] when greeting them. Part of that even is helping him deal with this issue.

* BizarreTasteInFood: He has an extremely poor sense of taste, which makes it hard for him to give his opinion on dishes. He has a particular liking for failed dishes, which is known to taste bad.

* DarkAndTroubledPast: The incident mentioned below was so bad for him that not even his sister knows about it.

* PersonAsVerb: Adjective actually. "Murakumo-proof" means something so sturdy it would break even if Murakumo accidentally bumped into it.

* DivineDate: He's one of the romanceable characters, and he's a god.

* CruelToBeKind: During Martin's romance events, he snidely taunts Martin for moping around while Darroch injured his arm and thus can't fulfill a customer's order. Despite upsetting Martin, Julian, and Ares/Alice and making Hina cry (which further aggravates Julian), doing so is to break Martin out of his funk because moping isn't going to accomplish anything. This snaps Martin back to his senses and motivates him to mine ore and handle the order for Darroch.

** Later on he admits he wasn't telling the whole truth and decides to trust Ares/Alice with the full details. He reveals his family comes from a line of honorable thieves starting with King Basara reclaiming other people's stolen goods, but with laws enacted, thieves were disapproved by society even if honorable. The public news is that he was caught, but Ryker believes he turned himself in. His brother became the next Basara, but wasn't cut out for it and now steps into the role himself stealing from lowlifes.

* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: [[spoiler:If you decide to date him, it reveals that he wasn't completely honest about his dad abandoning him. He comes from a lineage of thieves to return ill gotten items to their owners. In those days, the world was a lawless place, but as actual laws were put into place, honorable thieves were still deemed as thieves, so his dad turned himself in. He then picks up his family legacy to steal a crown from a dishonest family of merchants. He makes a deal with Ares/Alice that if they can touch him, they can turn him over to SEED. He successfully escapes, but takes the blow from the Green Kaiser. Ares/Alice check up on him and take him to the clinic. After some treatment from Simone, Ryker sneaks out of the clinic to let Livia and Scarlett arrest him. Livia is willing to look the other way while Scarlett has to pull loopholes saying that while Ryker did steal, the people he stole from didn't obtain the item legally.]]

* TheGadfly: She can be quite mischievous and enjoys messing with the more serious people so they lighten up even if a bit.

* HiddenDepths: During Fuuka's confession event it is Livia who gives the right words so Fuuka can understand and accept Ares/Alice feelings. Considering you never ever hear Livia talking about love, this is surprising.

* NotSoAboveItAll: Give her favorite gift, Pumpkin Flan (of the Stars), and watch her reaction. It's as far as it can get from her normally professional, composed and serious Field Captain self.

* ProperlyParanoid: Twice in the story: [[spoiler:Livia always suspected Gideon was up to no good and avoiding meeting him turned out to be a ''very'' wise decision since if he had learned of Livia's true form things could get a lot worse for everyone. Additionally she faked the soulsphere registrations for her and Ares/Alice, since the unusual readings from the soulsphere would draw Gideon to them like a moth to a flame, and this proved to be even life-saving as Gideon sapped the Rune energy from Rigbarth using Radea and the soulsphere data. Without it only Ares/Alice and Livia were unaffected.]]

* SelfImposedExile: Livia has her reasons for this. But while you never see her leaving the SEED office, she mentions about going on night shift patrols. Livia isn't perfectly fine with this situation as in one of her random conversations she muses at everything she wanted to do to relax in Rigbarth but can't. [[spoiler:Later in the story she explains that staying in dragon form exhausts her and her human form is weak that even Julian could overpower her, making going outside too dangerous for her.]]

* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Pumpkin Flan is Livia's absolute favorite sweet among other sweets.

* CombatMedic[=/=]DeadlyDoctor: If she joins you during an adventure, she's able to heal the other characters and inflict statuses the enemies by throwing Object X on them. Give her a Throwing Ring and watch the science happen.
* DoesNotLikeSpam: Apples and tomatoes. The apples are explained if Scarlett is your lover. [[spoiler:Simone's mother once cured a patient, but used discord apples, an item deemed illegal and imprisioned for life, dying a criminal. They're quite the sore spot for her that not even Lucy and Julian know about it.]]

* MadDoctor: Played for laughs. While she's not on [[VideoGame/RuneFactory3 Marian]] levels of crazy, Simone mentions she'll be using the protagonist as their guinea pig should they keep coming to the clinic after fainting. She also offhandedly mentions wanting to test new medicines on them which understandably unnerves them. During Valentine's Day/White Day if your FP is high enough she'll give a cookie and make a joke about not having put anything weird in it... At least it is what Ares/Alice hope.
** Another amusing example is in Priscilla's event where Julian [[ItMakesSenseInContext plays the part of a princess in one of Priscilla's skits]] and he's still miffed about not being the prince, the main character. Simone says Julian is upset because he's playing the part of a "girl" and offers to test a gender-changing medicine on him. Julian thinks his mom is kidding at first until he realizes she actually may be serious which makes him freak out and bolt away from the clinic. Simone says she got carried away in being "evil" for her part. Or so she claims.

