* LightIsNotGood: The God of Light is a being of creation, not goodness, who created all plants and animals; he and the God of Darkness created humanity together, but he is the god humanity prefers to seek blessings and help from as he's perceived to be more empathic and cordial. However, the Lost Fable and subsequent appearances casts doubt on this image, highlighting him instead as a [[OrderVsChaos rigidly order-oriented being with little interest in deviating from the hardline rules he's set with his brother, regardless of how suffocating they really are and how lopsided they are in his favor.]] When the God of Darkness destroys humanity for rebelling against the gods, the God of Light permits it to occur without resistence then justifies it by claiming that humanity is a failed 'experiment'. He leaves the rebellion's immortal leader alone on an empty world as punishment for defying the gods; while he later offers Ozma one chance to redeem humanity, he makes it clear that failure will result in him declaring humanity irredeemable and destroying the planet itself.

* AnAesop: His strategic failure is used in class by Dr. Oobleck as an example of how people who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it, and as an example of why research and tactics are absolutely vital to Huntsmen. Lagune's lack of knowledge about Faunus' night vision led to a single disastrous strategy that changed the entire outcome of the war.

* AnAesop: In Volume 8, Ozpin uses the tale to teach the Aesop that, if a person doesn't learn from their failures, it doesn't matter how far they run -- they will never truly escape them. In Volume 9, Weiss comments that the tale has an Aesop before interrupting herself to complain all fairy tales have Aesops.

* AnAesop: The message from the tale is that no one should be fighting the Grimm alone. Strength lies in unity and working together as a team. Ozpin speculates that the lesson of this tale is something the leaders of the four kingdoms need to learn because working together will ensure they can accomplish more than each of them alone.

* AnAesop: Ozpin comments that there are several messages in this tale. Magical items can help, harm, or do both at the same time. They tend to be cautionary tales warning how thin the dividing line between good and evil really is. He also observes that the tale is a message that bad things can happen to good people. However, the most important lesson of the tale is that the king learns that, while knowledge is power, too much knowledge can make people powerless. What matters, therefore, is what you choose to do, or don't do, with the artifacts, knowledge, or power you do have.

* AnAesop: The moral of this tale changes with the teller. It's one of the most used tales for propaganda in the world, so more versions of this tale exist than any other. The version Ozpin tells has been put together from many versions to try and create a balanced story. Its moral is to not put all your faith into a single person and set your expectations of them too high, a mistake he feels both the Man and the Girl made in equal measure.

* AnAesop: Ozpin notes that the moral of this tale is quite a heavy one for a children's story. People are burdened with responsibility for the world and will be the final arbiters of their fate. People must come together and live each day as if the gods will be arriving to judge them tomorrow. Humanity has a choice: they can either create a beautiful, peaceful world or they can destroy themselves and their planet. Even if they don't believe in gods, people have a responsibility to share in this common destiny and make life better for everyone.

* AnAesop: Professor Ozpin observes that this fairy tale is often used as a cautionary tale by parents to discourage their children from wandering off on their own or relying too much on others to save them. However, Ozpin believes the true message of the story is that if a person is capable of helping others, it is their responsibility to try, regardless of whether that help takes the form of fighting evil or simply being kind to others.

The World of Remnant is a place full of nomadic wanderers, mythic tales, and secret histories. While most of its inhabitants gather together in kingdoms, some walk a life unconnected to nations. Still others are figures of the distant past and ancient legends, whose reach continues to affect the present. And still others are beings that defy all explanation, their existence known only to a select few.

People who choose not to tie themself to one nation in order to extend their reach, or those whose nationality has been forgotten.

Famous throughout Remnant for being the heroine of a beloved children's story, the real Alyx was a selfish girl who really did fall into a fairy tale world.