** In one of Lucas' events she has to ask him not to perform his magic tricks after it gets dark as she worries about Rigbarth's children since they like them so much they don't go home until Lucas finishes his show. Once one of the tricks accidentally scares and injures Yuki she is forced to have him stop doing them for the time being.
** Fuuka's romance events mentions Simone made Fuuka train and restrain herself from scratching people if she got spooked in order to accept her living in town as she couldn't take in someone who could hurt others, even if by accident, in Rigbarth.

* BrattyHalfPint: He's much more of a troublemaker than Hina is and often gets scolded by Simone and Lucy. One of his conversations has him trying to prank the protagonist into falling in a hole he dug. However, Julian does realize if he messes up bad and goes too far.

* HiddenDepths: He wants to be stronger than Hina not only out of pride, but because he also wants to be the one protecting her.

* SharedFamilyQuirks: Julian and Lucy share the same problem of being too prideful to ask for help to someone directly. Some of Lucy's behavior also rubbed off on Julian: he's very competitive quickly declaring himself rivals with Hina and Ares/Alice, but he also wants to protect people he cares about and while how he does this differ from Lucy's, they both become panicked at the mere thought of people they care about being in danger.

* FearOfThunder: Not surprising given her age. During typhoons she'll get scared of lightnings.

* TrademarkFavoriteFood: She likes juices made with fruits, Apple, Orange, Grape, and Fruit Juice or Fruit Smoothie that has all three of them are her loved gifts. She also likes Hot Milk, Strawberry Milk and Omelet Rice as well.

* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Baked sweets like Chocolate Sponge, Chocolate Cake, Cheesecake and Pancakes are her favorites (all which have pretty demanding recipes). Conversely, Elsje also enjoys simple meals like Toast and Onigiri.

* CoolBigSis: Priscila, Lucy and Fuuka are all rather charmed by her mature side and Misasagi is more than glad to help them when in more "womanly" topics.

* DeathGlare: Her portrait has a sharp look in her eyes and some conversations, such as when Ares/Alice wonders how she disciplines Hina, mentions her having a frightening glare.

* DoesNotLikeSpam: Dislikes pizza for the amount of grease.
* ForcedTransformation[=/=]ShapeshifterModeLock: It's unclear if her Nine-Tailed Fox form was caused by something or of if she can morph into it at will. Given Misasagi never mentions it again it may be the former.

* ToughLove: One of her dialogues has her wondering if she's too harsh on how she raises Hina due to being a single mother. Given that Hina only has nothing but good things to say about her it's all in Misasagi's head. Misasagi is ''much more'' strict with Murakumo, however.

* TheParanoiac: Downplayed. He sometimes feels someone may be having eyes on him, but he admits he may be just being a little too paranoiac.

* PrivateDetective: Becomes one early on after passing down his store to Misasagi. Cecil mentions he works often with SEED. Terry does take less glamurous jobs like of the "if my significant other is cheating" kind, and while he isn't happy with them it helps him pay the bills.

* BunnyEarsLawyer: Despite all of his silly jokes and puns he is a competent salesman and, thanks to his expertise in gems, can quickly shut down conartists by playing up his eccentricity to the point of looking like he's TooDumbToFool. He also has a ''very'' sharp eye for valuable stones and notices them in the Blue Moon, Murakumo's inn.

* ObfuscatingStupidity: He's quick to catch on to a conartist attempting to sell him a fake ruby. He enrages the man by in turn either by offering to pay with simple things like food in the Japanese version or, in the English version, whatever the G might be in the conartist's 2,000,000G offer, such as Giggles or Guffaws. This is even after it was clarified that G is Gold.

* DropTheHammer: Uses a (surprise, surprise...) hammer to fight.

* NoodleIncident: His sleeping dialogue has him muttering he doesn't want to be Simone's errand boy anymore.

* BadBoss: [[spoiler:He has a bad tendency of getting rid of people who can become problematic, or that no longer have any use for him. During the story he tries to off ''every'' person that has allied themselves with him, including Oswald and even Radea.]]
* BerserkButton: [[spoiler:He wasn't the most sane person to begin with and Livia calling him "traitor" to SEED pushes that button ''really'' hard especially since he considers everything he's done justified in the name of peace.]]

* ContrastingSequelAntagonist: [[spoiler:Whereas [[VideoGame/RuneFactory4 Ethelberd]] wanted full control of the world merely because of his megalomaniac insanity and would bring war to other countries, Gideon wants to rid the world of all conflict and injustice. Additionally, unlike Ethelberd who went out of his way to obtain as much power as he could, Gideon did not sought his "source" of power, the Fathomless Dread, the Fathomless Dread found Gideon. Lastly Ethelberd possessed someone while Gideon was the one who got possessed.]]

* HeroicWillpower: [[spoiler:Once Gideon realizes he was a WellIntentionedExtremist indeed he expels the Fathomless Dread from his body ''on his own''. To put this in perspective: it took the '''entire willpower and prayers of the people of Rigbarth with help of Livia and Radea''' to force that thing out of Ares/Alice after it possessed them after the final battle.]]

* TheLeader: And also one of the founders of SEED.

* BerserkButton: She ''really'' hates Ares/Alice. The mere sight of them is enough to send her into a barely contained fury.

* DayHurtsDarkAdjustedEyes: [[spoiler:She feels sunny days are a bit "too bright" for her tastes. Being the Dark Dragon has its cons, okay?]]

* FatalFlaw: Lack of self-control. More specifically over her anger and impulsiveness. [[spoiler:It makes her easy to be manipulated by Gideon even before he messed with her runes since she trusts him after his information turns out to be good, not even bothering to think ''why'' he would help her. Later on she recklessly attacks him in blind rage with no plan only to be defeated by him despite being in her dragon form. On a lighter note Livia also knows this and has to calm her down during the first time Radea goes to Rigbarth and she was still upset with everything, Livia even calls her "bonehead".]]

* WhenSheSmiles: [[spoiler:Gifting her something she truly likes makes her give a very warm smile.]]

* GreenThumb: Being an Earthmate/maiden and all that. This applies to the game too: if they harvest, or are at the moment their monsters are harvesting their crops the soil will grow, becoming "stronger".

* ManipulativeBastard: [[spoiler:Told Radea an Earthmate/maiden killed her sister and on top of that messed with her runes which made Radea much more violent and likely to obey him.]]

* BackFromTheDead: She's introduced being revived from just a skull by Oswald and, accidentally, the protagonist who was unaware of their Earthmate/maiden powers.

* BigSisterWorship: Radea clearly loves her sister [[spoiler:and being told that an Earthmate/maiden killed her, alongside Gideon messing with her runes (consequently her mind) made her grow an anger of homicidal proportions towards Ares/Alice. Once that mess is cleared she moves to Rigbarth and the first thing she always do during the day is visit Livia. She also makes sure to let you know what Livia likes if you didn't know before.]]

* MoralityChain: Her sister. Losing her is what made Radea [[spoiler:join Gideon and become immediately hostile towards Ares/Alice, who is an Earthmate/maiden. Later it's revealed her sister is Livia and once Radea realizes Livia is alive she stops working for Gideon without a second thought.]]

* TragicBigot: She hates Earthmates/maidens [[spoiler: for sealing her sister away and reducing her to bones, basically killing her.]]

* SpellMyNameWithAnS: His original Japanese name (リュカ / Ryuka) can be translated as Lyka, Luka, Ryuka, or even Lucas. The English translation interprets his name as Ryker, [[OneSteveLimit to avoid making it too similar to or the same as Lucas, another character whose Japanese name (ルーカス / Luukasu) has fewer localization options than リュカ / Ryuka.]]

* ProfessionalSlacker: Elsje is mostly lazy and apathetic but she's good at what she does and even baffles Simone who is in disbelief at how ''fast'' he can get orders done just so she can laze around a bit more. She's always trying to [[JustForPun cook up]] reasons to skip job, close her restaurant and, if Ares/Alice Cooking skill is high enough, suggesting them to work for her (or even take over her restaurant). One of her dialogues has her being serious for once... Only because she wants to find a way to finish her recipes as fast as possible.

* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Rainbow Sashimi and Salted P. Trout.

* BewareTheNiceOnes: Don't mistake her polite and gentle nature fool you, she's perfectly capable of fighting [[spoiler:and her romance events goes in depth how far she's willing to self-sacrifice in order to aid the people of Norad.]] Beatrice has some of the harshest dialogues if you trigger her jealousy scenes too.

* DoesNotLikeSpam: She is not able to handle hot foods as they burn her tongue and her princess life prior to arriving in Rigbarth, her food would always arrive cold since it needed to be checked for poison.

* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Asks Ares/Alice [[spoiler:to rescue Ludmila and once she's rescued tells her to stay in Rigbarth since she had nothing to do with Gideon's plans and has dreams of settling down in a village someday. ]]
* MistreatmentInducedBetrayal: [[spoiler:After the events Atohl's End when Radea, under Gideon's orders, tried to kill him, Ares/Alice and Scarlett to tie up loose ends Oswald gets pissed at Gideon enough to rat him out to Livia asking only for his freedom in exchange. Later he's still pretty miffed about the whole ordeal, so much he also talks about his secret base in the sky. With that said Ares/Alice had to work quite a bit to find him again.]]

* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: [[spoiler:At the end of Chapter 1 he is well aware that [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness he's of no use to Gideon anymore]] and decides to quickly and quietly get out of Dodge after ensuring Ludmila's safety.]]

* BewareTheNiceOnes: Don't mistake her polite and gentle nature fool you, she's perfectly capable of fighting [[spoiler:and her romance events goes in depth how far she's willing to self-sacrifice in order to aid the people of Norad.]]

* ShelteredAristocrat: A refined young lady who grow up in luxury, but is also detached from the outside world. Some of her day-to-day conversations has Beatrice blissfully ignorant of common things which Ares/Alice tend to point out.
